If there is a rematch clause then Tank will have to look for other opponents, but I'm not sure who is he going to face next, Romero is asking for a rematch with him, but I don't see Davis giving him that opportunity again as he said on the post fight.

Loma is still busy in his native country of Ukraine, while Ryan Garcia might be the logical option, or even Lopez if he can still make the LW division.

Romero has to move on, he will not get a rematch with Davis as that was a very clear win. Davis will instead look for an opponent that has a good record and could him create a good fight. Romero was given a chance, his chance is now over.

That's a sign though of sour loser as he can't move on. And I agree that he has his chance but didn't make the best of it. Rolly might have a good boxing future because everyone talks about his power, but they shouldn't let him fight the champion this early at his career because he is going to be destroyed as he lacks the experience. I'm thinking that he could be a good match against Isaac "the Pitbull' Cruz next. Two hard nose fighter with very good power. But we will see what Floyd next option will be for Romero.

Losing the first time via knockout is such a bad experience but Rolly will learn, but he should change his attitude and maybe change his trainer, it's not always power that wins the match it's always timing and getting the upper hand at the right time, and this is why Haney and Kambosos are ahead of the pack they are patient, they are not seeker they know that it will come when they work on the opportunity and the right timing and this is what Romero totally lack, Romero is good for level B fighters but for level A he'll have a hard time adjusting.

What you guys think of the winner of the Kambosos vs Haney directly goes to Tank Davis who just won over Romero via knockout? I think either of these two fighters are going to be a perfect match for Davis.

I mean if Haney wins then we have a technical fighter against a boxer in Davis.

And then if George wins, a brawler vs brawler, another exciting fight that could end in a knock out.

But we will have to find out soon, this fight will be next week already.

AFAIK, there's a rematch clause on this fight, so we will not see a new opponent of the winner right away, who knows, this rival might go to a trilogy, and that means Tank Davis has to look for another fighter so he will not be stagnant. I love what Tank Davis did, he knows himself that he is a knockout puncher but at the same time he doesn't underestimate his opponent, he was very smart in that just recently concluded fight with Romero.

Even if there is a rematch,  there's a possibility that it will not push through depending on the result of the fight, if one boxer knocks out the other or the other boxer fully dominated the other fighter, the rematch is only good right now if it's going to attract support and promoters can still make money, it will attract more attention if the winner of the Haney- Kambosos match meet Gervonta Davis.

You are right, it depends on the outcome of the first fight, if it's a one-sided fight, then most likely promoters will not see a rematch as good for the business. The winner of this might have a chance to fight with Tank if he will accep the challenge of Tank. I like to see Kambosos vs Davis, seems a great match for both aggressive boxers.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
Even though this is indeed a bluff, I think it is quite important because it is a good bluff in the beginning to see if the opponent's response is whether they will retaliate or will just accept and keep humbling themselves. on the other hand, it is also still quite useful to suppress some parties and increase the confidence that Kambosos has.

Haney has not said much so far but indeed he now looks like he will reply to statements like this with evidence of seriousness in the training he continues to do
But that bluff doesn't change a thing and his chances won't change as it is somehow clear that he's uncomfortable with Haney's capabilities. Yes, Kambosos Jr. is quite good but his moves are quite predictable than Devin Haney which have some kind of style like Mayweather which makes him unpredictable. His still on progress but those figures are already good if we are going to compare it and Kambosos should look out for that counter punch because that could end him.
With the various psywars that he did, it was clear that he was not really happy with Haney so he decided to be aggressive from the start with the hope that Haney's side would be provoked and give a not too good response here.
He realized that Haney was quite dangerous right now and indeed he would definitely be in a bit of trouble in the Ring later and could be cornered so he did this to make an early splash. Even though it's like you said it would be a waste if Haney's side didn't respond and it would be like throwing a punch in the wind.

Yes, it is practically clear that Kambosos is trying to get into Haney's head and provoking him that's why he is so aggressive right now. I bet he was more anxious now because Haney didn't respond vocally but instead, he invited the media into his training session and made it an open book to Kambosos. That answer provoked Kambosos instead! Grin

Here I think it is difficult to determine the winner in advance, yes, Haney is younger than Kambosos by 5 years, but at the same time he has more fights 27 against 20, he also wins more often by knockouts and therefore he should spend less time in the ring, but this is not so because he wins by knockouts usually in 3/4 of the fight. So I think in this fight the chances of boxers are about 50/50

kambosos is too much for Haney. His punching speed, foot work, stamina are highly underated. And although he throws punches in an awkward angle, he's got good counter. He is indeed a student of Floyd. Unless Haney is smart enough to counter kambosos fast handspeed and good at cutting distance, there's a huge chance that he might be KO.

I like your confidence on Kambasos, because looking at the betting odds, looks like Haney is too much for Kambasos, but of course, let's see if who will win becasue this is definitely a great fight between the two undefeated champoions. I agree that Kambasos is underrated, I hope he will prove to us that he is a legit champion so he will gain the respect he deserve.

I think these boxers have an equal chance of winning because of the fact that they have their own different skillset, it will be just a matter of timing and correct execution to make a successful punch that could lead to a victorious but. Anyhow, there's also a chance of KO in both boxers but the chance is just slim as this would likely result into a UD. Expect a good fight people because I bet that's what we will see soon.
Might be a split decision for Kambosos? He did it against Lopez and actually in his 3 last fights. So this might likely be the case, going to the judges card and Haney winning on one judges and the other 2 giving it to Kambosos. I'm not seeing any knockout because both have a not so good percentage. But for sure this is one interesting fight, the war has started as they have been talking trash outside of the ring already.

It's interesting to watch this fight because regardless of anything, both boxers have something to motivate them so that they can be the last survivors in the ring.
But if you look at some footage on social media and some platforms now, it seems that Kmabasos is quite confident and has started to continue doing psy war Will Cut Haney & Drown Him

In my opinion, the statements of George Kambosos are a bluff.

Kambosos tries to intimidate Devin Haney and cheer himself and his fans up.  It seems to me that George Kambosos is afraid of Devin Haney.

Haney is very young, agile, fast.  For Kambosos, this is a very uncomfortable opponent.

Devin Haney is constantly progressing.  Many write that he has not yet worked out the decisive knockout blow and it will be difficult for him to win by knockout.

Yes, this is partly true.

However, Devin is progressing with each new fight.  And now he is actively training.

In my opinion, in this fight he will be able to knock out Kambosos.

So what's your prediction on this fight? Are you with Haney or Kambasos?

I will go with Kambosos here, he will be motivated to proved that his win against Lopez is no fluke. And I agree that Haney is a very good boxer, skill wise. But he has a weak chin and Kambosos has power. So I'm just imagining that if George land that flush on Devin's chin, it will be over, regardless of what round he will land that. So George by KO might be a good odds to bet.

Is Haney called the second Floyd Mayweather? Haney is still learning the philly shell. I reckon he is not as skilful as Floyd Mayweather with this defensive style. Watch the replay of Haney versus Jorge Linares. Haney was not as quick to avoid the punches when he went into a shell and bended to his right side.
It's not only on philly shell, but his play style is similar with Mayweather, but Haney is just the slow version. I watched Haney often hug his opponent on purpose, walking away in the ring and giving surprise punches when the opponent didn't expect it, that's what Mayweather do. The only difference I see between them is Haney doesn't confident to play  in the corner and not have really good head movements.

So what's your prediction on this fight? Are you with Haney or Kambasos?

If he is not as fast as Mayweather, then we can expect that Kambasos will have a decent chance of winning the fight, because aside from being a good counter puncher, and aggressive boxer, he is also fighting in his home country.

For now it's really hard to see who will win, and even if Haney is the favorite, he will be boxing without his father on his side, so this is a big negative in my opinion.

On the other hand, George will be comfortable fighting at his native country, and has all the advantage in his favor. But Haney is known to be a technical fighter and this could be Kambosos weaknesses. If Haney is a brawler like Teofimo Lopez, then maybe George can impose his will. But if Haney play it safe and make it a very technical fight, Kambosos might find it difficult to adjust.

I'm with Devin Haney on this fight, they are taking his fight with Jorge Linares as a reference and it is true that Devin Haney is not as fast as Mayweather but he improved more on his next fight against Joseph Diaz which happened in the same year. Surely Haney have some equal or more chances of winning than Kambosos Jr. and the fact that he's been teasing Kambosos with that open media training and all means that he is really confident enough to defeat the latter.
