As of this time, we can see that Bitcoin is still dominant when it comes to price movement. They quickly pump than the altcoins to be honest as they’re a popular gateway to be converted to fiat money. It’s great to hold BTC long term and some top altcoins in the market right now.

Altcoins like ethereum, binance and pancakes are pretty good but bitcoin is still the one I recommend the most

Almost every altcoin I currently hold or have recently held has gone down against bitcoin. Alts depend too much on bitcoin's price so diversifying into different cryptos isn't guaranteed to give you better returns. If you want to truly diversify then invest into stocks or real estate.

Stocks are dumping as well. But real estate would be good and today properties are really high in prices but profitable I saw someone sells his house for $450K, a few weeks later that same house is sold for $650K by another investor without renovating anything. Investors and banks are buying up houses.

But altcoins will be good if an investor can just pick the right one particularly the altcoins which provide earnings like the DEFI tokens.
the property is very good but not everyone can profit from the property business, many also lose because of their lack of experience and knowledge of the property business

the best thing is to do business on what you understand, if you only understand bitcoin then focus and develop your skills, as well as if you only understand stock or property

While I can whole-heartedly  agree that Bitcoin is the most trustworthy and reliable cryptocurrency which has proven itself countless times throughout "bans", regulations, and attempts to bring it down, I would still have to say: Dont put all your eggs in one basket. No matter how lovely that basket may seem.

Its just common sense.

But I do think that putting most of your eggs in Bitcoin seems better than trusting altcoins just as much.

I have been watching this market for a long time.

It seems that in the early part of a bull market, Bitcoin goes up faster than altcoins (ie Bitcoin dominance goes up.)  In the late part of a bull market, Bitcoin still goes up but altcoins go up even better (ie Bitcoin dominance goes down.)

In a bear market, altcoins fall faster than Bitcoin (ie Bitcoin dominance recovers somewhat but has to wait for the next bull market to go really high.)

So, it would seem the correct play is to buy altcoins at this point, and then convert them into Bitcoin (or sell) when you see the bull market ending?

Any thoughts?

For me, I just buy some bitcoins and Altcoins for long term holding. I count the conversion as stress and I don't think its safe to convert without even loosing some of either the bitcoin or Altcoins i bought.
So instead of converting my Altcoins to bitcoin during dump, i just will just leave the both and wait for long term return.

the property is very good but not everyone can profit from the property business, many also lose because of their lack of experience and knowledge of the property business

the best thing is to do business on what you understand, if you only understand bitcoin then focus and develop your skills, as well as if you only understand stock or property
on the other hand the business in property investment also takes a long time and must be patient with it.
because selling something like this requires expertise and a match between the seller and the buyer.
different from here, even though for time there are futures as well, but here we can freely sell and buy at any time with chart records and the TA being researched supports it.
indeed here also takes time for this and also needs skills but it will be different when you are in this path and the property sales route
Patience and experience is very important for all businesses and trading fields because without these two things you never know what will happen to you. Same rule apply in this bitcoin and altcoins because if you have no knowledge of crypto then surely you are going to lose your funds better keep with only bitcoin but if you want to jump into this as well as first have your all basic requirements then you can invest or trade because it's very important. Mostly peoples start in crypto with some research and TA analysis because it's very risky and need some serious intention before you jump into this field. Now on few exchanges we have demo accounts as well for better training of newbies before starting you can check this as well.

Altcoins are related to Bitcoin and follow its movements, so it is better for you to invest both, This is if you want a big profit, and you must buy in the good times and sell in the long term when you achieve a great profit. It is a mistake to invest one currency, you must diversify your wallet from Bitcoin, Ethereum and other valuable altcoins. My advice to you is to stay informed about market news and about the new cheap altcoins listed on the exchanges, buy cheap and sell high.
They arent correlated from time to time because bitcoin could move on its own and alts too but most of the time where trend is really been  dictated by BItcoin itself.
As an investor then its up to your choice and decisions whether you do jump or invest with purely in Bitcoin or would neither go with altcoins or going with both.
Its just really depending on your decisions which one of them as long you are financially capabled then you could do all sorts of things you do want.
Thing here is that you should know on what you are doing and not just jumping just because you had been hyped or fomo'd.

BitCoin and altcoin markets are highly interdependent. The BitCoin-altcoin price relationship is stronger in the short-run than in the long-run. Macro-financial developments determine virtual currency prices stronger in the short- than the long-run.

To be honest, I would select Bitcoin.

Comparatively more easier to turn into cash than altcoins since there is a relatively lower chance of straight-up doing a rug pull.
There are also altcoins that are easier to sell and turn into cash. But if the altcoins that we're talking about are those that don't have much reputation and not yet established.

Yeah, they can rug pull at any time.
'
Rug pull is something you could normally see into those altcoins which arent established or known but doesnt mean that you cant deal with those because you could actually make out profit if you do know on how to play
and this is what im doing but it isnt really that easy because this is really very risky move to make but well each trader/investor does have their own way but choosing whether bitcoin or altcoins then its your choice.
As long you could make out gains then that what matter the most as long on where you could make out profits then this is should be the priority but you could be really versatile.
Yeah, that's for sure for those altcoins and as well as NFT games.

If you know how to play then you should also know when to exit before they take your money. But I don't advise that, I advise people to invest only to legitimate projects that they're sure that their money will rotate and profit.

A project that's far from rug pulling. You can do this through research.

It is not just about being profitable, it is also about having a safe investment
No safe investment in crypto, all crypto coins have their own risk. Even Bitcoin, no one guarantees the price will always grow in the future. You must note that one of the big reasons why people come to crypto investment is about higher profitability. Well, I am not talking about others, just focus on myself. Because of that fact, I think altcoins deserve to try, allocating some funds for altcoins as well. Now, I assume the right time to buy some altcoins because of Bitcoin price is in a good shape. Besides holding Bitcoin, I constantly analyze and buy potential altcoins to increase in the near future. I bet you also did the same way.  Wink
Not only bitcoin should be my main goal, altcoins also have the same potential even when compared to what I have received so far from altcoins which turned out to have good increases after much analysis, so it cannot be denied that altcoins are vulnerable wasting by some parties but if we are right on a potential coin of course it will bring big profits.

In fact, a month before that, I had already looked at altcoins which were bigger than my allocation of funds that were bought for several altcoins, but in the end it had to be faster and not hold longer, when there is a profit, I prefer to sell it.

Buy alts when you see btc standing stable in sideways because that gives an opportunity for the whales to divert their money in alts and that is when casual traders like you and me can make money. The best part of altcoin trading is, they must be traded in USDT and not against btc because if an alt falls against btc and btc too falls in price, then you are at higher loss compared to what you will lose when you check the USDT price while buying that alt.

what you say is true, but I still think this is normal when I see the assets that I own are almost the opposite of bitcoin and are still experiencing a decline in the assets I own.
but I still think that when bitcoin goes down alts will follow bitcoin and will fall sharply, when bitcoin goes up, alts will not necessarily go up following bitcoin. because they have their own chart and it takes time to go up too. but i think it is temporary, sooner or later they will catch up

It's Bitcoin for me before any alt coins as bitcoin hold the keys to these altcoins reactions in the market. So I make it a hobby to always top-up my Bitcoin anytime I'm investing on any altcoin at all.

Currently my portfolio is 20% bitcoin and 80% altcoins, I invest a lot in cheap coins and today invest again around $100 to buy SHIB and happy because the SHIB trend continues to increase, I think for big profits we should invest altcoins because of the opportunity to get big profits can be obtained in altcoins.
With higher profitability promises comes higher risks to be taken by the investor. To say what is better (bitcoin or altcoins) will depend on the profile of each investor.

For a conservative investor bitcoin is the best option, because it's the safest investment you can expect from crypto currency universe, which has shown solid results if we take its history since the beginning.

For moderate investors I would say 60%-80% of the portfolio in bitcoin and the rest in altcoins would be suitable.

And for agressive investors I think your settings look an interesting option with 80% of the portfolio in altcoins. But I think it's a really risky choice. A high speculative one.

Well even having 100% of the portfolio in altcoins is fine by me, like we should wise to choose altcoins which have a good prospect or even already have a good economic. I prefer altcoins which have good sustainability such BNB and ETH for long term of course, having SHIB or DOGE wouldn't in my recommendation since it's very volatile.

With bitcoin there is a great opportunity to make a profit from altcoin SHIB, the price of more altcoin is increasing the trend of doge coins has increased a lot the right time to invest with a small amount of capital. Defi projects are trying to do well in the market.
