So they take PayPal now

But not on the s9....

Please note:
Bitmain is currently testing payments with Paypal. If you are using PayPal to pay for your order, please note the following before proceeding:
1.We only support Paypal to Paypal payments. You have to register with Paypal to be able to use this feature.
2.You can pay for only one order using PayPal. You can NOT pay for a second order using PayPal until Bitmain decides to expand the use of Paypal
3.The order can only contain 1 unit of the each product type. For example:
The order CAN have 3 items in total: 1 AntRouter R1, 1 Antminer S7 and 1 PSU.
The order can NOT have more than 1 AntRouter R1 or Antminer S7 or 1 PSU.

'The right to privacy matters'
I searched but there are sooo many pages
What are the temp limits ?

Based on bitmain installation guide:
Chip max temp 115
Board max temp 80

So:
The board  max of 80  means shoot for under 75
The chip max of 115 means shoot for under 105

Bitcoin Talks Bullshit Walks
Yes please do get the picture:).  Be interested to see if it's the same board you sent in. Should be easy enough to tell for as shitty as these seem to be put together. Ie the heat sinks look like a kid put them on and if it's the case of human putting them on they will all be different. Please get the pic

BR

Edit it should be mandatory to open and inspect the miner prior to use. If the heat sinks aren't aligned properly you will have overheating but only on a few chips.  Those chips burn up and bitmain Doesn't have to honor warranty.  What a shit!

Dear customer,

Your hash board was damaged physically before we received it. It may happened in transit.
If you need the picture of the hash board, I can send it to you.

Yours respectfully,
Quentin

Make sure I understand this correctly...

Is Bitmain the one who sent this message to you today regarding a board you sent to them?

If so, what good is a picture going to do for you?

He should get the picture.

Evil beware: We have waffles!
I just got my new 2xS9 batch 10
My Chip temps lay around 90-95 degress, could this be too high or is this normal ?
What would be the best zone ?

Thanks so much !
Perfectly normal. Search this thread for info as to what temp limits are.

Anyone here read Chinese? If so, are those hand written symbols on Phil's bad board readable?

In particular it would be interesting to know the meaning of the symbol that looks like a 4 with a line through it.

its "4" + a line, can't think of any Chinese word like this, the closest is 升/ 川/ 山。。。。。

there some marking on the little white sticker, but can' see clearly

looks to me like they simply crossed it out see full size

https://i.imgur.com/w06pfQc.jpg

Warm and fuzzy thought it may be a reject for 600m  and dropped to 550m

zoom in looks like someone rub water over the sticker Roll Eyes

What the hell does it mean ?
Damage Causes    PIN is lost in circuits board

I have pictures taken before shipment.
Do not see anything that would be missing.

On the first picture some of the Pins to the 18 way data connector look poorly soldered, could that be it?

Rich

"Common rogue from Russia with a bare ass."

Direct dc is the current default supply in the industrial sector.(in india)

Ac is the current default in residential .(in india)

Also psu /ups and other equipment provide the conversion needed .

But a battery and solar power will cost more to setup and maintain than a just normal psu.

It's an interesting subject, but probably worth its own thread. (Hint: we're off topic here).  Wink
If there are examples of "home grown" DC setups running a miner, via topped up batteries? without current inversion, I'd be grateful if anyone could link to them.

don't piss me off or else you will see the tigress
Risking a smack, Bitmain's spec for the APW3-12-1600 PSU specifies output at

DC Voltage
12V
Rated Current
133A
Rated Power
1600W

If there is a DC supply capable of providing that, why can someone not just go DC/DC direct connection?
i.e. battery/solar power without the conversion to AC and back again to DC thru a PSU?
Just asking...

I thought this was a S9 thread

indeed it is just a power consumption discussion going on how much a s9 consumes a day.
