@Ratimov’s and @Skarais’ threads are intended for people to self-postulate or postulate others (@Skarais accepts this it seems) to receive merits for some of their posts or history of posting.
@DdmrDdmr, let me explain a bit about the purpose of my thread which is on the Local Board.

[HELP]Bantuan untuk menaikkan Rank (Newbie s.d Hero) V.2 [UPDATE] aims to help any users (especially Indonesian local board users) who are ranked below Legendary to reach their rankings by submitting a link to their best post in the thread if they feel the post is being ignored by a merit source or is not getting enough merit. The purpose of the thread is almost the same as the thread [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source, it's just that the contributors in my thread can review posts sent by participants with the aim of improving the quality of the participants themselves in the future. I don't allow users to submit applications for other users' posts in the thread, this is done to raise awareness of the users themselves to contribute to the Local Council and participate in the threads themselves. The meaning participants can only submit their own posts for review by contributors.

@DdmrDdmr, What I can understand from Roman's question is, what category of posts will you submit merit and put on the list or how do you determine the quality of a post to send merit. I think that's the real question if I don't misunderstand.
thanks you "suhu" for helping clarify what I mean.

I’m not sure I fully understand your question, so my answer may not be exactly what you asked for:

@Ratimov’s and @Skarais’ threads are intended for people to self-postulate or postulate others (@Skarais accepts this it seems) to receive merits for some of their posts or history of posting.
I don’t have any such thread, nor intend to, as I favour meriting what I see when browsing the forum, and would rather not have to deal with explicit petitions to review post nor posting history by postulants on a thread.

The Merit Dashboard thread is different altogether. It’s intent is to inform on the weekly updates I do to the data on the BitcoinTalk Merit Dashboard itself, which provides views on global merit distribution as views on individual or collective merit data. It is not intended to help people receive merits, but rather to see where they are going.

On the other hand, the Bitcointalk Ranking-up pipeline- Those close to their next rank (lacking Merits)  thread does have the intention of helping those near to their next rank (in terms of Merits, with disregards to Activity). At times, I use the list and may merit some posts from someone’s history, but it is open to anyone for that purpose. Again, it’s not a postulant thread, but rather a Merit number vigilante for anyone to attend to if they will.

The distribution of merit is indeed the right of individuals to see whether a post is good or not, but I want to know how the post category makes DdmrDdmr share the merit so that they are included in the list, even in the profile put "merit dashboard".
This is done like Sir Retimov sharing it by asking for an application and checking it https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5275032, while like Sir. skarais asking for help from reviewers to share it and he also contributes by sending the best posts in local posts https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/helpbantuan-untuk-menaikkan-rank-newbie-sd-hero-v2-update-5253221, and there are others but this I'm curious about @DdmrDdmr.

Thanks for pointing those out. Both are now fixed:

- I’m pretty sure that the date filter on the first chart did work before, as I’ve used it every now and then. It is back to normal now.

- The second chart is now also fixed, and is related to a bug that happens every now and then on some of the charts, whereby I update the underlying imported data tables, and the chart "decides" to give the values a skip, be it for those not on the default filter, or for those that are displayed due to additional datapoints in the timeframe.

These are odd behaviours, and there are two or three I already manually fix every week before publishing due to this type of misbehaviour on Tableau (despite setting the property to always display values). I believe the solution is creating another object that is exactly the same, and replacing the current one with the new one, but I’ve never got down to it.

Note: Any post related variable (post count, merit/post) for the Russian board is unreliable, and has been so with more or less precision for most of 2021. The reason is that, due to the nature of how I obtain the post count (from the forum stats) heavy retrospectively deleted posts affect these variables for the current month. The Russian local board suffers frequent post/thread deletions for what I presume is a clean-up, and thus render these varibles unreliable.

edit:  Thinking of it, I do remember though is that last month only few months were selected by default and not all, like it usually is so maybe @DdmrDdmr changed something while trying to sort that out.

Pretty sure last month it worked like intended, as I didn't click so much to have the correct graph.

Found another one.

Merit per Post II (Chart)

This time not sure how it worked in the past:
Why the legend numbers are only for local boards? I added some other boards and the graph are muted.
(Ignore the missing values, this was on purpose)

Something broke in the "Local Board Post Count Evolution":
if I select dates on the upper right dropdown menu, the table gets updated, but the chart below retains all the values.

Example: selecting no date, the upper table is blank (correct) but the graph has all the dates.

Pretty sure over the last months it didn't work this way.

Nice!  It's early in the month, but so far I feel like I've been slacking on merit sending.  I'm going to have to step it up if I want to exhaust my sMerit supply by the beginning of October (and that's my goal).  Good to see there's increased merit distribution, though, because that probably means other merit sources are kicking ass.

In addition, there are 3 new Legendary and 1 new Hero Members this week.
Congrats to all of those members, especially the Legendaries because I know how sweet that feels to attain the final rank.  That still seems like a very low number of users making it to those two ranks, even if it is only a weekly report.  I think before the merit system it used to be much higher (though I don't have any data to back up my gut feeling).

<…>
The weekly increment or decrement is more of an anecdote on its own, and it’s better to take a look at the information with a broader timeframe such as month (see https://public.tableau.com/views/BitcointalkMeritDashboard/MeritSendersReceivers?:language=en-US&:display_count=n&:origin=viz_share_link, but bearing in mind that August is logically partial).

As to Merit Source allocation depletion, it is going to vary wildly from Merit Source to Merit Source, and even over time. Some manage to deplete their allocation rather quickly, whilst others may not by far. It’s not something constant, and it likely depends on many factors such as available time, sMerit allocation, awarding habits (average sMerits per TX), reading areas, personal considerations, novelties in content, and so forth.

Allocated sMerits do not carry over to the next month. For example, if a given Merit Source is allocates 500 sMerits per 30 days, but does not award any within that period, he’d still have 500 sMerits available on day 31 (not 1K). sMerits really do not come back on a given date per month, but rather in the same amount given out, but exactly 30 days later from the moment the Merit Source spends them.

We are glad to have visited your thread about the stats and are learning how to understand these stats. Happy to know that users are being rewarded with sMerits for their works as the past week has shown a decent rise (not bigger than the fall of 18,23% though, but better).

We would like to know if Merit sources utilise all the sMerits they are allocated for a month and share them in full to the deserving candidates during the whole month or those sMerits get carried over next month if remaining?

Fixed it. The filter wasn’t being applied to the chart. To test it, I’ve uploaded it comparing French to Spanish local board merits on the same chart. Closing-in on the gap somewhat (lead goes to the Italian local board).

Look at the image below. I could get the data for "Bitcoin Discussion" board.

You can also hold "CTRL" button to select multiple boards.

If you want to get the data for all boards, check "All" from the subsection menu, select any board from the menu on left side of the page. and after that Uncheck "All" from subsection menu.
Below is the data for all boards.
