I think both can be profitable. I chose bounty hunters because I can get free tokens / coins. the results can be for trading on the exchange.
All depends on your skill. For now find a bounty that a good quality more difficult because of the increasing of ICO that appears and the market conditions are bad. If you have enough money and good skill in trading you can try trading but for which no enough money could try to become a bounty hunter.You must be more patient and clever to choose the project quality. In time the collection of money from bounty we can learn trading techniques.

My experience saying, trading is most beneficial than bounty campaign. Its always better for a good money maker. If you want to trading, then collect money and analysis about trading. Gather experience about trading and start trade.
If you have no money for trade, then work to bounty campaign.

I can not compare, but I can voice my choice - bounty campaign. I have little experience in the participation of the bounty and I can say that this can be used as an additional income.
What do you want to reach? Bounties are more familiar with a long term investment and you do not need any funds to participate in them. Just do a bounty, get your reward and wait. Trading has more risks and it also need a capital to start.

Both have no comparison as bounty requires a basic knowledge to start with your time but trading requires a lot of skills and funds to start with. Bounty has no risk but in trading, one bad entry can wipe out your huge funds in volatile conditions.
Well if we have time to doing that two and you can control of it maybe must choose that two.

Both are avenues that you can raise funds in the crypto community but i think day trading is more lucrative than helping in bounty campaigns but if you don't have the money to trade i suggest you participate in bounty campaigns to increase your funds.

I don't like to trade my investments when I know that I don't have enough knowledge about trading that's why I choose to participate bounty campaigns. To learn about Cryptos to make more knowledge about it and I think I will start trading if I know I can do it with no hesitations.

Doing bounty requires no money but will requires a great deal of time and patience. while doing trading requires of course money to invest with but needs a set of trading skills in order to profit it. 
You can not compare the bounty of the campaign and trading on the stock exchange. This is a completely different job. For the bounty you need free time, for trading you need investments.
I made money on a bounty campaign and put it into trading. Now I continue to participate in the bounty campaigns and take part in the trade.

Bounty and trade are two great things, you can first start participating in a bounty and then start trading after learning of course.
