Too much work for too little pay. Or more hassle than it's worth. I set a minimum so I don't ignore anyone who is willing to pay that minimum. I also don't get too many.

The others got tired because they are just asking for tips and they didn't get enough. They were treating escrow as if you are a food server and rely on tips to make it worthwhile; food servers don't like tips below 15% in some countries, us bitcoin (and altcoin) escrows get 1% ~ 2% or less. Some continue to offer their services for altruistic reasons.

So with confusion over OGNasty and MinerJones and a bunch of other peoples reputability recently, who is the go-to for escrow right now? I'm assuming any staff such as yourself would offer a trustworthy escrow service to someone if they asked and would be willing to tip nicely?

I know this is an old thread but what caused some of these escrows to close?  If anyone can point me to the reasons and causes I would like to learn as I do plan on launching my own escrow service but for small businesses not just with bitcoin community.  You learn more from the failures than the successes. Smiley

Almost all of them closes their service because they don't have enough time! A few were removed/closed after escrow scammed.

Because sometimes gift cards are bought from stolen/hacked visa card and it can be potentially unusable.

True, 1 of my cards comes from with an amazon receipt - the other I can vouch for /guarantee.
I'm trying to find a reliable trusted escrow so buyer knows it is safe.
There must be some reason AGC is used /traded.

Every seller says they are selling legit items. No offence.

For example we can take amazon gift cards.

Don't understand this comment.
  -snip-

You(seller) can redeem gift card before buyer uses and accuse buyer/escrow or buyer can redeem gift card and says you(seller) or escrow redeemed it. There would be no way for seller to prove he hasn't used (in former case) or for you to prove you haven't redeemed it (in second case). Essentially, even if escrow is used, it's very risky for all parties including escrow. Why escrow? Because once above mentioned happens, whom should escrow send bitcoins to? Buyer or seller? They would be called a "bad" escrow regardless of whom they sent bitcoins to! Who would want to risk their or services' hard-earned reputation for a meager amount(fee)?

I'm open to any trade, as long as someone pays the minimum I've stated. It just doesn't make sense if the escrow fee is a large portion (or larger) than your trade.

Yeah as you said your 0.03 min is below my trade amount Sad

Well...I'll be patient Smiley
Anyone out there willing to help?

Looking for someone to Escrow on AGC e-gift card for btc at a rate of 20%
I’m selling $38 of AGC & want $30 btc (0.011)
Seems many Escrows don’t do gift cards & not open to 0.01 trades

Why do you think many escrows don't do gift cards?

OP what about to include CET - Crypto Escrow Team in your list? Team looks like this: Blazed, minerjones, Lauda. Great team for very serious job.

Warning: Trade with extreme caution!
Huh?

You'd have to contact Lutpin and ask him why he left you negative trust.

The answer is that he believes you are an, "Alt account of kevinjulio, jonhotman, et al."

I assume you'd have to prove this is untrue to Lutpin's satisfaction in order for him to remove it.

Thanks guys.
Formerly this account belongs to kevin julio, but now who trades this account is not kevin julio,
This is my friend kevin julio.

Well, now that the account is admittedly sold or transferred, that red mark is now harder to remove (and might attract more.) You might as well create a new account and work your way up.

Nice clean updated list.
Actually, this list haven't been updated since January,30,2016 (so it's quite outdated). Here's another list that is a bit updated but lacks few other escrow providers: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-bitcointalks-escrow-providers-ranking-blacklist-avoid-scam-276897

Few others that are missing from the lists:

1. shorena - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/shorena-181801
2. Lauda - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/lauda-101872
3. Lutpin - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/lutpin-520313
4. zazarb - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/zazarb-369212

Take note: There might be more escrows out there (that I haven't found)...

I haven't come across that link before and it was last updated on the 23rd of April this year which is very recent.  Thanks for posting.

There does seem to be a small increase in users not using an escrow and I'm all for having a larger variety of trusted escrows to spread the field out more evenly but is it really that hard to find an available escrow right now for new members?

damn WTF tried to init esrow trade but there no one escrow from the list available or active from month or even year to week Undecided

Bitcointalk Escrows - Trade Safely! bitcointalk.org
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/escrow-list-108716

maybe OP post and update some foreign escrows that apply their quality/cost Huh

Seeing this I've opened my own service. Most of the older users are too busy or do not escrow anymore. More trusted users should step forward and offer their service for others.

Hmmm youve been quite inactive this year and decide today to pop on and make 20 posts+. Use caution guys
