When it comes to fluctuating everyone also probably already knows that everything in crypto is volatile. and that's one of those things that can't be changed or abandoned because everything is like that.
and maybe it's true for these coins for Altcoin is one that belongs to a large market capitalization compared to other altcoins, but on the other hand when compared to bitcoin it actually remains small and will definitely increase sharply when bitcoin experiences an increase and vice versa will also decrease very large when bitcoin is experiencing a correction.
yes fluctuating cannot be eliminated from cryptocurrencies. but not all altcoins are like that, there are some altcoins that go up when the bitcoin price is down. people who hold altcoins of this kind in their wallets are certainly very happy because the exchange rate against bitcoin has certainly increased dramatically.

this happens because altcoins have a smaller price capitalization than btc.
and very naturally it will feel more profitable because the price is even smaller.
when btc goes up altcoins will definitely go up several times but conversely when btc goes down altcoins will even go down more.
actually it is reasonable with the capitalization of the profits will be very much but the risk of losing it will be a lot too.
In my opinion, altcoins that have large market capitalizations such as ETH and BNB experience a percentage increase in price or decrease in price that is not far from bitcoin. but it is different from altcoins which have a small market capitalization because the price tends to be more volatile, so the percentage decline and increase in price can be very far from bitcoin.

In the long term future, there is no score for tens of thousands of different cryptocurrencies. Only the best mode of payment is going to survive, along with a few dozen niche-specific coins. For Bitcoin, I am 100% sure about its survival. The developers are working hard to remove the bugs and now with the Lightning Network becoming popular, transaction fee as well as the time required for getting confirmations have gone down considerably. But the same can't be said about the other alts. Look at ETH. A lot of users have been complaining about the high transaction fee. But the developers just refuse to listen.

Both, from a few weeks ago I started to invest in altcoins that show to be promising. I intend to vary well in the choices to have a lesser risk of losing everything or a lot.

That's right, relying on investments in many places is certainly more profitable than just focusing on one place, if that place has problems then we are the same as pastor orator from far away.
Really, I think the chance of a promising currency doubling or tripling is much greater than btc doubling its value at this point. I intend to start investing in eth too, in the long term I believe it can bring an interesting return.

I prefer bitcoin for very long future promising opportunities in the future ,sounds very good but yesterday's increase was bullish for ethereum due to the increase in bictoin and apart from that ,there are many positive side of product updates ,It's possible that the price will increase in the future so we'll just have to wait together

When you increase the market capitalization of Bitcoin by buying it, you will certainly affect it less than if you use altcoins, due to the difference in market capitalization. So you will influence the price of an altcoin more than Bitcoin and a better idea if you want to hold bitcoin you want a more stable and reliable cryptocurrency. That is the most sincere advice I give you and note that any investment is risky, if you invest with a small amount of capital the risk will be small but if you invest a large amount, the risk is small. The risks are very high, so always hone your market knowledge and skills to be a smart investor.

Bitcoin is the foundation of cryptocurrency and it dominates the crypto market. Bitcoin is the best choice for long-term investment, and its risk is less than that of altcoins.

The price changes of altcoins usually also change with the price of bitcoin. When the price of bitcoin rises, you can also choose safer altcoins, and their prices will rise follow the trend.

Bitcoin benefits for being the first crypto, but if we pay attention to market trends, the bitcoin market cap continues to decline, this is because there are more and more good coins and continue to grow so that bitcoin's position can one day go down, but the most important thing for me is to always take profits from bitcoin because we don't know whether it's still profitable for the long term or not.

bitcoin will always be the best at least for the next few years, but altcoins are now quite good even though they can't be separated and still follow bitcoin prices but altcoins I think are quite tempting, apart from the price is relatively cheaper altcoins also have a pretty good market capitalization at least for now.
but if there is an option between choosing bitcoin or altcoin I think I will make the third option which is to buy both.
because indeed both are quite good even though in altcoins only a few are good but it is not wrong to adopt both because they are equally profitable.

Bitcoin dominance already proven for a decade now and if we will going to choose which one is good for investment then it will always bitcoin but as of now we can't also deny that altcoins are doing better today that it could be also a good asset to adds up in your wallet. So if I would be going to ask why would choose between the two if you could have the opportunity to have both. OP's idea to buy altcoins which has a good growth and could give investors a good return of investment then after getting an ROI put some to buy bitcoin for me is a wise decision.
Already been a decade and it had proven out that there's no one could able to beat up bitcoin and replacing it on the peak spot but its never been an assurance that it would really able to last forever.

Basing up on the current condition of the market on where there are lots of alt which are really having that good real use case and more better than bitcoin when it comes to its applications but

still the community do still mainly support the main or father of all crypto and as an investor its not really bad to have lots of considerations too.

Never think that much but i am usually if i heard people start to say there a bear trend, usually i morely holding my fiat or keep holding my bitcoin if i already late to sell it. Altcoin is only for mid or maybe short term trading that is why i am not much holding into altcoin. I think both as investment will be good and maybe one can help to recover the others, but for a note make sure altcoins that we hold is right coins and not from speculation only. It is better than keep swap bitcoin-altcoin vice versa every market moved.

If anyone want to become a millionaire of crypto market then hold both bitcoin and altcoins. Bitcoin is the king of the crypto currency coin. Because it is the first crypto currency coin. And altcoins are the alternative coins. There is a relation between the altcoin coins and bitcoin. Because when bitcoin price grows then altcoins grows. And when bitcoin price dumps altcoins prices dumps. I discuss about all the altcoins. But there are many other factors such as dominance that impacts on the price of bitcoin.

The price of altcoins depends on bitcoin, this is because almost all altcoins always make bitcoin a partner when trading, bitcoin is certainly better than altcoins but in my opinion for big profits we have to invest in altcoins even with small portions.

I didn’t have any BTC right now. The last time that I hold Bitcoin was on early December 2020 before that big pump commenced. I still regretted that day when I’ve sold my BTC for USDT. Now I am holding mostly ETH and some of the altcoins that I’m bullish until today. However, most of the coins and tokens that I have in my wallets are nothing but shitcoins lol.

Well it's still not too late to invest in Bitcoin again because we just had a dipped. You might regret it again when Bitcoin reached $100,000 someday. Although it's uncertain when, but the possibility is still there just like how we all dream of getting $50,000 each.

The point is that the opportunity is still wide open, Bitcoin/Altcoins is still a hope that promises profits in the long term, here a strong commitment and patience is really needed. Although we don't know for sure when it promises high profits, the popularity and role of Bitcoin/Altcoins itself are increasingly prominent in today's economic life, this has the potential to reach the future.
I think that sometimes what happens is the best, I am sure that if I had not sold BTC you would not have learned something, however if you have shitcoins, it is not bad, just take advantage of them, when you have a profit of x2, x3 you change it to BTC, or simply looking for another opportunity with another currency and so on, but the teaching you must take is unique, perhaps that is the way to help you see other types of investments in the crypto world, and thus quickly achieve BTC Getting to BTC is difficult, in fact I have never been able to have 1BTC, but I am sure that one day I will be able to have it or even more, but the way to do this you must discover it, I think that all this is a teaching.

We've once been on that road where the altcoins we hold could be the next Bitcoin. Apparently, it's not happening. None of the altcoins I have held for years since 2017 had actually climbed the ladder like Bitcoin in fact some of the teams disappeared already. The one that follows is ETH but its gap is just too far.

I'm not sure anymore if there will be a community that will really use the altcoin as intended by the team. It only feels like they are snatching satoshis from investors.  Nothing compares to BTC.

I hope that that season can come again, and you are right in 2017 there were so many projects that any one entered was won, in fact many alts had their own internal forum and it was increasingly exciting, updates were followed a lot and You could earn a lot by investing and working, of course currently things are different, I have seen that it is no longer the same trend, now it is different, what I have seen most that is being developed are some new tokens through NFT projects and those that are NFT games are much more promising, maybe that is where everything can come.

Some time maybe you can buy with shit coin with margin 50$ until $400 because with shit coin can raise almost 30x and never found with top altcoin, I know with risk but you have entry on the early and hit target above 10x sell half and wait for half with your shit coin pump. Not impossible for shit coin raise more than 30x but always entry on the early.
