^ I think everyone or at least the majority knows that Crawford wanted this fight since the beginning. And we have been suspecting that it might be the camp of Spence that is delaying this fight for years because of Crawford with Top Rank. But since he is no longer with Bob Arum, we all expect that this fight is going to be made easy. But it seems there is another stumbling block and we all have our speculations and again pointing out the obvious that Spence wanted more time or at least holding up the fight again.

For the month of September, there's still no update and we are halfway through the month, it should have one since both camps guaranteed that they will fight this year they need to update this month or later before the month of October so both fighters can concentrate on their training, this has been a long wait so far, and if the fight did not push through, expect a lot of blaming drama on both camps.

I think it's been 4 months already since they started the discussion regarding the undisputed fight last June and yes, we are already half way through the month but still we haven't heard some update from either camps on what is really taking so long. Crawford should start pressuring the opposite camp because he is getting old and he haven't had some fights this year too.

For the blaming season, there's no need for that because the people are already seeing Spence as an obstacle why the fight haven't established until this day and it seems that they aren't ready to risk Spence's record because the current Crawford is not easy to defeat and it will be a real challenge for Spence if he will fight Crawford now.

However, Spence made a big statement last April when he defeated Ugas via TKO because Spence said that he will come for Crawford's belt next. That's why are in this discussion now but unfortunately, the fight might not happen this year.

As for me, I don't think that it's a rush even they will push it on the speculated date on November 19 and announcement will be posted even on the last day of this month. No problem about building a hype in attempt to lure more viewers since this is a mega fight and talks about this fight started way back several months ago. I even think that the moment this fight will be officially materialized and announcement will now be all over the world, ticket sales will be sold out might be within just 2-3 days.

Agree with you though, just sit and wait patiently.
A lot of news about the 19th of November has been agreed for the boxing match schedule, but unfortunately the contract has not been handled so we will need to wait for official confirmation at the end of this month or at least next month. All boxing fans have been hoping for the match to happen but if the match will never happen then it is very disappointing because of the delay in updating information about the signature of the boxer's contract, hopefully the boxer will give an answer soon and don't hold out time for the certainty of the boxing match.

I think we should better wait till there is an official announcement regarding the anticipated fight. Of course, it's good to hear that there are development from within. But the report say that they are still looking at the November 19 date which is very near and things are very iron out regarding the PPV and which network are going to cover this mega fight.

If they haven't announced it yet I don't think they will rush it by the middle of November.  Probably the biggest fight for both of them and boxing will want to suck out as much as they can from this fight.  At this point it would probably be sometime in 2023 but who knows.  Just sitting waiting patiently.

Perhaps they are waiting for the Canelo vs GGG trilogy and wanted to see how the fans are going to react, like the PPV numbers. But it doesn't make sense because fanbase are different. I guess we are all just looking for some excuses as to why the fight is still delayed.  This fight is one of the biggest for the year 2022 and we are all hype about it.

I don't think that's necessary, it's already given, this fight will generate huge PPV sales and gate entrance as well. That's not the problem I'm seeing here, it's probably the split of the revenue, or one of the boxers is not confident he can win the fight, of course, that would result in losing the undefeated record.

Maybe both of them are afraid to lose their 0 in their record, I love to see undefeated fighters fight each other especially when the stakes are very high, what's at stake here is the undefeated record and the undisputed titles, I checked the internet for the latest updates and there is none still the old news that they are ironing about details of the fight, if the contract is signed and there is a date, the internet will explode, I subscribed to over 10 pages about boxing in my social media account and they will send the feeds if the fight will happen, but so far it's all about Fury - Joshua and GGG and Canelo, no news about Crawford - Spence match.

Maybe still on the process or maybe both camps are not willing to give up the undisputed records.

Whatever the reason behind, I'm sure that there will be news or updates about this possible upcoming fight, we can't tell
what's the real score since there is no new announcement about the finalization of their contract, no sign deal yet
but hopefully we will be able to witness this fight, both are good fighters and really have big impacts in this sport
fans will be delighted if both will sign the contract and make this fight happen.

This fight has been waited for the people that's why it will be hard for both camps to hide the details if there is indeed some details to spare but looking at the fight now, no news surfacing nor rumors about the undisputed fight. People and fans are losing patience already because the negotiations is taking too long to make the fight happen.

If this fight won't happen, Crawford should at least defend his belt or get a fight early next year because the time is not on his side anymore unlike Spence who just came back fresh from his fight versus Ugas.

At this point I think it's more just the fans that want to see this fight than the 2 of them.  I know I'm in the minority but Crawford would do this fight in a second, dude fights anything in front of him and is scared of no one.  If this fight does go off catching the early line on Crawford is the play.  Closer to the fight I think it will be much closer to even than in the beginning.  Hope it goes off but I'm not holding my breath.

That might be true mate, I really think that only Crawford and the fans around the globe are the ones who are only interested in making this fight happen but for Spence and his camp? I'm starting to sense that they are just avoiding the fight to happen behind scenes that is why we haven't heard any update from their camp ever since the discussion began.

I will be happy if this fight will materialize this year but I'm already done waiting for it too. Crawford should act early though because he haven't got a fight this year.
I don't know what really going on and what's are the plan for team Spence. But  people who loves boxing and all supporters of Crawford we really need to see this big fight it because the winner of this fight will be the best of thier division these both fighter are undefeated so it will be the best fight is this gonna happens. But in the situation of Spence then I have a doubt if they will continue or back out to this fight. But all we need to do right now is to wait for the further announcement.

And this is the latest update:

Quote
BoxingScene.com has learned that talks between Errol Spence and Terence Crawford have resulted in both fighters agreeing to terms in principle. The matter is now in the hands of their respective legal teams to button up final details, with hopes that a deal will be signed by both parties in the coming days.

Once finalized, the welterweight superfight is expected to headline a November 19 Pay-Per-View event from MGM Grand Garden Arena, according to multiple parties familiar with such talks.

https://www.boxingscene.com/spence-crawford-agree-terms-principle-undisputed-welterweight-championship--169072

So this is good news for us boxing fans, when we thought that the fight is not going to happen, they made some significant headway and as per reported, they have agreed to terms in principle. Meaning that they just have to put that verbal agreement into paper, both legal counsel working together to settle everything. And when it's ready, and it should not take that long, then the fight is official.

They've already hyped this match-up when they agreed that they will negotiate to fight, the negotiation is already over hype and the boxing community wants it to stop and both fighters to sign the contract, honestly, I like to see his thread close and start a new thread with a date of the fight so we can all discuss the fighters' skills and the potential results, not discussing or speculating if the fight will push through or not, we've wanted to long and it's quite confusing if this fight is still going to happen.

Please read the main post on why speculations are still the main discussion here.

If ever there will be an official date for this fight, there's no need for a new thread as OP can just change the title and of course, what you will see in the discussion from there is now mainly about the fight, boxers skill, results, etc. and no more speculation of when this the fight will happen.

Just go with the flow of discussions because there's no announcement yet about the status of this fight Smiley

Agree! That fact is not new to us anymore because we knew how Crawford wanted this fight but he just couldn't do it because of Bob Arum and now that he's free, there's another roadblock again that prevents him from making his legacy because it really seems to the public that Spence is not interested to fight Crawford this year after all that statement he made when Spence defeated Ugas.

This might be a picture of modern Mayweather and Pacquiao because I honestly think that Spence is using Mayweather's manual in order to increase his chances of winning the fight.

The major stumbling block has been cleared by Crawford already. So for me, everything is on the side of Spence and his team. Yeah, we could compare this to Floyd and Manny, big hype when Floyd retired and Manny is makng waves on the scene. Floyd comes back but then waited till Pacquiao has been in a lot of wars, his chin is already soften and been crack before he agree to fight.

Anyhow, the fight is at a stalemate, that's why there is no news. The last time that we heard is from Crawford and still hoping that the fight could still be made this year.

Once they've signed the contract, the hypes for ticketing and PPV will rise for sure.

Like what you've mentioned, these fights are one of the anticipated fight that fans are already waiting for so long,

There's nothing that will delay the tickets sales, it will be supported and the chance that it will become a high
gross fights this year.
