I am glad they showed sportsmanship in the end. Ryan congratulated Tank and he said he really respected him and that might be one of the reasons why he lose. He respected him too much, he said.
Both boxers did a good job by using social media as their promotion venue, I bet they made quite a lot of money because of that.

After all, this is all just a sports game and nothing personal because they get up there to show the world who's the strongest boxer that night and the result was amazing because as most fans expected it to happen. It's better luck next time for Garcia and he should probably fight some boxers that are not at Davis's level if he wanted to slowly recover and get back inside the ring with confidence after suffering from his first lost.

I'm curious now if Ryan Garcia will continue test his luck in super-light because it already seems that 130 pounds is not for him, because if he can't get through Davis then it is somehow assumable that he can't also defeat the current undisputed, Devin Haney and the guys under him. That was a good acid test for Ryan Garcia, he still deserve some credit because it's really not easy confronting the Tank Davis.

If you happen to watch the post interview of Ryan Garcia, he stated that he plans to move on to 140 lbs.  It is plain to see that his physical growth cannot sustain his current weight division so he needs to move up in order to maximize his potential.

Ryan Garcia still needs a lot to be a force to reckon on the upper division.  His recent fight shows that he is still not that experienced in taking elite fighters.  He still needs a lot of experience and trained many skills to have a good chance of dominating the competition.  Davis had exposed his weakness so it is better for Garcia to add more skills to his arsenal.  He should work for varieties of punches, movement, ring IQ and many more.  Boxing is not only dominated by physical advantage but also by tactical strategy (see Mayweather).

He just fell in love with his one punch knock out, which is the left hook. But Davis took it and play good defense. So yes, he really exposed weaknesses of Ryan and it was not even address though. I mean he still doesn't have that head and foot movement. I guess it's hard to teach old dogs a new trick.

Nevertheless, he already says that 140 lbs is his next target, so we will see if he can fit there. Recently it was Teo Lopez who moved up to that weight class and will challenge Josh Taylor for the belt. So there's a lot of dog fighters as well in 140 lbs that will make his moving up in weight a difficult one because of those elite fighters waiting for him.

If it's about bravery then he truly deserved that praise because he fought Davis fair and square without any hint that he's afraid of the outcome. You're right, his path now will be more challenging because Davis exposed his weakness, Campbell might give the first hint but Davis is the one who totally laid it out to for the information of public and other boxers in the industry. He should be more prepared next time and improve whatever he lacks because he already have the much needed offense, time for him to reflect on his mistakes so that he can bounce back in his next fight.
Prepared means Ryan Garcia cannot only rely on his left hook anymore. I think his camp realized that after this fight against Tank Davis. That left hook could sure be deadly but his right hand is idle and that should be studied by watching the tape again.
Davis was right, what else does he have except for the left hook? All Davis did was stick on the left side of Garcia and his hook was shut down. There was even a time his left was punching in the air while Davis was going to his left side.
Garcia is young and he can learn more, this fight is a good experience for him, and now he knows there is still a big room for improvement and the gap between him and Davis is still not yet close. Train more, be a better boxer, and come back when he feels like he filled that gap. Davis said in the post-fight interview that he will keep on defending the belt. Garcia will have his shot again but not in a year or two.

We can only praise him for his bravery. And while it seems there will be no rematch for him. It's too early to end his career so one option is just to do exactly like that. But now that it's seen how vulnerable he can be, he will be battered here and there.

He'd have to work out more because the door just opened. He will be tested in the heavier class, the real world awaits.

End of the day both will receive their paychecks, I really enjoy both fighters trying to win over another, just so happened that a solid counter from Davis is something that Garcia can't handle, there's nothing he can do about it and glad to hear that he admits that despite of those many trash talks he said he respected Davis.

Time to move forward and try to slowly comeback, if it's possible for Garcia to take it slow and find a fight that might bring his confidence back before aiming for another champ to fight him.

Got mine for Tank Davis to win by a way of TKO @ 2.25 and threw some few spares for Tank to win via decision @ 7.5 because it's really tempting me as we never know what will happen in the fight later, but I know Tank will prevail. That said, I just don't see a way for Ryan Garcia to win this fight, not underestimating him but what he got is just the size difference over Davis and other than that, it's all on Davis.

Congrats to us we won Gervonta Davis really prevail over Ryan Garcia it was really imminent that Ryan Garcia has a chance but he doesn't capitalize on it because he knows that Davis is exceeding his score every single minute of the fight, well Tank Davis have capitalized so much in striking Garcia's body because he knew that it will be very effective because Ryan Garcia is in a catch weight and was rehydrated the time they fight, I think that is the only controversial about this fight but it was a clean win for Tank Davis,

Here are the result of my picks

Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov VS Joseph Cordina ROUND 12 DECISION - LOST

The Headbutt was flying in the 1st round and the referee has given a technical to Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov, by the referee, we can see that at the start of the fight Rakhimov was really aggressive towards Cordina while Joseph Cordina has his composure intact for me I have bet for Rakhimov because he was really aggressive and have a huge strength with his punching, but the fight IQ of Joseph Cordina was really shown in this fight and he was pretty much using his reach and height advantage towards this fight,

Gervonta Davis VS Ryan Garcia ROUND 7 KO/TKO - WIN

It was a legit win for Gervonta "Tank" Davis it was really imminent that Ryan Garcia would lose this because it was a catchweight fight for him so he needed to lose weight and a catchweight of 136-lb and if that wasn't enough Ryan Garcia's management accepted the 10-lb rehydration clause well Tank Davis camp was trying to weaken Ryan Garcia, before the fight but on the fight with Gervonta Davis, Davis was really aiming a body shot because that would surely hurt Garcia the most because of the catchweight he did, that has truly hurt and weakened Ryan Garcia, on the 1st knockout Gervonta Davis still kept his composure and still went on with their game plan, it was really imminent that Gervonta Davis fight IQ was really high while Ryan Garcia was chasing the score cards,

Gervonta Davis VS Ryan Garcia

The stake odds for this fight are 1.42 for Davis and 2.95 for Garcia for this fight Garcia is taller and has the reach advantage and surely got that fast punch that he dubs as a ghost punch, for sure Gervonta will likely be caught by it, but for me, Gervonta Davis is wittier than Garcia he will not engage in a fight he can not surely win those technique and skill those counter from Davis is more devastating than those ghost punch from Garcia so for me my pick is Gervonta Davis,

Congratulations on your win. He did knock out Ryan Garcia by means of a liver punch and he didn't get up in 10 counts. He said he cannot breathe at all and I do believe even if he stand up, he will just hurt himself again because Tank Davis will smell the blood and attack him all over the body.
It's a good 7 rounds fight and boxing superstars watching it in Las Vegas made it feel like it's really an important match to happen.

If Ryan Garcia is able to maintain his distance and made his jobs and straight very effective, there is a huge chance for him to win the fight.  But we all know with how fast and quick Gervonta Davis is, it is quite hard for Ryan Garcia to execute such a strategy unless he can dance with Gervonta Davis and out-tempo him.  Ryan Garcia can protect his not-so-tough chin with the said strategy.

But still, everything is just an assumption, speculation, and prediction.  We still have to watch how the fight unfolds and in boxing, everything is uncertain until the match finishes.

I really think Gervonta Davis is pretty much aware of that strategy that the experience he built through his career will surely carry him to Victory there are some punches that may enter Gervonta's guard but I think that is what he likes for his counter to be very effective but Ryan Garcia has his ghost punch that Davis will need to look out for,

Safe to say that Gervonta Davis's camp is already aware of everything that could happen even before we had the chance to discuss it in here. I mean, all the possible scenarios that Ryan Garcia might execute are already expected by them and for them, what's new, this is not the first time for Davis to fight someone like Garcia who does have the power and even the size advantage.

They are both aware of each other's advantages so if Tank can do something about Ryan's reach and speed, he better be stealthy because it's not just him that has the experience.

Everyone will be watching this fight. Tank who had a long reign in the division almost no exciting boxer to be match to him in the division until Ryan. If in the politics of boxing, Ryan is set up to dethrone Tank. It's a risky bet but to make it 3x, a small amount will be fun.

I'm observing where the money is going in this fight and it seems that last minutes bet are putting into Ryan, now 2.90 is one of my favorite sport bookies. Maybe they see him that confident going into this fight after the weigh-in and he really seems to be ready on this fight.

On the other hand, Davis is almost a pound below the limit of 136 lbs. And I remember Ryan saying that Davis looks weight drain. So for me, Ryan won the psychological battle here that's why Tank pushes him in the final weigh-in.

Honestly I'm rooting for Rakhimov since he previously have defended his IBO title for 3 times before. Cordina seems to be favorited because he have won IBF title in his last fight. Both of them are undefeated, but Rakhimov has a better KO rate than Cordina.

The sports bookie list Rakhimov as an underdog in this fight, if you bet him to win in the moneyline option, the odds is 3.30.

I was amazed that Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov, was the underdog but well I can not blame them because Joseph Cordina, has really won the IBF title belt, but yeah I can feel that Rakhimov has a lot to show us, surely I can see from his style even though Cordina has a very difficult style aswell I really think that Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov is a knockout artist that has power on his punches, for me, this is pretty imminent in his record, right now I think that is the most decent odds that I see and it is great if you are rooting for Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov,

Here are my picks for the upcoming fight tomorrow,

Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov VS Joseph Cordina

The stake odds for this fight are 3.15 for Rakhimov and 1.39 for Cordina for this fight I can see that Joseph Cordina got the height and maybe the reach advantage going with the fight but that movement on Rakhimov and the power to his punches are really superb so for me I am more gaining the side of Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov to win in this fight,

And that's because Ryan Garcia is talking nonstop on social media trying to prove that he could really defeat the champion and better, put him in a knockout. That is why I think the ideal bet for this fight will be predicting what round the fight will end.
I do believe Garcia will give Davis a hard time getting close by using his advantages, the long reach and height. It will depend on that one good combo that Davis will let out once he gets in and he should wish everything will connect to end the fight with an explosive cheer from the crowd. I don't doubt his punching accuracy but he should also be careful once he is inside for a counter is also possible.

2 more days, this is really getting exciting.
Share your bets guys, I want to see if I can tail one as I still haven't decided where my money will go. Currently, I am biased for Davis at below 9 rounds.
It's 8 AM Sunday for us in the Philippines. Do note it in your calendars.  Wink

Many fans surely believe what Ryan Garcia is spouting online but because Gervonta Davis is more believable looking at the odds the odds was on Genvonta's side, now with the fight for sure Ryan Garcia is well known with his speed and power I think those fast punch from garcia will sure come in handy in giving Davis a hard time getting in on him, in addition to Garcia's height and length advantage, Gervonta Davis is surely on a disadvantage, but Gervonta Davis has a crafty technique and those pure counters he have fought many opponent with that kind of height and length and he is also have those power shots, that many give his opponent a run for their money, for this one counter punch from Davis and this fight is surely over,

I am excited aswell and as I am posting this it is only 1 day left for us to witness a spectacular fight unfold in our very eyes I still think this will have a lot of pay per view,

I watched the video you shared. The reporter is talking a bit exaggerated in the initial seconds of the interview with his words, but the whole interview is still good at least.
He himself was disappointed on his performance because it wasn't a knockout win, and now he wants to match-up against either Fury or Wilder? 3 words for him. Don't do it.

He just came back after a heartbreaking 2 straight loss against Usyk, and then he wants to fight champions like Wilder, and Fury? I mean he's a champion as well, but I doubt that he can defeat either of the 2. Even Wilder who has been known for his strong punches can be defeated against Joshua (at least at this time). Overall, I guess it would be better for him to fight other heavyweight boxers instead of challenging these 2, but if one of them materializes, then I will pick them over Joshua.
I think Joshua's performance doesn't changed, he just unlucky for not able to knockout Franklin, Joshua is really dominating in any round. It's not good for Joshua to take a challenge to fight with Wilder, either he lose or win he will not get anything. But if Joshua want to take a challenge to fight with Fury, he can grab the WBC belt if he win.

I have a different opinion, I will pick Joshua here because I expect he will become underdog due to his previous fight he not win via KO, but I know Joshua is stronger than that.
Well, but it's normal for these things to happen in boxing, maybe Joshua misplayed the strategy he wanted to apply, maybe he thought about Knocking out but maybe the Negativity or the great effort to do it would not have left him with more energy , and running out of strength in boxing due to a great effort, that is something that should not be done, but when a boxer is confident enough that he does not want to,he should follow that instinct, because Otherwise he will regret it, maybe that was what happened It is normal, sometimes you have to think quickly and make decisions.

Saturday night event! A big one. The fight that we had been waiting for. The expensive one that I just mentioned above.  Grin

Hopefully, I won't be that busy so I can watch this fight. I already got Tank by stoppage but I honestly want Garcia to score an upset. It's really crazy how Showtime tries to mislead by calling Tank a 3-division champion. And Tank is starting to believe these lies when he said that he already belongs with the greats.  Cheesy

Yes, fight is already approaching near! This should be a good fight and yes, I also got Tank to win by a way of TKO.

Tank's odds are still decent but I just cannot lie that Ryan Garcia's odds are more juicy. The bookies do really know how to do their job because I pretty much had a hard time weighing things and whom to bet as this two are both KO specialist, so there's no way of knowing who really got the advantage as a one simple clean swing will be enough to finish the fight.

With the help of Showtime, it can become a reality. You know when the lies are being said over and over it somehow becomes a reality. It boosts Tank's confidence too.

I have the feeling that the bookmarkers and the likes of Showtime want us all to be on one side and lose when suddenly Ryan wins. It's just a matter of who gets to land the clean shot to the jaw.

One of the most anticipated fights and the one that many have their trust and many bets on Davis, I really do not know how reliable it is to bet on him, García is a boxer who has a lot of potential and can surprise, I think his The preparation has been spectacular, very beautiful, and that is dangerous for Davis, at the same time it makes it more interesting because that is the only way to show that many things can happen within this framework of the fight, for my part I think I will go for García despite being against all odds.

Technically speaking, these are one of the disadvantages that most boxing analyst pointed out to both boxers:

Gervonta Davis = Height disadvantage, Reach Disadvantage (166 cm, 171 cm, respectively)
Ryan Garcia = For most of his fights, it's always noted that his chin is always exposed. For a boxer like Tank, it's a dangerous thing to just expose that part to him.

However, even referring to both boxers' advantages and disadvantages, it's honestly really hard to make an analysis here on who has the upper hand. There are lots of "what if" scenarios here that can be a turning point in winning the match on either of them. Just a few hours of sleep and we will now witness who will emerge victorious in this fight.

Actually, I am really excited about this fight and I really can not make any analysis on what may happen during the fight but for me, it is a good thing because that will fuel even more excitement while watching the fight, but honestly, I can not make off on who's really going to win this, but I will definitely make my bet on this fight as well, and for me, this is one of the exciting fight to happen and however wins will surely give a mark to the other one that signify a dent to his record,

Wink

Saudi Arabia and even the other super-rich Gulf countries keep on hosting many different events not just for profit but some kind of long-term investment. These desert kingdoms knew that oil becomes irrelevant in the future so they are investing themselves in many ways in order to sustain their rich economies with or without oil. Saudi Arabia has too many futuristic projects including a city and it needs to convince people and investors around the world that it can be a good place to live, invest and entertain.

I really think it is more convenient for them that way, and this could substantially make a ton of money if they can highlight a fight in their place or country, so many well-known personnel will come to that certain place just to watch the fight and sure enough that rich investors will eventually market that fight for their personal gains, it just happening like that just for them to get rich, and I think it is a business venture for those multi-billionaire guys and the boxing industry to collaborate something and that is why there are UFC fight in the Abu-Dhabi, Dubai, and other middle-eastern countries
