I think that any boxers will enter the weight loss phase every time they have an upcoming fight, we don't have to worry about Fury being fat because we know that he is going to loss that before going in and it is just a signing and there is no official date yet so there is still a lot of time to burn those.

But there is no exact fight date and Fury is already slim. Quite unexpected to see him like that. He is usually either fat on the fight day, or fat during week/months. Fury is usually belly-kind-a-fighter. But on tweeter photos he looks slim.

You know, a Fury's form will be an important factor in their fight. If he would be as fat as he was in November 2015, after victory over Klitschko, then he might have some troubles with Joshua.

I tried to check his form in instagram, but Fury has removed all of his pictures. Perhaps he is preparing for the fight. Perhaps not  Grin Just check how slim he is right now. Cheeks has left his face Cheesy

I was hoping the thread would have got around 50 votes in the poll so far but we are at 35.

The overwhelming majority of voters here are going for Fury to beat Joshua twice and that speaks volumes about both fighters.
This is understandable especially with the demonstration Fury gave against Wilder, however even if I think Joshua will lose he will give a better fight than Wilder, Wilder is a one trick pony, he has a tremendous punching power but he needed certain conditions in order to unleash his full power, Fury realized he needed a lot of space to do so and that is why he was over him all the fight and easily beat him, Joshua is a more complete fighter and I expect a better fight from him, but Fury should still be the overwhelming favourite.

Joshua more than made up for his loss to Ruiz by dismantling him by outclassing him in the rematch, that cannot be denied but what Fury did to Wilder was fantastic and on a completely different level.

We have seen some upsets and Joshua has the tools to beat Fury. I think this is more of a mental game now, the fighter with the bigger heart have a high chance of winning. Although Fury is the favourite because of his demolition of Wilder, Joshua was proven himself as well when he extract his revenge against Ruiz Jr. So that alone tells us that Joshua has the heart of a champion.
If you talk about the heart of a champion Tyson Fury already displayed that, when you are against the fence how you overcome that and Fury showed in the first fight against Wilder when he was down and how he recovered and countered his attack and Joshua when he was against the fence against Ruiz he was not able to make any changes and showed the heart of a champion in the fight, in the rematch he won but not during the fight.

1st & 2nd Fight: Joshua, that's my vote.

No one voted for that because all you guys in favor of Fury, well, let me vote for that as Joshua is also a legit champion.
Fury was impressive in the 2nd fight vs Wilder but Wilder looks exhausted, maybe Joshua is different and he can beat the gypsy king.

Unpopular opinion but why not?

Thank you for your vote and comments. We all know Joshua is a legitimate champion and he deserves to be. We all also know it is boxing and at the end of the day anything can happen in the ring when two champions meet but the majority of analysts seem to be sure Fury will dominate Joshua.

I am looking forward to the fight  Smiley

but this is only us I don't know the experts if they will also unanimously favor Fury.

Experts would always say that Fury will win, it's not all about betting though.

There are experts analysts who always favor the best fighter per record and as we can see between these 2 fighters, Fury has the best record since he is undefeated and beat the fighter with the highest KO ratio.

while thinking what to vote I'm thinking that Joshua did a great job on his two last fight but Fury shows a lot when he beat Wilder decisively, and yes I am right Fury is the favorite of the majority here and it shows with a huge 81% vote, but this is only us I don't know the experts if they will also unanimously favor Fury.

Bringing a new trainer or team member to assist in an already established group of highly focused people will create problems. Either a new member (be it Mayweather or anyone else) should have entered the training camp from day one to minimise disruption or should not enter at all.
The dates are not fixed yet and if they want to consider that there is enough time for the fight then there is no problem in adding extra coaching staff and many fighters have done that in the past to have additional input as an assisting coach and the head coach remains the same.

If the government gives the permission the fight will take place in Wembley Stadium with full capacity according to Eddie Hearn and the offer stands from Arab nations as well to host the fight.
Full capacity?

It sounds impossible unless if this entire covid problem would be resolved then we would see such thing but if not then we would really be still having that similar arrangement where
only a few audience and staffs would really be the only one inside the venue.

We cant deny that it is much better to look up this fight when crowd is there.I missed those good old days.
Towards the fight then I would be rooting for Fury on here.

So how is the situation in UK and whether the government will give permission to carry on with the fight in full capacity and i believe that the stadium has a capacity of around 100,000 people and i do not think they will allow to fill half the stadium let alone the full stadium until the government somehow magically control and isolate the virus Tongue. The best bet will be to take the Saudi bid and conduct the fight and by the time of rematch hope that the situation will be back to normal and it can take place in Wembley stadium with full capacity crowd.

You have a point though, why would they add new member when Joshua is going great in his previous fights, in fact he loss once in his career and he was also able to avenge is loss afterward, so for me he still looks undefeated which he can certainly match with Fury. He should trust his current staff though, just saying.

Assuming he is serious then this is not a good idea, Mayweather is a great defensive fighter but the difference in reach and power of the heavyweight division does not make his style viable at that level, do you remember a boxing fighter with a style like his? Even Muhammad Ali had to eventually learn how to take and tank hits as it was impossible to keep evading as a single shoot from the likes of Foreman could have taking him out if one slipped through his guard.

Mayweather will teach a fighter how to score and run and to be quick, I guess Joshua is not quick, well obvious because they are heavyweight fighters but if we compare him to Fury, I guess Fury has a better ring movement and a good ring IQ as well, all the edge is only Fury so let's see what preparation Joshua is doing, and I think hiring Mayweather is just another experiment, who knows it would work.  Smiley

I am disappointed this thread received just 30 votes in the poll. I hope we can get to the 50 votes mark soon  Wink

50 votes is an easy target once they will finalized the date of this fight and started promoting and hyping this one, this is one big fight that boxing hardcore fans are waiting for.

I've read an article lately that Mayweather Jr offered his services to help train Joshua into this fight and i would not be surprised if Mike Tyson would do the same  Smiley.

I just do not see another trainer or mentor being allowed in to a boxing camp when a team is already assembled for a big fight such as this. Fury and Joshua have their trainers and their entourage worked out so whether Mayweather or another fighter is being mentioned in reality it is very unlikely they will be involved.

Good for Joshua as he really need to train hard here, it's the world vs him in this fight as we can see in the result of the poll.
