Investing in any will bring profit because thy are potential coin but personally, I think bitcoin is the best crypto as it is the oldest and most dominated coin in crypto.in line with your opinion it would be better to choose both of them to invest for a long time.

both of them BTC and ETH are good for investment i remember february 2016 when BTC price is 700$ and ETH price 182$ after 2 years the same crypto price BTC is 19000$ and ETH is 1400$ in february 2018 so i advise to work on them or invest in and hold them in order to sell by higher price
