In bitcoin it is good to keep your savings for a long time. On altcoins the easiest way is to earn money. This is what makes crypto-currencies so interesting.

It is about risk management. Bitcoin moves relatively slow compared to altcoins. You can lose or make money out of altcoins faster than bitcoin. I suggest creating a balanced portfolio. %30 in alts %40 in btc and %30 in fiat. So you can benefit from crashes.
I agree with this conclusion! Since Altcoins can do X10, but then just lose everything. Therefore, the portfolio must be balanced! I like your distribution. I think this is a good portfolio balance scheme.

The next bitcoin fork is in few years from now.  We all know bitcoin fork reduces the supply and increase demand in the market.  I think is more valuable than any altcoin and I will personally not exchange my bitcoin with altcoin!

These two coins are coins that have many benefits, so I support both. Every bitcoin movement and speed always affects the altcoin, so both are inseparable and bitcoin remains the core of the crypto currency.

I myself of course will support both. because with have both, then we will more often benefit when trading. And as a true trader then we are required to have both.
I think it is true, as a trader or being an investor, we should be able to have both, but in investing in altcoins, we must really be able to choose altcoins that are really good, and the altcoins must have hope to grow in the future. , so we don't just buy altcoins if we want to make a big profit.
Would go for altcoin because in the altcoin you can gather a lot of profits from it buy holding it a little bit more and maybe you can sell if you already feel it but the choice is yours

Hello,

As we all awaiting the outcome of the Hardfork, many investors are presently on BTC.

What altcoin will you trade against BTC after fork 🍴?

There's a lot of choice that we can trade with bitcoin after the fork but I'm sticking to my plans, ETH, RIPPLE and Monero for now and while I keep on looking for some other good coins for long term holding.

These are also on my list, NEO, DASH, IOTA. Actually there's a lot of it but I choose to have more quantity of each coin rather than having a lot of coins that has a small number of holding.

I'm also keeping an eye to bitcoin cash as there's a lot of support from exchanges and web wallets. Also I'm tuning in with Segwit2x and let's see if this will be a good contender.

Most of this altcoins were registered on CMC has great potential and market capitalisation.

If I choose Altcoins it depends on the Altcoins event or not.
If the Altcoins have events for the future, such as AMA, Airdrop, SWAP etc., then I will buy the Altcoins.

I have observed that Both Bitcoin and the Altcoins tend to move in the same direction at the same time the only differences are that the moves of the altcoins tend to be much larger than those of Bitcoin. So when the market is dropping you should either be in Bitcoin if it is held in your own wallet or if on an exchange even switch to FIAT or USDT. In a rising market it is better to be in altcoins as the gain will be much greater.

I think we can't compare these two currencies because Bitcoin is the strongest and high rated coin in history of crypto.

Far not always on altcoins it turns out to earn more than on bitcoin. It often happens that you lose more than you earn, especially from inexperience. It seems to me that there is no competition between Bitcoin and the altcoins. They can be used for different purposes within the same cryptocurrency ecosystem. For example, Bitcoin is the most reliable cryptocurrency among all. It can be used as an analog of gold. So do not try to use it to buy a cup of coffee. But altcoins can be used as a fast means of payment for microtransactions. True, their number is too large and all of them can't be introduced into the real sector of the economy, so only the best will remain!

Get one BitCoin (BTC), wait for the bulls. When the BTC bulls run, all the ALTs will drop, then buy some fav ALTs you think will run after BTC finishes its head start -- thereby diversifying your portfolio. With that said, long term wise aka HODL it is overall best to go with BTC as it is slow but steady in its overall rise in price. Plus, BTC is the only proven resilient cryptocurrency to date no other has yet to truly prove itself from all attacks

You probably shouldn't be 100% into a single coin. Bitcoin is great, but you probably want to diversify into some other coins as well to be safe. We don't know the future.

Find an allocation that represents your risk tolerance and understanding of cryptos. I know Bitcoin inside and out, so I allocate my position accordingly. I'm about 80% in BTC, 10% ETH, 5% LTC and the rest in various altcoins. I'm also not holding a fortune. I put in less than $20 per month on average over the last 2 years, so I'm not crypto-wealthy, or even crypto-middleclass. I'm crypto-poor!

But I do understand how to allocate positions related to risk. I also invest in more traditional accounts because I see them as a more safe approach

All altcoins, especially the centralized ones like Bcash, are essentially worthless in that Bitcoin already (or soon will) performs the function they were designed to do.

When the seas get choppy, everybody runs back to the king for safety.

Bitcoin. There is no substitute.

I think most alts that claim or aim to replace bitcoin are doomed to fail. I would make an exception for privacy coins like monero or zcash that do have a real reason to exist, but arguably only until bitcoin gains greater anonymity. All those zero fees coins and all the forks, ignore them.

I consider every option portage one day is the best chance to put resources into altcoin in light of the fact that now the estimation of bitcoin is high prompting altcoin extremely base and it is an open door for representatives to purchase coin at modest cost after The substance of bitcoin altcoin will increment massively numerous individuals will procure words from it and bitcoin now who should offer what should offer the cost of bitcoin through hard passage will be emphatically reduced.
i don;t understand why many people compare this two. we know that the bitcoin is more valuable than the alternative coin. we know that the bitcoin is the main foundation of this cryptocurrency industry and the alternative coin are just an other coin that help in the bitcoin. but also, the alternative coin are important to help the bitcoin to be not shortage.
