It seems to me not correct to oppose these two coins, because they carry in themselves different technologies directed to different spheres!
It seems to me that these coins are still the strongest coins in the crypto currency market. I believe that both coins can make a good profit.
bitcoin has not lost its status, but the etherium in my opinion has slightly changed its position due to too much decline in price
BTC is much more independent. ETH had been always drives by projects, which are built on top of Ethereum blockchain. If the ICOs will find cheaper tool, ETH coudl fall evern lower. So my voice is for BTC.

Bitcoin has a whole army of people, who will hodl it, while ETH investors are not so stable. In the world, where people constantly search for the opportunities to invest, only BTC is able to remain stable enough. ETH have no chaces in long term run.
I choose bitcoin. This cryptocurrency more than once proved the right for existence in the world. It is on the first place and it is the best indicator for all people

If you would ask me the same question severa month ago, I will bet on ETH, but today it loses positions even to XRP, so I could not consider it as real BTC competitor right now. Time will show us, who will be the winner.
You should not compare these two coins. Bitcoin is the most famous crypto currency in the world. Bitcoin is digital gold. Ethereum is a platform for creating projects. I think that you need to have two of these coins.
I don't understand what my thoughts should be. Bitcoin is still the best coin on the cryptocurrency market and I do not think that in the next 5 years there will be a coin that can surpass Bitcoin.

Very hard question because both of them are top coins and approximately everyone knows about them. But anyway I believe that Ethereum has to have a better future, but this will happen just in case that Ethereum will not stop to develop its technology
For me both has a different thoughts or role in market, BTC is leader of market, BTC is the best among all coins. ETH is also a significant coin in his own way. I think BTC and ETH both are good platform to invest.

Personally, my thoughts are that Ethereum is much stronger and more promising than bitcoin. Because the mono most promising companies carry out development on this network.

Bitcoin is good for present time and Ethereum is good for long term i think that people are investing more in bitcoin in these days because the price is showing a rise and if we look at the Ethereum history then it is experiencing a high growth in the past and potential to grow more in recent days.

what I think is both digital currencies that have very good quality and prices. both have potential and have good sales value. even many investors are investing their money into bitcoin and etherum. for me, the two coins are much interested.

To compare Bitcoin with ETH, there are too many things to discuss. Bitcoin is more expensive and earns more market capitalization than ETH. Bitcoin is the first coinmarketcap to be introduced before the ETH. Trading on Bitcoin is slower than ETH but it is the currency when long-term investment value can be more invaluable than ETH. And this time choosing Bitcoin investment is the most potential than ETH. 
They are both good as an investment, but I personally prefer ETH more than BTC. ETH has more use, including that you always can trade using it or participate in ICOs with it. ETH markets are on all exchanges along with BTC and USDT pairs.
But despite that, BTC is "our king" and probably it is worth considering to buy both of them for hold. And taking into account current market condition, when I say "for hold", the "hold" will be rather long term than short term
