As much as we don't appreciate or at least doesn't like the way Haney fights, he took out Kambosos and becomes the undisputed. And now it seems that we look forward for a rematch. Again, could be a sleeper fight again but boxing fans are going to pay for this match again specially that it will still be held in Kambosos backyard.

The rematch is not exciting anymore, what's on the rematch that will make boxing fans to be excited again, and what will make them pay for the rematch, Kambosos just become all talk but he didn't show anything, he is totally outclassed I like both fighters to meet other fighters, and maybe in the future, they will meet again but an immediate rematch will not excite the boxing fans, the coming match between Inoue and Donaire can even eclipse and forget the fight.

They won't generate good revenue in this rematch because people already see who will win the fight. If only Kambasos gave a good fight, then maybe the rematch will be interesting, I think they should look for another match up, and as for Haney, I think there's lots of champions waiting for him.

That's better than going for a rematch and yet we will see the same result.

Kambasos can't beat a technical fighter, period. He is only good if his opponent is willing to fight him toe to toe.
This fight is just like Canelo vs Mayweather, though Canelo is great but he was shooled by Mayweather.

Well, the younger boxer Haney defeated Kambosos and although it is difficult to call him spectacular, Haney won a well-deserved victory and now it remains to wait for the promised rematch.

As was a big possibility, Haney would bank on his reach advantage. This was mainly how Kambosos was defeated. Kambosos never had the chance to really exchange blows with Haney. Haney was satisfied not being hurt but not also hurting the opponent for as long as the points are in his favor. He came into the ring as a practical boxer, probably not even planning on schooling or knocking out Kambosos. He was there to simply make points and win however boring it might mean to the fans and everyone else.

In any case, what would be next for Haney if the rematch does not happen? Who would be more challenging for him? Lomachenko, Tank Davis or King Ryan?

Let's put it this way, Haney just sign a contract with Bob Arum's TR, George Kambosos is also in that banner and so he Loma. And with that, it's going to be a win-win for TR, either way it's all going to be in-house first. So it by chance Haney won the rematch, then Loma will go back because all the belts are all in the line. He can't refused that offer.

And let Davis, Ryan fight. I think Teo Lopez will have a first crack anyways, as he is also with TR. Just sad that how boxing politics works, in house fight first.

I felt like I was watching Rigondeaux tonight. One of the most boring fights I've seen in a while. A rematch would be pointless and would only hold up potential big fights that we have been wanting to see for a long time. It's time for Haney, Davis, Shakur and Loma to start facing each other.

This fight turned out to be too boring due to the tactics of Kambosos, who hoped for the whole fight on pressure, but Haney easily depart it and looked much more skillful in boxing. The revanche could have been different if Kambosos had prepared a different tactic, but now hardly anyone wants to see it.
I agree with you about other fights, but unfortunately Loma is still in the war and it is not known when he will be able to return to boxing.
I thought I'm the only one who felt the boredom while watching those 2 boxers fighting.
I think that's what you can expect from a boxer who is more of a defensive one and a counter puncher. The audiences are also silent as well because nothing really is happening between the two.

No need for rematch for this one because it's boring (for me) and it would be better if Haney will fight another opponent. Maybe let's move on with the boring fight and wait for the Inoue-Donaire match.

Who would be more challenging for him? Lomachenko, Tank Davis or King Ryan?
Loma is currently having a war I guess. Ryan Garcia? I'm not underestimating King Ry but I think he can't defeat him. Maybe Tank Davis would be the best option but let's see if this match will happen.

However, it was the correct game plan for Haney because Kambosos is very good in timing his opponents if they are always going in very much similar to Teofimo Lopez. It appears Haney's father has learned from Lopez's fight more than Lopez and told his son not to make those mistakes hehehe. It is also very impressive that only at 23 years old, the young Haney has managed the mental pressure like an old veteran of boxing.

In any case, what would be next for Haney if the rematch does not happen? Who would be more challenging for him? Lomachenko, Tank Davis or King Ryan?

Pretty much disappointed on the performance of Kambosos here. He was really schooled by Haney's super jab and defense as he was not hit clean in this fight. You can see his face still clean after 12 rounds while George face is somewhat battered by that stiff jab the Haney throws all throughout the fight. I guess Kambosos 15 minute of fame is over now. The belt is going back to the US and for sure American fighters are now going to chase Haney.

The total scores say it all, not even close. Yeah, we were expecting that Kambosos with his aggressiveness will give Haney trouble, but it didn't happen, it was a one-sided fight and I think there's no need for a rematch on this fight as it's very obvious that we will still see the same winner in the rematch.

Yes, but it seems that George Kambosos is going to execute the rematch clause and wanted to get his revenge and so most likely in the next 6 months or early next year we might see the rematch, he specifically says that it's on Australia again. But who knows maybe it's better for George not to fight in front of his fans and should go to US just like what he did when he upset Teofimo Lopez.

I don't understand why Kambosos was trying to outbox a very technical boxer like Haney aside from being the shorter fighter and shorter reach. I was expecting Kambosos to turn the fight into a brawl by throwing combinations of 3 to 5 punches. He was too late to let his hands go and lost his belts. He can still activate the rematch clause in Australia though. But with that boring fight outcome, it is hard to expect another 40,000+ audience in Australia. So I won't be surprised if the rematch happens in different location. Top Rank and ESPN might look for better alternative locations.

And that's what he said in the post fight interview, he will activate the rematch clause and fight again in Australia. No doubt about the fans really being disappointed by the outcome because their hero didn't win the fight and then boo'ed Haney.

I think it was round 7 when Kambosos try to let go of his hands. But it's kinda late, majority of the round have been scored on favor of Haney and he is very much comfortable using his jab and then clinch to stop George's momentum.

Exactly, it was clearly dominated by Haney, the technical fighter who won the fight and it's no surprise because he was the favorite to win going to this fight. As a fan, we are expecting a very entertaining fight but what we saw was a boring one, technical fighters should be banned, LOL. Kidding.
Yeah, Devin Haney won comfortably by a unanimous decision. I'm glad that the fight was clean and fair as the judge are not biased and gave a proper score as it's really evident that Kambosos was owned by Haney's strategies. Although the fight was boring but that's already expected because Haney is a technical boxer and likes to play it safe and smartly.

It's over now guys, Haney won comfortably, scores were: 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110.

The key? Haney's jab, Kambosos can't get inside because Haney is throwing that jab and makes it a technical fight and unfortunately, George can't adjust and during the championships round, you can see his frustrations as he tries to rough off Devin. Easy W.

I would say it's a boring fight, as some of us is expecting. Haney's style, but that's sweet science. Not sure if a rematch is needed here, it might be the same outcome. Congrats to those who bet on Haney to win by decision, not sure what the odds are, as I go with Kambosos here and thinks that he has a chance to win in his home court.

Travelled to fight Kambosos in his own country, then without his father in the beginning, fight in a ring wherein 50,000 fans wanted his to lose.

Haney becoming the undisputed lightweight champion at 23 years old!!!

I'm expecting a boring fight because both are more of a counter-puncher but the good thing with Haney is he much quicker than Kambosos and never tired of firing that jab to keep Kambosos at bay. This is boxing, you hit and don't get hit lol, sometimes people wouldn't understand that so this may put Haney's reign as the unified champion short-lived because people are craving for him to face Loma who is more technical than him and for me the top-dog on this division.

And we got what we expected from the fight, Haney's technicality overwhelmed Kambosos Jr., some said that it was a boring fight but they didn't understand that Haney is playing smart because he quite knew that Kambosos will look to get close as much as possible but Haney didn't let that happen as he used his reach advantage and jab to keep him outside the latter's reach.

Funny thing is that Ryan Garcia keeps on showcasing himself to have a spotlight even though he's not prepared to face any of these boxers, his team keeps cherry picking just to keep him straight from that brain disorder he got Grin He even criticized Haney and trash talked Tank Davis that he is next with Kambosos also in line.

First off, let's take out Rigondeaux from the picture and I think he doesn't even deserved to be mentioned here. I know what's your point mate but Rigo is different, he is nowhere near these boxers and the fight might be boring, yes but I didn't see Kambosos or Haney running and made the boxing a chasing game just like Rigo did.

I also expected that you cannot be a passive fighter against a technical fighter, you have to take out his game and make him off balance, Kambosos did not take chance or was afraid to take a chance, Haney is a better fighter, way better fighter in this fight, with Haney's technical superiority he could better Ryan Garcia or Tank Davis the boxing community doesn't deserve a rematch, it only applies if the match is close, but it is not.

9 out of 10, Haney will beat Kambosos anytime of the day. And Devin made George look amateurish in that fight, Lol. You don't know what Kambosos is trying to accomplished, is she doing the Philly shell stance? with his elbow outside? Just like what Romero did against Tank Davis. But this time, George didn't adapt and just used one strategy, that is try to overwhelm Haney which is very obvious in the first 3 rounds that it is going to work and his corner didn't give him good advise.

Kambasos is a heavy hitter, however, he is not fast enough to hit Haney, and with Haney's perfect jab, it hurt Kambasos and lost his confidence to get inside and be more aggressive. I think he already knows that he will lose the fight, it's just bad for him because he didn't make the right adjustment so the fight ended up a one sided fight.
