We saw a typical Canelo Alvarez last night, a slow starter. His granite chin gave him the advantage as he couldn't topple down on the early rounds while he is building momentum going into the championship rounds.

If he decided to stay in the Super Middleweight division, IMO there's not enough competition that poses a threat to the belts in the next few years and a trilogy with Golovkin may be the next option for team Canelo.

You could really say that Plant is really something strong on just looking with the physique but Canelo wasnt been intimidated with that form.
He wont really be reaching out this popularity and fame if he wasnt really that good.

No doubt about that Iron chin and power punches which had been known or simply his signature.Canelo is just too strong
and that form shouldnt fool you.

I doubt on stepping up on division but who knows right?

Canelo is probably the best boxer right now, and since he is still at his prime, he needs to take the challenge by moving up in weight. He can definitely have more fights and more money, so let's be optimistic with our speculation that it will come to reality, right now, the man deserved a rest..

I also don't see that possibilities, it's much better to him to keep fighting and defending his title on his weight,

No need to step up and make yourself uncomfortable, for sure their are many challengers that will ask to fight him and try to take his thrown.

Plant also has some big shots on Canelo but Canelo is just too strong that he didn't feel the power of Plant. I agree, he is like Thanos in boxing who can talk punches and will not get hurt, instead will only be heated to get better and better until he can knock out his opponent. Canelo deserves to be in the top 1 of pound for pound king ranking and I'm sure next year we will see more surprises from Canelo and he is ready to take a big step, probably moving up in weight.

Canelo really show how strong his chin he's not even scared getting straight punch from Plant, on round 11 Plant's looks tired and can't fight anymore with Canelo but he's still force himself until he knocked out. 2-3 weeks ago I read an article [1] Canelo will knock out Plant less than 8 rounds, however even it's not really accurate but he's still prove his claim to knock out Plant.

Canelo feels after won IBF super middleweight title, it's done.

That's correct, as usual, the early rounds are for his opponent but when he heats up and begins to find this rhythm things would be then in his favor until the last round of the game, whether it's a KO or through judges' decision. Canelo has made his name in boxing already but he is still young, so I'm expecting him to have more fights and probably moving up would be a good idea for a tougher challenge.

Indeed and I enjoy this fight. Canelo is unstoppable and we can see his power and determination. I wont be surprise if he became one of the best mexican boxers in his generation. On the other side, Plant managed to protect his body and last to 11 rounds. I think he is a good boxer as well and I believe he can still redeem himself since there are still opportunity for him to show what he got.

Yes, it is not that easy to predict the round in which it gets the result. From my view from the fourth round onwards Canelo have been progressing continuously. On every further round he had been making some strong punches with style. This showed the winning chance, but not the exact round for the result. It was nice to see him saying we want result when asked about the moving up for 175lbs.

We all knew who would win the fight but when the fight went into the 11th round i was worried because i placed a bet on Canelo Alvarez to win by knockout and i thought it would reach a decision thereby loosing my bet, but then he was able to turn the fight around and after getting the first knockdown i knew Canelo Alvarez would swarm him and finish him off and that is what we saw. Canelo Alvarez wanted to punish Caleb Plant for talking shit and he did exactly that and then finished him in the end.

Right, even before the faithful knock down, Caleb Plant looks really strong in taking Canelo's punches.

But once Canelo hit that target, Caleb's body just gave in and goes down. Alvarez is ahead on all of the judges scorecard so there is a possibility that he will win by a decision.

Props to Caleb as well, he really stood there and fight his hearts out, gave everything and we can see that Canelo is not comfortable in the first couple of rounds.
