You own the pen
Oh! this one is another big thing exhibition since those two were popular back in their times. both fighters are deadly knockout artists and very good counter puncher. I wonder if still, they have those deadly punch with them especially Miguel Cotto. I think there's a lot of people who gonna watch this match since these two from the era of boxing where every kids and adults are entertained back then on how they fought in the ring.

Nice to see those 2 boxers will back again at the ring, even at an exhibition.

2 popular boxers on their time, both also got demolished by Manny Pacquaio although Marquez got sweet revenge out of pure determination and hunger to beat the People's champ.

Expecting more information will come after the announcement.
I think that Marquez' defeating Pacquiao in their last match made some kind of downfall for the People's Champ career and many Filipino fans were shocked by that knockout. This will be a good fight though considering that they are both good fighters and I would consider this to be a good fight.

Well I don't think that it is determination because that Fight we Knew that Manny Is already in Advantage but he become reckless and over confident that's why Marquez have given Him just a Single Punch and Boom Drops down like a Cow  Grin

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
Well, even this is exhibition I still think Cotto has the best chance here, well, I think he'll be the favorite considering the age and when he was still active compare to the Hall of Fame Marquez that's been inactive since 2014. Though I don't say the capability of Marquez over this fight was low but and he has not those power from his prime but I think old age has hit him, just my opinion.

Oh, this is indeed surprising. This came out of nowhere. I mean, there is not much reason for the two to suddenly agree for a match at this point in time, even in an exhibition. There is no bad blood between the two either. Or perhaps this is all for charity? Or pure entertainment?

I haven't heard of both men's condition lately. Marquez is a lot older than Cotto and has been inactive much longer than Cotto. But I'm more of a Marquez fan than Cotto's, so I'd be on Marquez if ever I'll place a tiny bet. But I'm not really a fan of exhibition matches.

I'm a Miguel Cotto fan and I admire his style of fighting. It's interesting and fun to watch retired fighters lacing their boots once again nowadays.

Cotto and Marquez are two legends and have put up entertaining and quality performances in their best years. It will be a blast to watch this fight for the nostalgia and just because I loved watching them during their heydays.

If this was a real fight then Cotto would be the obvious favorite. He fought as high as middleweight and Marquez fought at welter but never had much success at that weight. His best weight class was lightweight. Cotto is not very tall so it is more of the natural weight difference that is his biggest advantage.

Both guys retired due to injuries and neither really needs the money so it is surprising that they will step into the ring again. These exhibition fights seem to be big trend now. In the last few days we've heard about Oscar de la Hoya and Anderson Silva participating in these types of bouts.

Here is a quick professional boxing record for these two great boxers.

This is something exciting since this is an exhibition match. Height and reach are both the same for these two, what I believe is Juan Manuel Marquez got the more advantage in the experience, more bouts, and I believe it will help him to favor the odds.

I am curious about having an exhibition match, are there still some sports bookies that will able to have this match or in some cryptocurrency gambling platforms?

^^ At least we are going to see them fight, even though not in their prime anymore.

I also thought that Cotto will be the favourite since he is the bigger guys, even going as high as 160 lbs if I'm not mistaken, why Marquez was just a ballooned 147 lbs with some "juice" from Memo. And since the fight is exhibition it could be in the catch weight of probably around 150 lbs.

Yes, these boxers are contemporary, wonder though why they didn't call each other out when they have a common opponents.

This is now the new trend in the new norm, retired boxers coming back, performing exhibitions for the fans and then making money as well. I'm more surprised on Marquez though, after he won against Pacquaio and then Manny keeps chasing him, he said no, and then at 47 years old he is coming back. Anyways, this is just an exhibition match and probably not going to go 12 rounds.

This is a surprise:

Miguel Cotto vs. Juan Manuel Marquez Exhibition Clash in Play For June 12

Quote
Multiple sources have informed BoxingScene.com that the pair of former four-division titlists are due to meet in an exhibition bout on June 12 from a location to be determined. Details on the event have yet to be confirmed other than that an announcement from both parties is expected in the coming days.

Oh well, retired boxers are now on the exhibition match. I think this fight should have happened when they are still fighting, Pacquiao has the luxury to fight these two legendary boxers, specially Marquez. Information is sketchy at this point.

Perhaps Cotto will be the slight favourite here.
