At the present time, BTC is the king of this market. For ETH can be equal to BTC, it needs more time. However, new entrants to this market prefer to invest in ETH because transaction fees are lower than the BTC.
I believe that today there is no altcoin that could compete with bitcoin and surpass it.

Both are very good investment and also promising. Investing in any will bring profit because thy are potential coin but personally, I think bitcoin is the best crypto as it is the oldest and most dominated coin in crypto. 
I think that now Bitcoin is better for investors than Ethereum. The ether falls in price in relation to Bitcoin. It is not known when this trend will change.

It is useless to comapre the two different coins. They are both good you cannot determine technically which is the best and which is the second best. But if I will to choose between the two, I want ETH than bitcoin. I love how ETH perform in this crypto, fast transaction and good projects is the best thing on this.
I will don't compare Bitcoin and ETH. both are great investment. you can invest in and earn be lot of money. both are gives lot of opportunities to invest and make a trade. Bitcoin is the great investment for long term. eth is most contract platform. most of the projects based eth. you can invest here. it's is great short time investment. you can use more opportunities. I think, both are great.
With the fact that eth has been almost stagnant and hovering around $500 to $300 in past weeks, I still see the greatness in Ethereum, although investing in bitcoin is also great, even the fact that both currencies are different, I still see some bullishness in future.
I think that comparing these coins is not quite correct. These coins are different from each other. But they're both promising. At the moment I have both bitcoin and Ethereum. And I think they're good, each in its own way.
If we speak about price and future price on market - i really doubt that Ethereum can be a competitor for Bitcoin. But if we look on coin itself, ETH's technology is much better and has a great future.
True, Ethereum is a good alternative coin, but it can't compete with bitcoin in terms of price yet

Bitcoin Vs ETH in my thought, I think Bitcoin and Ethereum are good and they are strong coins and they have their own advantages. Ethereum platform is more advance to compare to Bitcoin, It is unique and ability to create smart contracts, but Bitcoin has been in existence before ethereum and has been profitable enough.If you invest any of these coins you will not lose rather you will make your profits.
In my humble opinion, both of them are really great. I would like to tell that stop comparing these to wonderful coins/tokens because they have a good quality and have potential to recover so easily from downfall. They are the future coins of the next generation. They are good enough.
I will consider Ethereum as the great competitor in Bitcoin as this coin doing fine in terms of price value.But still Bitcoin is the king of crypto.

What is wrong in comparing bitcoin and ethereum? You can compare all of the cryptocurrencies if you want to so there is no reason for complaining about comparison between bitcoin and ethereum. Bitcoin and ethereum are both good cryptocurrency but i can say that bitcoin is still better even though it doesn't have smart contract feature because bitcoin got a lower amount of supply so the price of bitcoin will pump faster than ethereum.
Well for me , either of these two is strong. Bitcoin and Ethereum has different platform , bitcoin was made for new currency feature while ethereum is for development platform. BTC was the 1st coin ever made that is why it gained popularity and widely use already by us. It is used for payment purposes because transactions are made with no middle men ,less hustle and untraceable. While ethereum was second rank to bitcoin it is used to run an application and even monitized work and many ico projects use its platform because its easy for them to make smart contract by eth platform. The only disadvantage i see on Ethreum is how it can survive when its own developer abandoned it, im sure many investors will scuffle.

I would choose both, hope Bitcoin is going to be a "new cash" and will be acceptable world wide, while Ethereum is going to be the most popular platform for smart contracts.

I don't think Ethereum will be worth more bitcoin but I still keep my Deposit in Ethereum.
To choose between Btc and Eth, it is a very hard task. Both of them have strong probability and people want them for their qualities. Btc is the father of all crypto currencies out there and Eth is the rising star. Btc has huge basically top market cap and Eth is gaining day by day. first one is renowned as bold, second one is favorite for fast transaction. Both of them are capable to blast.
