Is Haney called the second Floyd Mayweather? Haney is still learning the philly shell. I reckon he is not as skilful as Floyd Mayweather with this defensive style. Watch the replay of Haney versus Jorge Linares. Haney was not as quick to avoid the punches when he went into a shell and bended to his right side.
It's not only on philly shell, but his play style is similar with Mayweather, but Haney is just the slow version. I watched Haney often hug his opponent on purpose, walking away in the ring and giving surprise punches when the opponent didn't expect it, that's what Mayweather do. The only difference I see between them is Haney doesn't confident to play  in the corner and not have really good head movements.

So what's your prediction on this fight? Are you with Haney or Kambasos?

If he is not as fast as Mayweather, then we can expect that Kambasos will have a decent chance of winning the fight, because aside from being a good counter puncher, and aggressive boxer, he is also fighting in his home country.

KO result is the only way to ensure that the fight is fair, when it comes to the judges, not everyone will approve of their decision because we are also biased as a fan. I don't know if we can expect an honest judging in this fight if it goes to the scorecards because we know that Pacman was once cheated in this country.

Of course, Haney will be trying to win by knock out but that's hard to get since Kambosos always train hard and is always at the peak at the time of the fight, if the fight is too close, the hometown decision will play a big factor on the judges' decision, Haney should chase Kambosos and be more aggressive to impress the judges' of course he needs to score a lot and should hurt Kambosos if he wants to win the fight, Australian will be hostile because four titles is at stakes here and Kambosos is their boxing hero now.
It's interesting to watch this fight because regardless of anything, both boxers have something to motivate them so that they can be the last survivors in the ring.
But if you look at some footage on social media and some platforms now, it seems that Kmabasos is quite confident and has started to continue doing psy war Will Cut Haney & Drown Him

In my opinion, the statements of George Kambosos are a bluff.

Kambosos tries to intimidate Devin Haney and cheer himself and his fans up.  It seems to me that George Kambosos is afraid of Devin Haney.

Haney is very young, agile, fast.  For Kambosos, this is a very uncomfortable opponent.

Devin Haney is constantly progressing.  Many write that he has not yet worked out the decisive knockout blow and it will be difficult for him to win by knockout.

Yes, this is partly true.

However, Devin is progressing with each new fight.  And now he is actively training.

In my opinion, in this fight he will be able to knock out Kambosos.

Devin Haney is in a very combative mood right now.  He set himself the ambitious goal of defeating George Kambosos twice.  In this case, the fights will take place in Australia (in the homeland of George).

Devin Haney is a great fighter.  He is called the second Floyd Mayweather (they have similar fighting styles).  Devin Haney dreams of the glory of the legendary boxer and millions of dollars.  He is an incredibly ambitious person.  Devin is an incredibly talented boxer, and with each fight he progresses, perfecting his fighting style.

This young boxer has a very extensive arsenal of striking techniques.  He successfully uses both jabs and uppercuts.  He is also incredibly mobile and easily increases the distance with a partner.

In my opinion, he will win the fight with George Kambosos.  In any case, a very interesting battle awaits us on June 5!

Kambosos will certainly see this as an opportunity for his double jab left hook.

Also, Haney is still very young and still learning. This unification might be taken very early in his career and in my own opinion, it should be taken later.

That was tough for Haney, thanks for sharing the news and I think it's a big loss on the part of Haney. However, he has to be tough and try to beat Kambosos on his home country and make sure that he will win convincingly because speaking of judges, they'll surely favor their own.

With this present news, I still don't change my prediction, I still believe Haney will win.
Well looking at it from a more real point of view, I think that Haney will use this incident to win in honor of his father, it is unfortunate what happened to him, it is noteworthy that Haney must feel some pain because it is an event that can hit him hard emotionally, however, if he is strong enough, he will use this incident to his advantage.

This is more interesting, because now Kambosos can also use this news to strengthen himself even more, the mood if he usually hits any athlete harder, it is something that is intrinsic, more when it comes to family, when he needs more support In a fight.

Well that's the obvious meaning of boxing, trying to get a win by knocking the other guys out.

Hopefully there will be no hometown decision here, it should be not biased just because the fight is going to be held in Kambosos hometown. Yeah, I know about the Pacman vs Horn controversy, but I don't think they are going to made the same mistakes here.

Besides, this might be not end on judges scorecard for all we know and there could be a knock out.

I still hold to my view that Haney will keep looking for a knockout and will try to be very dominant so as to shut down any hometown decision, hometown decision is not a biased decision when a fight can go either way or to close to call the hometown decision will be a big factor, that is why boxers always opted for a neutral ground to avoid hometown decision when the fight is to close to call.

You have a point, but we cannot do about it as Devin Haney has also agreed with and if he didn't then the venue was relocated or the fight hasn't materialized. However, he even knew that this fight will be to his disadvantage because of the hometown decision but his power and style will be the ones to speak if he's truly capable of defeating Kambosos. There will be lots of people who will watch this event even the WBO to make sure that the fight will be fair.

It's not that because Kambasos trained hard, it's because Haney is not that as aggressive as Kambasos, he is not a KO artist IMO. You cannot compare their training as both of them are surely training hard for this undisputed title fight, so it depends on their style in the ring, and if Haney gets careless, then most likely we will see a KO.

^ Kambosos and Haney are two world class fighter. I'd actually think its going to be quick fight and this I could say the mafia will be confuse who they'd want to win. Too much risk so its better to just let them fight with all they could give. Both could shut one another in first round.

Yes, it was supposedly Loma, but Loma is in Ukraine right now, doing time to served in military, so God bless him.

Oh too bad, hope Loma gets out alive there. Jesus its not boxing ring that he is into.

I agree. Both players are regarded as professionals and can really deliver powerful and quick punches and strikes, with footwork alongside it. It would be a tough fight for both of the players and surely they would dedicate their time left to prepare from the upcoming match. This game will decide so much for them about what the future holds. It's either they move forward or continue to pursue different title to keep in pace.

Regarding Loma which should be the one's opponent, it's really unfortunate that their country is still under chaos. A lot of military have sacrificed themselves already just to defend their country. I hope Loma will survive despite the current situation their country is in. We all know how scary and troublesome being in a warzone. What more if you'll be in the front line. Let's all pray for him so that he could get back into boxing once the conflict is resolved and his contract is over.

Sometimes we cannot avoid thinking that home town decision is biased, so in order to beat that, a boxer should knock out the hometown fighter to have a clear win. In this fight, I don't think Haney could KO Kambasos, yes, Haney is good but he is not so aggressive, he is more of a technical figher who followed the rules of "hit your enemy but don't get hit".

In this case, it is clear that it is very unprofessional for the judge to take sides just because this is an area. regardless, it's quite funny if it really sided with just one fighter and indirectly they tarnished their own face for it.
The possibility for a knockout is still there and indeed in terms of calculation it is clear regardless of one region or one nationality this does not make a difference or become gold in the calculations because in sportsmanship there must be an objective assessment there.

It's not that he trains hard, it's either you have the chin or not, or if your opponent has the power. And in this case, Haney doesn't have that power so I doubt that he will win by a knock out.

On the other hard, Kambosos as he shows against Lopez, has good power in both hands, so it will be Haney who will used his boxing skills to avoid that shot. Maybe the judges this time will be fair for the American if he really boxes well against George and can win by decision.

Certainly, there are still lots of people who have not forgotten what happened back that day when Pacquaio got robbed in that fight.
On the same note, people will watch this Kambosos-Haney fight as well as the whole boxing organization if there will be some biased judgment but they are also hoping that this time it will be a clean and fair fight.
In every boxing match there should be strict rules for fair judges, because maybe some viewers or television viewers can count every punch during the match, but if the judge has set for victory to a certain boxer then the match will damage the reputation for every boxing sport. Judges must play a more prudent and fair role for all boxers and do not discriminate for away boxers or not.

There have been already some strict rules that have been imposed so that the judges should be fair and just even if one of the two boxers is his fellow countryman or somewhat connected to each other. Every people are also a judge of the fight that's why they also know which one would be declared as a winner but they don't have some voices because only the real judges have the right to score and I know they are also aware of that fact.

But most of the biases goes to the superstars, or the home fighters or promoters fighters.
Both fighters are superstars, it's a unification fight so I think the advantage here is the fighter who are at home, and since Haney is more of a technical fighter, it will be hard for him to convince the judges to give him the win if he cannot fully dominate the fight, so the best way is just to knock out Kambasos and surely the result will be fair enough.

The only advantage of Kambosos is the venue of the fight which is located on his country, Australia, and which gives him some morale and boost of confidence if ever he needed one and nothing more. Let's just hope that this will be a good clean fight because the said country is also known to cook some fights like the famous Pacquiao-Horn fight. Nevertheless, a lot of people really expected a fair fight as this is a unification fight.

Maybe you are right, but Kambasos has the power to hurt Haney as he surprised us already during his fight with Lopez. Haney is maybe a more technical fighter but no fighter would survive in the ring if he is hit by a solid punch coming from a heavy hitter fighter. The odds say that Haney is the favorite, but it's different when they are already in the ring, and since Kambasos is fighting in his home country, that makes him more motivated to win.

We have seen a lot of upsets in boxing, so no surprise if this one will turn out to be one.
A home advantage is seen also to be one of the factors that may contribute for Kambosos win.
But we want to see a clear and honest fight of course. We don't want to see boxing fans doubting the judges' decision.
As much as possible a KO will give us assurance that the fight is not rigged or any of that sort.

Of course it will have a effect on Devin Haney as his father has guided him to many fights and this is the biggest. Nevertheless he will have Yoel Judah to guide him, so for sure they have set up a game plan and have communicated everything that they need to do in this fight. As for the judges, I don't want to speculate, on it, everything is on Haney's hand if he doesn't want the fight goes to the judges decision.

I change my pick for this fight hehe. I was watching some of Kambosos highlights and also some highlights of Haney. It appears Haney is not very good in using the philly shell. I reckon Kambosos' left hook after the double jab will be there for Haney's head when he leans to his side heheheeh. This fight might become unpredictable after round 3 with a small advantage for Kambosos. Also, Haney is only 23 years old. He might not take the stress of fighting in Australia very well without Bill Haney with him.

Well, the truth is, Kambosos could start with a good strategy that would be to give a KO, but I think it is a very risky strategy, because he will spend a lot of energy and I know that he can do it, but Haney has a very good preparation, and also one of the main characteristics of it is resistance.

If we focus on the physical characteristics and the styles of the boxers we see that there is a combination of styles that, if they had each one, would be even more complete.
That is exactly why I want these kind of match-up because these boxers are the kind who wouldn't take an easy defeat as they are both eager and willing to give their best shot in-order to have a sure win no matter what would cost them. I just surely hope this will be a clean fight though.

Either way, both boxers shouldn't be complacent to each other because they are both capable of giving a knockout punch. But on this fight, I won't deny that I'm with Haney.
I would like to have an idea of some kind of advantage that either of the two boxers could have in this fight, for me Kambosos has explosiveness and that at any moment he can give everything and have little resistance, that is where I think Haney will have all the advantage, because if he manages to contain everything from Kambosos it could be the best of all scenarios.

I have not seen the bets for this fight and I really do not want to see them yet, at least until May 28 that the fighters have shown something about themselves, their training or any other advance, to have an idea of what they are prepared for, so I can have a better judgement.

They both have their own advantages as well as the disadvantage side, that's why we are seeing Haney showing his training to the media in hopes that they could set a trap on Kambosos camp because it's also expected that the latter's camp will use that video to study his movements. But I think Haney's camp have another goal that's why they revealed their training on the media, to think it's very unlikely to see some scenario like that. It's up to them on who will be the smarter one and that would have more chance in winning the fight.

That is what surprises me, I don't know if he does it to show that he is not afraid or is too confident, but I think all this is about his same strategy, he doesn't want to hide anything, I don't know if maybe after him training that he does for everyone, he concentrates on his own and begins a much rougher, stronger training that demands a lot from his body and when he shows his training it is only a kind of warm-up with medium-effort exercises to enter with the intense, not I know, that occurs to me, because if I could do it, I would do it without thinking about it, with that my body becomes much stronger and by resisting all that stress, it is prepared for any type of blow.
