win lambo...

If they would see soo much demand with Casimero vs Inoue then he might consider on pushing it to happen but lets take this a pinch of salt because we dont know
on whats up to their minds.

Casimero is already popular, so I believe they already know that the demand for the fight is high, however, the promoter is also looking about the possibility of the outcome of the fight, if Inoue would lose in the fight, that would be the end of his future and Bob Arum would not be able to earn from his investment on Inoue.

The problem with this division is that there are no US names, maybe except Donaire who have been campaigning for many years in this division, but I do think that Inoue and Casimero is not yet a household name, they are just starting to build one in the US soil. So both of there promoters, specially Inoue, should  established their names first, create more hype so that US fans will buy their tickets and make more money for Bob, just like what he did to the career of Manny Pacquiao.

Manny Pacquiao's journey in sports is very exceptional, he is undoubtedly better than Inoue, he fights anyone and beats them. I never remember anyone who challenges him that he did not fight, he is humble in personal but a beast in the ring. Casimero is a champion, Inoue should unify with him if he is confident that he can beat Casimero, if not, there will be a lot of excuses and it's easy to use the words "it depends on my promoter".

Looks like Bob Arum wants to save the fight against Casimero as Inoue's last fight, and before that, he would make Inoue fight a fighter that he knows he can easily beat while people are still urging Inoue to fight Casimero. I don't know, there's no pride in boxing anymore, it's not the fans tha are followed, it's the promoters will to make more money and make their asset a cash cow.

Just read this on social media and it seems that this tweet exchange of Tete and Inoue confirmed that this fight between Inoue and Casimero won't push through. Damn, Bob Arum is up to something and would not let his future cash cow's career be dented by Casimero  Smiley.

snip

So with the above statement of Inoue, i have to lock this thread for good in a few hours.

So it turns out that Bob Arum wont really let Inoue for him to fight Casimero. Is it that theyre afraid that Casimero would able to beat him? or they do really just letting the hype even more deeper to sale more tickets?

It seems that Inoue is really that interested but as long the management or promoter doesnt say so then he wont really have any choice but to deal with it.

Probably this is what Bob Arum wants from Inoue, not let him fight Casimero for now and look to cherry pick fighters can Inoue can beat, specially American boxer so that he can continue with the hype train and let Donaire and Casimero beat each other up before facing Inoue. That is a business move, because if by chance Casimero pull a surprise win, Inoue's stock will go down because of that lost. Yes, a rematch can be done, but for sure he will get less money.

@Kemarit. However, there are no opponents for Inoue that Bob Arum can sell the fans in bantamweight unless it is versus Nonito Donaire or Casimero. I reckon the best plan to milk Inoue would be to fight Casimero, Donaire then move up to super bantamweight.

I guess Bob Arum should understand that there are only few fighters in the division that could give a good fight to Inoue and would give the fans the real entertainment they are looking for. Casimero is waiting, so why look for another fighter when one of the best is already in front of you, if this is all about money then boxing would be boring and maybe it's time that Inoue will consider changing his promoter if he wants real success in his career.

This is the first time I saw a fighter saying that he wants an immediate fight to a challenger but suddenly things change because the promoter came in because he realize his cash cow's future might be in danger.
In a way I understand what promoters try to do, after all they need to protect their fighters, their reputation and their legacy so it makes sense that they look for fights in which their fighter has all the advantages, however what fans want more than anything is to see the best fighting each other as that is when we see the best fights, so as you can see our interests run opposite to each other but since we do not have direct influence over what happens like promoters do then what we want is often not at the center of the discussions, and this is why we see fighters avoiding each other for years.

Promoters like Trump is what makes boxing dull right now, they have a saying in boxing to be a man you have to beat the man, these boxers cannot go on or establish their legacy if they fight patsies and avoid fighters who are their equal, the Casimero - Inoue cannot be avoided it will have to happen promoters cannot stop it because both boxers want and the whole community as well.

It is also possible that Arum realizes that Casimero is really a dangerous opponent for Inoue that might derail his plan for the kid  Smiley.

Maybe this big break give him a peace of mind to realize that casimero is no joke, Inoue's got a very good ranking and it might be destroyed by Casimero, he is thinking of his possible future cash cow, lol... if Inoue will be beaten, his face value will drop, meaning less money for Arum.  Grin

Hahaha. Possible, we all know how Arum works, as an experienced boxing manager we all know how he cherry picks his opponent against his cash cow. So this angle could be true, Casimero a live dog and possible to pull an upset against the so called monster from Japan.

So wise move for him, we might see them square off in the future though as long as Casimero will continue his winning wins defend his belt against good opponents and definitely it will still make a lot of money for both of them and make sense for Arum to set it up.

I don't see anyone who could match a prime Casimero right now, it's only either Casimero or Donaire, but they have not signed the contract yet. Casimero's goal is to be the reigning champion in his decision and I hope there's a rule from the boxing organization to force a boxer to unify their belt.

That's why a lot of fighters leave under the promotion of Bob Arum because he wants to control the fighter and does not give them the fight that they want.  Manny Pacquiao's career is very successful because of Bob Arum but he has to left bob arum so he can fight anyone he likes and maybe that's the reason why he became the 8th division world champion. If Inoue would like to follow the footsteps of Manny Pacquiao he should always accept any challenges as long as it in his division, no excuses.
For sure he would if he do find out that it is really way too strict on selecting out possible opponents but it seems he isnt prepared on doing that for now but i wont be surprised if he would really making out some
decision on leaving Arum.

Thanks, @Japinat for the heads up.

Unlocking this thread as the talks of this matchup is in the wave because Inoue himself has posted in his Twitter account that he wants a Casimero fight asap because he wants to punish Casimero inside the ring for antics the latter has thrown at him hehe.

This matchup is more likely to happen than Inoue vs Donaire or Casimero vs Donaire, just my thought.

Yeah, it seems that everything is on the hands of Bob Arum now. And since Inoue is one of his cash cow and wanted to be the next Manny Pacquiao, I'm sure he will not pitted it against Donaire or Casimero right now. Although Inoue hinted that he wanted to have Casimero as his next fight, it will have to wait. Arum will milk Inoue as long as he can before he will put a fight against a dangerous Casimero. Although I think Inoue will edge Casimero prime for prime.

It seems that there's some light that this fight will push through as Arum is changing his mind. All the Inoue camp would do is to bring their fighter in the American soil. No problem for Casimero as he is hooked up on his rented apartment in Las Vegas Nevada.

July 25, 2020, same venue is the target date. Let's cross our fingers that this fight will push through. This may not be attracted to some as this is on the lower weight but for Filipino fight fans, this is one hell of a fight we are waiting for lol.

Quote
Clarity may come with international matchmaker and Casimero’s Vegas caretaker, Sean Gibbons, who is brokering a deal with Inoue’s handler, Akihiko Honda, to materialize the Japanese champion on American soil in June.

Casimero all set for July fight

They are pushing the fight to happen but with no fans in the stadium, I guess this will be the trend in the coming months just to make a fight happen.
Casimero and Inoue fight is a fight worth watching for, so what Arum said in the past that this fight will not happen is not true.  Grin

The fight has been postponed because of the pandemic but Arum already has a new opponent for Casimero since Casimero is already in the US Speaking to Boxing Scene, Arum named American Joshua Greer as a possible challenger for Casimero, who holds the WBO bantamweight championship.

This is going to be a good fight since they are both champion

I don't know, he already set up the fight and I think he knows that Inoue can beat Casimero. And if that is the case, then it could really put Inoue's name on the map and be the cash cow. Probably Arum sense that it's really better to move the fight and let Casimero have this sort of get busy fight and for sure the fight are going to be push later.

This Inoue vs Casimero fight is born out of influence. Inoue is to fight his mandatory challenger Dasmariñas which is also a Filipino but it is shelved when MP's top honcho Sean Gibbon's struck a deal with Top Rank to pit Inoue against Casimero. Top Rank had just recently signed Inoue under their promotion after he won against Donaire, so they have not gotten anything yet from him. Japan is a rich country and if they can groom Inoue just like that of Manny, imagine the money that will flow on Top Rank's cash registry.

Inoue is the future cash cow of Arum and maybe he realizes that Quadro Alas is no joke of an opponent for his prodigy lol.
