Any one get a batch 2 shipping notice?
UPS says my b3 will arrive on Monday the 20th.

For quite a while now Bitmain has been pretty good about starting actual ship dates ahead (slightly) of as-advertised. How very odd that they are not with the b2's  Huh Different sub contractors for assembly?
Batch 2 begins shipment on June 20th, Batch 3 is immediate.
and so again the question remains: What got screwed up in scheduling to result is this? Ya'd think that building of batch3's would have started *after* the B2's were already in-progress ahead of them...
Nothing, batch 3 was more expensive, a premium was charged for an earlier ship date, the most likely cause was manufacturing was complete on a production run and they had more to sell. Batch 2 said Will ship by June 20th and that is when they will ship it, by June 20th.

Evil beware: We have waffles!
the s9 does not work with M's Miner Monitor either. Worse is that the author ceased dev on it late last year. 2x Sad

Did you try setting it to S5 settings?  This worked for my S7... Only issue is I just can't see the 3rd board's ASIC X/O status.....
Was the 1st thing I tried. No go. zilch.
In cryptoGlance, when I 1st enter the edit rig info page it says it can't find it. That may be part of the lack of detailed information. But - it actually does and lets you set alarm points and save them.

Thanks -- d@mn it's for iPhone

there is also an Android called "CKpool Stats" - not as nice as the iPhone version but functional, alerts when block arrives etc.
Might try that. For now I'm playing with cryptoGlance http://cryptoglance.info
Looks pretty slick and also has a Android app for remote access/monitoring of miners located on a 'home' server(s?).

The s9 does not report all of the usual info such as individual fan speeds not temps per-board to it BUT does relay the most important info eg, hash rate HW errors aggregate temp, pool info, etc.

So far my 1 complaint is that at least on my home PC -- tied to a very nice Samsung 55" UHD TV -- the programs fonts are HUGE. But - that said, once it is running in the bg you can also access it via browser where you have much better control over displayed size.

My s9 B1 is Ant66 at the bottom, the number in green is my total hash rate at home.

Hey Bitmain...quit being so silent. You have good clients with shit gear. Wassup with that?

Also, will you be removing these bugs in the next batch?

When will the next batch come out?

Yep.  Just switched and loaded the app this afternoon.  Not quite sure what the bar color code is suppose to mean between my 3 workers, since all three are colored the same.

@clgrissom  ---  That app is cool .,, What is it? Where can I get it?

PSU = Bitmain AP1600

It only works on the Kano pool...

Starts the same old story, such as the S5 +
One of my  today arrived  S9 blade does not work in a couple of hours anymore. Low speed. After reboot only 2 blades. The red light is on, on all 3 blades. Power restart did not help . I Replaced the PSU. Did not help . PSU is now  Bitmains 1600W, was before IMB 2000W

Mine for a Bit
Buddy, Slush's has the BEST dashboard, but CKPool has the BEST profits.

Can we have a non-emotional, fact based, discussion about that?  I am open to switching.

Slush is running around 62PH, it has a 2% fee and using a scoring system that seems fair (rewards consistent participation).  Transaction fees are shared.

CKPool is running around 36PH, has a 0.9% fee and uses PPLNSG payouts.  Transaction fees are also shared.

Seems to me, for someone that is running for months, PPLNSG and Slushes scoring system are similar in effect, both avoid block hoppers (are those still a problem?).

Variance based on pool size is not a big deal for either:  both are large enough that a daily payout is reasonable (my personal threshold).

Seems Slush wouldn't make for a very good backup pool, since short term access results in a lower score.  Seems to me that CKPool may be ok for that, although the payouts would be delayed by a day or so.

Bottom line, the fees are the major difference?

BTW - I have CKPool as one of my backup pools as of last night, but all three of my miners are showing the pool as dead.  I'm using a named account.  The doc indicates the worker name will be auto-generated upon first contact, yet I'll never have a first contact if the pool doesn't show up as alive...

Slush is bad if you have a blackout  you lose your work.  I would not use them for this one reason. Forget any other reason then this one.

also along the same lines if you do a big rental  on nicehash and the rental drops off you lose your work.

I don't mine anywhere that loses my work  in under 12 hours.  To me the 5n feature of kano is a big reason I mine with them.

I can understand wanting credit for every second participating in the pool, however, the Slush method isn't necessarily unfair.

It's true that you lose all your work on power down for the next block found.  But on the flip side of that coin you get full credit for the next block found on power up.  Granted, you lose work faster than you gain it, but not so much so that these two attributes of the scoring system don't nearly cancel each other out.

To boot, if you get back online before the next block is solved (in the pool) there is 0 impact to the credit towards that block.  So Slush favors power ons as well as intermittent power downs between blocks to balance out for losing credit on power downs where a block is solved.

I see nothing *bad* about that.  It's just different.

Thank you  I see something in your info that I can use.

There is a site that measures pool statistics:  http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/?view=flipcard
Goto the third Card that says Pools.

Of course there is a method that I also use is put a 1 miner there and compare with 1 miner in another pool to see the profitability.  That Dashoboard of Slush's is cool, but the bottom line is what counts!

There was that whole thing where Kano had talked to someone who had an S9 before they were technically released and it was sending an extraneous command at connection that was causing it not to work on the Kano pool.  I don't know if you could see it in the logs at startup or not.  But it seems within the realm of possibility that if this one did not have the firmware updated before being shipped it may be configured to use that extraneous command at connection which would prevent it from working on Kano CKpool.  In that case then theoretically speaking, a firmware update should fix it.  However based on the intermittent bricking reports from S7 firmware updates I think I would be certain that was the issue before going down that road.

Thanks.  Alas my S9 unit was shipped with the June 8th firmware, and I'm seeing the same issue on my S7s.  I've asked for help on the #ckpool IRC channel, but so far, no response.

To the previous responder:  I actually do know how to spell my username, and the image shows that as being consistent with my usage on Slush.  As mentioned, the website accepts that spelling as me.

Then that suggests an intentional block on the pool side for some reason.  Message him on here or post in the pool thread.

Love to try CKPool, but unable to connect for some reason.  Any suggestions?

Have you tried any of the other ports?  Which country are you in?  There are some nodes for other countries as well...
