I think everybody knows that price of BTC influate on Altcoins price. You can see it if you open coinmarketcap for example.
I haven't been able to understand the rationale behind the price effect of bitcoin on other cryptocurrencies. But I believe one of the reasons is that since the altcoins trade against Bitcoin, every price movement of Bitcoin will indirectly affect altcoins movement too.
I also do not understand what the effects of the effects of the bitcoin price on altcoin are because I know altcoin follows the rising prices of bitcoin either up or down, so I think the effects of bitcoin will affect the market price of the crypto even though not all coins will follow the development of bitcoin. 
This year the whole market follows Bitcoin price. There're only few coins that continue to be stable or grow even when BTC falls. When BTC domination grows then most of altcoins fall while BTC continues to grow.

the value of altcoin to bitcoin is the same. when the bitcoin price against U $ D rises, the altcoin price against BTC will go up. but if looking at the value of USD. then it gets bigger. because the price increase becomes 2x. the price goes up from BTC and USD.
