I prefer altcoins than Bitcoin because potential altcoins can give high return. On the other hand, Bitcoin is more secure and trustworthy. If you want to invest on altcoins then you can choose top 50 coins from CoinMarketCap. I hope you'll get your desire profit.

At this time, as the world is with the fundamentals on the surface, I think that the safest thing is to make slow and safe purchases of BTC, why? is the safest crypto, the only one that could attest that it will grow yes or yes, when? It is not known, but I know that it will grow in price, and I say buy little by little because if the war gets more serious it is likely that due to the feelings of many investors it will cause panic and this will cause many to sell as it is and the price will drop, here just apply "buy the dip" and then wait and continue buying the dip, because it is a way to amaze the wealth that will happen at some point.

In a bear market, altcoins fall faster than Bitcoin (ie Bitcoin dominance recovers somewhat but has to wait for the next bull market to go really high.)
Looks like Altcoins are currently undergoing massive changes in the crypto market, I think right now it is appropriate to do something about Altcoins and also Bitcoin seems promising for the future.
I see Altcoins are still as usual in general despite the current unstable market conditions,
when talking about Bitcoin I think there is no doubt because it is the king of crypto,
for long-term investments it is very safe other than that Bitcoin remains a promising coin and can generate profits

We should be both priority. Both are beat coin in the crypto market. Bitcoin and Ethereum are most valuable coin. Buy bitcoin ia longest crypto and bitcoin price more higher than ETH. But both are good relationship because when bitcoin price pump then ETH price will pump also. For good choice in long term investment in bitcoin. But both are good choice in investment.
The two of them have become one of the biggest now.
Bitcoin is king and that's undeniable, ETH a lot of people say will be the next Bitcoin and now they can be said as one of the leading altcoins. all of that is not just a figment and it is a fact that will still be the distinguishing force for these two coins.
it's not very funny to compare these two coins with various arguments but still confused about having them. I personally prefer to be in both if indeed I have more money there because this is the best rather than just confused about which comparison is the best

Not only just limited with ETH alone but also in other altcoins as well which as long it could give out profits then thats what matter most.As long you do have the money to invest then it wouldnt
really be a problem as long you could able to bare the risks involved then so be it because not all would really be having that of consideration when it comes to investment decisions.
Neither going for long term or short term then it would vary because everything in market is totally unpredictable.

We both agree about bitcoin as the strongest of them all. But there are also some altcoins that are also strong with its fundamental and growth. People just can't ignore that.
Correct. Bitcoin should be the priority as it is the best coin for investment. But ignoring to invest in altcoins with big potential to gain profits is very unfortunate. We mustn't avoid the opportunity to gain profits in altcoins, some altcoins really have good fundamentals and look to grow/survive for a long time. BNB and ETH are examples of altcoins that are secure to invest in, because they are owned by almost each crypto investor. If we check their market caps, it is very visible to know it.
You have to choose which altcoins are going to be profitable. I won't say it's very unfortunate if you've missed buying those with potential. Do you know how to choose those that have the potential? If so, it's your fault if you don't choose them.

Nevertheless, bitcoin is known to be the best of them all.

No reasonings and excuses about that because it's the fact that others don't like to accept.

I don’t think the primary market has much to do with the secondary market. When Bitcoin fluctuates, altcoins still rise, and although Bitcoin has been on the rise, the current market value wants to fall under the principal of the investment. It needs to be held for a long time, and the currency value of altcoins is small, so the multiple of growth is relatively large. I think short-term altcoins and long-term bitcoins are very good choices.

When there is a dip the altcoins suffer the more than the bitcoin but when there bull the bitcoin grows faster than the altcoins. This doesn't just happen like that, it happens because of how the people react to the market and enter the market and leave the market at any time. What I don't understand is when there is first and second.  But according to you it is because of the strong support that bitcoin forms
The first is always bitcoin because it's the market mover and despite its slow growth and movement based on what people see. They don't realize that it's always the first to catch up.

And when it falls, it's pulling all of the altcoins in the market and have their price depreciates.

The temporary increase always comes in handy for altcoins because everyone is starting to understand the "altcoin season". And that's usually being seen just after bitcoin pumps.

Bitcoin moves faster during the first bull run mostly because  of a major correction move and decline slower than altcoin because it's major support zone gets retested first before the market decides which other direction to follow and in the second run altcoin moves faster in the bull run because Bitcoin needs to recover from the previous dips. While altcoin soar higher recovering faster. Same applies in the dip

Looking into the market from Last year's perspective till now I will say altcoin increases rapidly and also decreases than Bitcoin. But I don't think this should be one only consideration in holding both coins. For now, I hold the two not because of the listed fact but because of the potential with the coins I decide to invest in and other factors.
Agreed. It is better to hold both as it gives substantial profits. Diversifying our portfolio is a must. As for me, it is 60% BTC and 40% divided into alts that I would like to succeed in the long run. Ranges from Matic to Metaverse coins like P2E Metalands and DeFi sectors like SOV. Its better to enter now as it is still bearish.

Bitcoin is more reliable than altcoin because when the price of bitcoin is going higher and altcoin price will be going higher too and when the price of bitcoin is going down, altcoin  price will be going down too, show that bitcoin price create opportunity for altcoin price to increase or decrease in the community. Bitcoin price increase to $39k few days ago that was giving people hope that the price will soon hit back to $75k which was also making altcoin price to move higher to where people can make a little profit before the end of the month of February.

People prefer to invest a huge amount of money in bitcoin because the price has decreased to the level where both Rich and poor can invest and start making a good profit. Bitcoin investment is very easy for people to start earning from their long and short term investment compare to altcoin investment that will take many years before the users can make something reasonable from their investment.

It's hard to answer because we need bitcoin to buy most of the altcoins. However, we never know for sure which altcoins will generate huge profits and which will not even though they are the top altcoins.
I personally would definitely prioritize buying bitcoins in the long term and altcoins in the short to medium term and when they are profitable I will sell them.
besides, in this case, when people realize this, there will be separate strategies. So, chances are, we all have different answers. Personally, even though I know this, I still use altcoins. when the bitcoin price goes up, i think the altcoin price will go up in the near future, and think of a further strategy. however, if the price of an altcoin goes down, I will most likely hold on to the altcoint. I did this because I felt that it was quite profitable compared to using bitcoin at that time.

Altcoins do rise in percentage 2x or even 3x or even higher than that than Bitcoin, yes it is true. But have you asked yourself why that is? The reason is simple. No other coin has the market cap of Bitcoin. Altcoins have small market caps. And when there are only a few coins going around, each sold or bought Altcoin will create a much bigger impact than every sold Bitcoin.

While this sounds good in practice, you must remember that Altcoins are not Bitcoin. And they do not enjoy the same level of confidence in their value from investors. So as much as they go up in price, they go down just as hard.
Thats why people do really love on touching or dealing with altcoins since they could possibly able to make profit on bigger multipliers unlike if they do only stick with bitcoin where it do only gives
2x maximum or more in the future but it isnt really appealing for most people who do love to be millionaires which could only be possible on dealing with low caps which would make out some
decent returns but of course the risk involved would really be higher as expected. Some do love to play with fire thats why they do really ending up with this kind of
option but there are people who do love to stick on whats the most suitable and recommendable investment.

A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.

I have been watching this market for a long time.

It seems that in the early part of a bull market, Bitcoin goes up faster than altcoins (ie Bitcoin dominance goes up.)  In the late part of a bull market, Bitcoin still goes up but altcoins go up even better (ie Bitcoin dominance goes down.)

In a bear market, altcoins fall faster than Bitcoin (ie Bitcoin dominance recovers somewhat but has to wait for the next bull market to go really high.)

So, it would seem the correct play is to buy altcoins at this point, and then convert them into Bitcoin (or sell) when you see the bull market ending?

Any thoughts?

[I used to post as BobK71, and am using a new account after some logistical mixup.]

Well if you consider alts as a alternative investment then it's fine to go. Alts can give you more than 5-10x in short period. But it's also not reliable. But if you're looking for strong investment then go for btc . Alts move fast that's why everyone can gain much profit from it
That's what the meaning of alts is.

We both agree about bitcoin as the strongest of them all. But there are also some altcoins that are also strong with its fundamental and growth. People just can't ignore that. There's nothing wrong if someone goes for a full blast of bitcoin.

Before I was like that and then just tried to explore with some alts. Maybe in the next few years when I'm able to make that much with these alts that I hold, I'll return them back to bitcoin. It's my main goal, to hold more btc.

What Are Altcoins? Altcoins are cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin (BTCUSD). They share characteristics with Bitcoin but are also different in other ways. For example, some altcoins use a different consensus mechanism to produce blocks or validate transactions.

Why not both. Bitcoin has been and is a promising coin for its return when invested in it. Mother of crypto has been so strong in its growth and seeing its growth so many crypto currencies have been brought in. We have best altcoins which have returned so much revenue when BTC has ATHs last year. I have invested max in altcoin rather than Bitcoin. Altcoins require less investment. I go with Bitcoin when planned to invest more.
