This is a little more complicated if you imagine that between Cotto and Marquez, both of them have a good history in boxing, both of them have won world boxing fights, this needs negotiation in this match.

Talking about (Cotto), maybe a little hopeful in winning this time, Cotto is not only a boxing legend, however, in the country of Cotto, Puerto Rico almost all corners have a tradition in boxing, it is recognized by the world.
However, anything can happen in the ring that we never expected, but my belief is Cotto has a good chance this time.

I'm for Cotto, so the vote is tied as of now. Again, for me Cotto is the bigger guy and is the younger of the two. And it seems that he is more of the athletic guy as compare to Marquez.

Both of them has the experienced so it will even up, I'm looking at the age and how they are active after their boxing days. But yeah, they are looking for some nice money here because we all know that a PR vs Mexico fight specially these two fighters, fans are always going to buy and wanted to see them fight regardless if this is exhibition match.

The last time I watched Marquez was the fight between Pacquiao so its interesting to watch him back on the ring and for whatever purpose of this Exhibition Match, hopefully the same intensity as before and of course, I’ll go for Marquez and I’m sure he wont fight without money, maybe they are doing this for charity purposes, let’s see.

Im betting with Marquez on this one when we do just base up on stats or number alone then theres no doubt that Marquez is much more experienced but since both are retired
then it will vary on how well they had maintained of their bodies on the time that they had already stopped on this boxing career.

We do have lots of exhibition matches lately but it turns out that money making or generated on these fights arent something the same compared to those normal days.

They are now trying to make some cash with these fights.

I've added a poll now. You may cast your votes to see who are going to be the favourite amongst our boxing fans here in this community. I reckon that Cotto may get the most votes base on the comments above.
It looks like Marquez is winning the poll and this is indeed a surprise to me because he’s a retired boxer and now, having an exhibition match this coming June. They are trying to get back on the boxing ring to get some money for sure, though of course its good to see them back but I don’t know the meaning of retirement anymore with this one.  Cheesy I will also go for Cotto on this one.

Miguel Cotto vs. Juan Manuel Marquez Exhibition Clash in Play For June 12

https://www.boxingscene.com/miguel-cotto-vs-juan-manuel-marquez-exhibition-clash-play-june-12--156534

Oh well, retired boxers are now on the exhibition match. I think this fight should have happened when they are still fighting, Pacquiao has the luxury to fight these two legendary boxers, specially Marquez. Information is sketchy at this point.

Perhaps Cotto will be the slight favourite here.

I do rather say that Marquez would be favorite on here than with Cotto. It seems that these retired boxers trying to make out some money this pandemic. They have seen that
these exhibition matches could really give some money in both parties but i dont think that there would really be much more interest with these upcoming fights.
I do rather get interested when Marquez and Pacquiao would really be having some exhibition fight than with Coto which is surely an interesting
one than on this.

i thought exhibition fights are almost over. but here we are, another one. but for the sake of voting, i go for marquez on this one. maybe, their respective promoters are finding a way how to earn additional income since they cant get full revenue for the gates.
there are so many good matches now. so i hope these promoters will stop doing these exhibition fights, unless they will give good portion to some organisations that badly need financial assistance

Another boxing exhibition match brewing up. Some are still in the pipeline. Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. were done as well as Nate Robinson and Jake Paul. Dela Hoya is planning to return. Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul's match was postponed. Jake Paul and Ben Askren are expected to face each other inside the boxing ring come April. Entertainment galore!

I guess this is courtesy of covid-19 as ex-boxers and other MMA fighters and other sports discipline is finding their way inside the right and generate money. Miguel Cotto and JM Marquez has a storied carrier in boxing and maybe they wanted to box again, make money or donate the proceeds to covid-19 victims in their respective countries.

These are Manny's boxing buddies, lol...

Manny is still active while both are already making an exhibition fight, I'm wondering if Manny would retire and he will still do stuff like this.
I guess Manny will still make more money on the fight because he has a lot of fans that are willing to support and watch his fight.

Marquez vs Cotto, I think I'll go for Cotto as I believe he is a better fighter.

Same here mate.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
I'm surprised with this news, I thought they were already not active in boxing but here we are again, seeing them fighting.

I guess Marquez should also give Manny a chance for exhibition so Manny could avenge his loss..

Even it would be a exhibition match, it will be still a good match because this two boxers was already confirmed to be good and veteran in this field as we watch them both crashed by Manny Pacquiao. I am hoping to see this two again in the boxing ring so that we may know who is the best between them than having an exhibition match in which they might not serious enough to win. Hoping to have a real fight between these two warriors.

It's good to see them legendary boxers fight again, but we all know they're also up for the money involved and it is now becoming a trend. I'm expecting more of these in the future.

On the other hand, Pacquiao matches would sell a good amount of money If he fight fighters on their primes Ryan Garcia for example as he also loves to fight his idol. But a few fights from his fellow legend would also mean a good money as long as Pacquiao is fighting.

I think this is much better if you Put a Poll OP, because more of the reactors here are Manny pacquiao's Fan and seems like commenting on what they saw upon the fight of Peoples Champ .

I will  go for Cotto in this Fight , i believe that Cotto is still on His prime while Marquez is some kind of Old enough to fight for this younger generation .

Since Manny's Fight is still on the table , maybe i will consider using my funds on this .

This is a surprise:

Surprising indeed lol, Marquez could have choose to fight Pacquiao at this stage, they have unfinished business so to speak.
He could have get more than this exhibition match.

Cotto will be the favorite here, no doubt about that because he is the bigger and younger of the two.

Cotto have not fought Marquez because of boxing politics, Bob Arum was too focused on milking Pacman at that time that they missed this match-up.

Pacman is easy to promote, everybody likes seeing knockouts every time and his story is easy to sell. it would have been a good match. there were talks between Cotto and Marquez when Cotto was searching for a big fight before he retires but it never happened because again boxing politics, they first want Mayweather and Connor. Money is the first priority.

Oh! this one is another big thing exhibition since those two were popular back in their times. both fighters are deadly knockout artists and very good counter puncher. I wonder if still, they have those deadly punch with them especially Miguel Cotto. I think there's a lot of people who gonna watch this match since these two from the era of boxing where every kids and adults are entertained back then on how they fought in the ring.

Yes, during those times Cotto of Puerto Rico and Marquez from Mexico was boxing's popular fighters. And now that both of them have retired for good because of age, they are going back to a big exhibition match since this is now the latest trend. Either two retired boxers, or some youtube sensation fighting a boxer.

Definitely, intriguing match, Cotto is the bigger guy, so I will vote for Miguel to win this entertaining match. Maybe we can see some glimpse of them during their prime, fighting toe to toe.

I think that Marquez' defeating Pacquiao in their last match made some kind of downfall for the People's Champ career and many Filipino fans were shocked by that knockout. This will be a good fight though considering that they are both good fighters and I would consider this to be a good fight.
my father in law whos a big fan of Pacquiao doesn't even want to talk about Manny's loss. all he is saying was that it's a lucky punch. it's clearly not, it's sort of a Marquez fight plan.
Typical Filipino fans, they don't want Manny to lose and they don't talk about it, I mean most of the old people in my neighborhood always says that all of Pacquiao's defeats are rigged and they don't like the idea that Pacquiao has lost, I never knew that Pacquiao lost to Morales until I have heard of it in the commentator, that is how Filipino fans don't want to talk about Pacquiao's defeat. In a way, when Pacquiao loses the match, the Filipino fans are the sore loser.

cotto is a lot younger. exhibition match is becoming a trend in sports. they still fight like there is a belt at risk which makes it entertaining still. seem one way to make money from the people who still have time for entertainment despite the setback due to pandemic. i'd bet for cotto.

Nice to see those 2 boxers will back again at the ring, even at an exhibition.

2 popular boxers on their time, both also got demolished by Manny Pacquaio although Marquez got sweet revenge out of pure determination and hunger to beat the People's champ.

Expecting more information will come after the announcement.
