The teaser should be up these days... So I guess I just teased the teaser Cheesy

You teased the teaser, so we were teased, but there's no teaser actually teasing us!

It's not a one-man video crew. Guess we now have one less excuse if we miss the mid-September launch  Grin

A gentle reminder: tomorrow is Sep, 15th, a.k.a. mid September.

How about NFT giveaways for watching episodes within a certain timeframe?  You could have some sort of QR code that is displayed during the video and leads to a link to receive a free NFT.  Each episode could have a new NFT and the link could stay active for 24 hours after the show goes live.  Just a wild idea I haven't seen anyone do yet.  It's a bit off Bitcoin since the NFTs would most likely be based on a chain with low fees like Polygon, but maybe such a thing is/could be a reality when lightning becomes more popular and we get a section to discuss it here. Smiley
Non fungible tokens or so called NFT are into much hype these days whether it's Bored Ape or cryptopunks they are being valued in million dollars and this trend has gone too high. But i am not sure about it on bitcointalk YouTube channel like are you taking about limited NFT or giveaway of how much people scan the qr code? What i mean is if 100 people scan the code then they all shall be eligible to have an NFT or certain limits could be put upon like 10 fixed and whosoever do it first will have it on board?

Contents related to trading and technical analysis should also be discussed, which is a good idea.
I don't agree, I don't think this channel should give any financial advice in general. Also, technical analysis in crypto is in my opinion mostly gambling (don't want to go off-topic, just putting it out here).

Indeed.  Just about every Youtube video about Bitcoin is focused on speculation.  There are more than enough people talking about this like it's some sort of get-rich-quick scheme.  It would not only be redundant and inaccurate, but also highly irresponsible, to produce more of the same.  We want this to stand out from the crowd and discuss what are arguably the more important (and more interesting) aspects.  Personally, I'd like to see as little trading talk as possible.

Absolutely, what extra could the BitcoinTalk channel offer on top of all the thousands
of click bait referral fishing nonsense already dominating Bitcoin content? I too wouldnt
be interested in trading content on the channel.

I can never understand how people dont ask the question if these TA Hosts are promoting
such successful results why do they need to make videos and post them on YT?

Important and interesting content will hopefully generate interest and promote the forum.

Exactly this was my concern like you just search for bitcoin on YouTube and you would come across such videos in abundance that have clickbait titles and zero advance knowledge due to which the viewer gets distracted and misunderstood the whole concept. They think btc as rich scheme and when the prices fluctuate they gets panic and sell off blaming the market. But bitcointalk official channel should be away from such crap and promote only true and real facts providing knowledge and creating awareness among mass.

Too bad there's no way to ignore channels on Youtube.
I usually found it funny how come people could be convinced by such thumbnails which shows 100% sign that they are fake like this one here :

These channels are going to make your millionaire within a month without doing anything but in actual their motive is fulfilled to have you view and get paid for it.The simple way of ignoring them is not to search for them on YouTube at all or click not interested in side menu of the video and you will see less of them. Here are certain options for you as well Block channels on YouTube

Hope the forum official channel stay above all of them and audience could get a real bitcoin experience without any shill promotions.

TA channels on Youtube are some of the most boring I've ever seen, and I do hope the bitcointalk channel doesn't engage in that sort of thing.  IMO it's way outside the scope of what the channel should be about, though at this point I'm not sure exactly what the scope of it is going to be.

You would see the clickbait thumbnail with cheeky smiles on their face and when you open up the video to have a look you would feel what the hell they are taking about
Yeah, no kidding--and I've expressed my concerns about the thumbnails specifically here, though I'm sure that thread has been buried under a mountain of Bitcoin Discussion dung.  And the shilling that goes on in some of the bitcoin-related Youtube channels is ridiculous.  It seems like everything on Youtube has come to revolve around sponsorship and money--no different than any mainstream TV station, right?  And I hate to say it, but Voskcoin's channel is the absolute worst of the worst, yet it keeps popping up every time I search for bitcoin videos.  Too bad there's no way to ignore channels on Youtube.

Oh, that's a great idea! I've noticed that a lot of crypto experts want to be on social media platforms like YouTube, which is full of nonsensical and sponsored content with a lot of risks. As a result, this bitcointalk youtube channel will be of great assistance to those newcomers looking to enter the crypto market, as well as having an impact on bitcointalk's user count.

I hope the channel starts from the beginning, how it started, the history of the forum, and how the forum affects the crypto community; it would be great content because some of us still don't know how things started and how things work here. Contents related to trading and technical analysis should also be discussed, which is a good idea.

it's clear that they just to want to gain more views whether they have knowledge or not in order to get paid.
[...]
But with setting up bitcointalk official YouTube channel the awareness could be spread out among masses without any sponsored videos of those youtubers promoting shitcoins and fake wallets and exchanges to scam people.
Yes, correct, that's what I'm looking forwards to in case there will be reviews on this channel!
We could also setup a tip jar for purchasing products to be honestly reviewed by knowledgeable people.. Smiley

But unfortunately, many products are reviewed in a dishonest way, in my opinion, through e.g. getting devices for free. Also many reviewers clearly have no idea what they are talking about, and often it's not an issue for them since their main income is through YouTube clicks.
You would see the clickbait thumbnail with cheeky smiles on their face and when you open up the video to have a look you would feel what the hell they are taking about (if you have some bitcoin related knowledge) but it's clear that they just to want to gain more views whether they have knowledge or not in order to get paid. But this creates some sort of misconceptions among the viewers and they give them wrong knowledge about bitcoin working and products and people get diverted to it.But with setting up bitcointalk official YouTube channel the awareness could be spread out among masses without any sponsored videos of those youtubers promoting shitcoins and fake wallets and exchanges to scam people.

I wonder, however, are you planning on changing both the logo and banner of the Twitter account when the teaser launches? 5 more days until mid-September  Roll Eyes

Regarding what we would like to see: I get it - everyone needs to pay their bills. But unfortunately, many products are reviewed in a dishonest way, in my opinion, through e.g. getting devices for free. Also many reviewers clearly have no idea what they are talking about, and often it's not an issue for them since their main income is through YouTube clicks. I feel like there's a place for non-sponsored, knowledge-backed reviews of different items in the Bitcoin space, be it 'node-in-a-box' offerings, hardware wallets, steel wallets, home miners, and other Bitcoin related objects that people might want to buy.

It's been some time now and sorry for the delay, but the winners of the graphics contest have been revealed: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57881515
@pugman they did win something!

Thank you everyone for your support, really means a lot!

I literally can't wait.
I am trying to "sponsor" the forum in every possible way, shilling interesting articles or content via Twitter or Telegram (with very poor results, sadly).
Hopefully, a Youtube Channel can help to make the forum to the younger audiences.

Maybe also a weekly interview with one forum member, although this ma be a bit more difficult for privacy reasons, users may not want to go through the stress of ensuring no one can trace their identity through such means.

Weekly awards for best posts, worst posts etc could also be cool.

Interviews will be a nice idea, and expression of the forum's interest should be a priority when such a channel is made available.
Awards will bring more creativity, as being the face of bitcointalk.org for having a reward for a well-articulated post of the week will be an honour to the winner.

Time flies fast, dropping by to bump the graphics contest thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalkshow-graphics-contest-5354384
Some of those designs look amazing! I think it's going to be hard to find a winner.

Alsp, here's the show's Twitter account: @BtcTalkShow
IMO it would be a good idea to tweet some of the contest entries and ideas from here.

Thank you everyone!
oooh! September is here, only a few more days of waiting wooheee!

I love the artwork of this particular dude: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalkshow-graphics-contest-5354384.msg57781141#msg57781141 {hope he wins it/some sort of monetary appreciation he seems to have put in quite some effort!}

How is the youtube work coming along, @cyrus? To say that I am quite excited would be an understatement. Let us know if the community can help you in anything else, like in terms:

Subtitles, editing intros(?), managing the channel etc etc. I am sure some people would love to volunteer.

Followed (@NastyMining) so I can stay more up to date with what's going on and make sure I don't miss that first episode.  Good luck!  I'm looking forward to seeing how this comes out and maybe becoming a subscriber of the YouTube channel to enjoy the content provided for hopefully years to come.  Smiley

Yes, this is my Twitter account from the time when it was very popular to have an account on that service - we had a lot of Twitter campaigns on the forum at the time - but they literally disappeared after the great crypto winter. Maybe it’s time to be a little more active again on that platform as well.
Being active on all social media platforms keep you awake ...

TBH BCT keeps me fully occupied, obviously I have Twitter and I go there for about 5 minutes
per day but not to post.

Being active on all platforms will definitely reduce your sleep time, Youtube, Twitter,
Facebook, Instagram, Forums and the countless other social media platforms.

I like the idea of following other people whom I recognise from BCT....like Lucius
