We have a lot of fights in the wing, Garcia vs Davis, these two have been promising us boxing fans for a fight, hopefully it will push through next year regardless of their network. And then for all the belts, Haney vs Loma, another great fight for us, Loma used to have all the belts, but Haney's skills are too much for Kambosos. Who knows, maybe Kambosos will figure out how to stay in the division as well to mess things up.

There are a lot of great boxers now but their promotions are the one stopping them from meeting in the ring, one example is the Spence - Crawford, the boxers should have a say on who he wants to fight, Garcia has been badly wanting to fight Davis for a long time, but it's not happening, hopefully now that Garcia is showing eagerness again Davis camp will sit up and make a deal, Loma is always ready to fight anybody and so is Haney so we'll see this two going at each other next year with no problem with their respective promotions, its time that great boxers meet in the ring and promoters agree to complete the deal.

Sad but true mate, it's the promotion and network ties that preventing us to witnessed great fight in this division. Although I'm seeing the Lomchenko vs Haney can be made because they are tied to Bob Arum's Top Rank. But the other fight like Garcia and Davis, Golden Boy/Premier Boxing, might be hard to make this fight and Oscar recently criticizes PBC, siding with Crawford when he reveal what goes behind the scene on the negotiation between him and Al Haymon. And same with the Cruz vs Stevenson, although ordered by the world governing bodies, possible that it won't happen because of boxing politics.

Can be made but it's not yet clear to know that there would be no stumbling block on their future fight because Haney is under Eddie Hearn and we know that Loma is under Bob Arum, usually, Bob will always insist to televise the fight in ESPN. Just like what happened between Crawford and Spence in the recent years because Spence is with Al Haymon's PBC. And I'd like to correct you mate, Tank Davis is not with PBC, he's under Floyd Mayweather Promotions while yes, Ryan Garcia is with Golden Boy.

All those handlers are for the money so if they will negotiate and both parties/camps agrees then we might see the fight to happen, though the chance still not that good as all of them are really aiming for the favor and if the other camps will not agree then there's nothing to offer for the fans.

Money will talk loudly and the chance that fans will enjoy fights that they've been waiting will continue to rely to those handlers for both camps.

https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-welcomes-isaac-cruz-title-eliminator-i-dont-duck-dodge-anybody--170355d

I think this is a great fight for Shakur if he step up to 135 lbs, Pitbull is no pushover, the pressure and the power, let's see how Shakur will cover that one. He want's to fight Devin Haney but I guess he needs to go in line. I think Loma will have the first crack, but then again the problem with Shakur vs Cruz might be their promotions and network ties. Hopefully the WBC could be their middle main so that this title eliminator will happen next year.
I'm surprised if Shakur want to move to lightweight division, after I read a news on 3 weeks ago if Shakur losses all his belts because he missed the weight against Conceicao, it's make sense. Well Isaac Cruz is a good stepping stone for Shakur before he want to fight Haney, Loma or Tank. Lightweight division is very exciting and bloody since each boxers has capabilities to beat the other boxers.

Maybe the real champion on lightweight division need to fight the top 5 boxers before he need to move to the next weight.

He said before and after the fight with Robson that he is done with the 130 lbs division. Because his body can't take it no more. And so he is calling like Davis, Loma and Haney. And if I'm not mistaken, he was there watching Davis last fight and again said him and Davis will make a great fight.

But if he will get Isaac Cruz as a title eliminator,  it's more than welcome for him. At least he can showcase his talent against a hard hitting boxer like Isaac.

Lightweight is solid right now, lots of good boxer, pretty stack up division.

We already had that doubt because Shakur gave a few hints that 130 lbs is not for him anymore and so it happened in his last weigh-in. Anyway, not a bad opponent for Shakur Stevenson's first fight because Pitbull will get him tested if he does have the skills and talents to defeat the boxers at the top of lightweight division.

And indeed, lightweight division are getting much attention these days than welterweight because the elites are stacked there and so there will be a lot of interesting fights that could happen next year, hopefully that includes Garcia vs Davis and Loma vs Haney.

Those expected or anticipated fights might take place next year. Loma and Haney both won their respective fight and the possibilities
that they will meet inside the ring next year is already been there before they finished their last fight.

Yes, there's a high chance that those fights that I've mentioned will likely happen in the 1st to 2nd quarter next year, 2023. These proposed fights are already hyped enough to say that it will be a sold-out fight even though there's still no information regarding the fight and if it will really take place soon or not.

Fans will be looking forward to see how Loma will try to challenge the current belt holder, a good test for both him and Haney as they
can really entertain the fans with how they handle their opponents.

Lomachenko will be a good test for Haney's technicalities and Haney will be a good test for Lomachenko's unpredictability, it will be a good fight for sure.

For those who are interested on the results of the Floyd Mayweather vs social media star Deji Olatunji, it was a 6th round stoppage of the schedule 8th rounds.

Quote
Referee Kenny Bayless stepped between them late in the sixth round to stop the bout because Mayweather landed unanswered punches.

The Hall-of-Fame fighter danced between rounds, laughed and joked during much of the two-minute rounds and clearly wasn’t worried about anything Olatunji threw back at him. Whenever inclined, Mayweather landed at will on Olatunji’s body and head.

Mayweather opened up on Olatunji as soon as the sixth round started, when he finally felt like knocking out Olatunji.

https://www.boxingscene.com/floyd-mayweather-toys-with-youtuber-deji-olatunji-stops-him-6th-round-exhibition--170446

And so easy win and money for Floyd, maybe another Japanese at the end of the year for him?

We will have to wait for Pacquiao's exhibition match this December though and then after that he has a schedule as well next year.

Tyson though has one exhibition match against another legend in Roy Jones.

So who knows, perhaps we will do it against Holyfield just for the sake of entertainment. Initially that was the plan, him and Holyfield, but it didn't happen and Roy Jones was the replacement.

So hopefully Mike can recover the soonest and see if he and Holyfield will just have one exhibition fight. For sure it's going to be another sold out tickets, just saying.

Well, you are right about that, what if you want to see is that Tyson will see himself standing as he has always done, and a Tyson fight that is an exhibition, like him, he will take it very seriously, I remember when he He himself said that he was not going to do exhibition fights unless it was for a lot of money, and it should be like that, for me Tyson is a Living Legend and even if he does exhibition fights I think that I am satisfied with that, if nothing else with the movie he did of "Maestro Ipman" acted in a sepecutacular way, I can't imagine this epele that is something very good, of course, all the tickets must be sold out.

And I thought Frankie has retired already from MMA, but checking, he will be having his last fight. Now sure though if Manny is willing to fight him, perhaps Pacquiao will fight a former boxer? Not that I'm against Edgar, but who knows.

It is an exhibition match and I think Manny will welcome it.  If not, why does Manny accept a fight against a YouTuber and a martial arts instructor?  I believe the call of money will be a good motivation for Manny Pacquiao to at least think about the possibility of an exhibition fight against Frankie.  So I guess we need some time if the exhibition fight between these two retirees will happen since Manny has another exhibition fight after DK Yoo.

I got your point, I think Manny accepting some Youtuber as his first exhibition match will be like testing new waters for him. And it's easy to accept, Youtuber is known in South Korea, lots of followers and that's what exhibition match is, like the Paul Brothers who is also a successful Youtuber themselves before they "invented" this niche and now making money fighting anything that can bring "hype" to the fight.

Do you think that Edgar has want it takes? Does he have the hype, like Silva or any other known former UFC fighter? Can he bring more money in the table for Manny for his next exhibition fight?

I believe that Manny as it is necessary to have more exhibition fights, if what he now wants is to have more beneficial works is something that respect and like, but do they think that Pacquiao is no longer dedicated to boxing more professionally? Somehow I have to see that he has exhibition fights and not as a poollithic, his life is in boxing, well it is what I think, I know that Pacquiao is a boxer who has enough travel.

When it is trotted with boxers and fighters of the UFC it is very common that the boxers always have advantages, the fighters of the UFCTan enough experience but fighting against the same, with boxers the thing changes, I think that Paquiao can bring them to fight it, Because if you will give you money, people are curious to see a legend with fighters who are representative of the UFC, if you look for that I think it will give you money, and a lot.

And well, Pacquiao cannot complain, because even in Teine movies in their projects:

Manny Pacquiao set to release movie on Asian hate crimes ‘Almighty Zeus’

“Almighty Zeus,” a movie on Asian hate crimes executive-produced by Manny Pacquiao, is set to have its theatrical release in the United States by December.

Everyone is motivated to fight whether pro or exhibition match for the money. Just like the Paul brothers, they have been making a killing in the last 2 years doing exhibition fights and making millions.

Although Manny Pacquiao is reach, but I guess most of the sports personalities are lavish with their family. So I think later down the line Pacquiao will accept money for this exhibition fight regardless of who is his opponents will be, MMA or boxers alike.

True, this is another reason why Manny is into exhibition after retiring.  It is to sustain the lavish lifestyle of his family.   Besides, I think this MMA opponent is more decent than DK Yoo.

Do you think that Edgar has want it takes? Does he have the hype, like Silva or any other known former UFC fighter? Can he bring more money in the table for Manny for his next exhibition fight?

He is a former UFC champion, a more decent fighter than DK Yoo, from that many might get interested, they can plan a hype for the fight but I think having Manny is enough to hype the fight  Grin.

Not just the taste or having the chance to share the same stage with the legendary Manny Pacquiao but they are also viewing Pacquiao as a good ground to make a good money and possibly the biggest payout in their whole career. Can't blame them to try and call Pacquiao to have a bout with them because of those benefits they could have if they're given the chance.

Well, just like Mayweather Manny Pacquiao had literal Money on his name, and just like Mayweather fighting him could surely get you profit, because there will be a lot of sponsors that will surely support those fights and make a deal of money for them, in actuality this is a great opportunity for a retired fighter to get some instant large profit and for the MMA fighters that only got a handful of money will surely take almost millions, well this is the truth about combat sports it can surely provide some and it could even take lives if some ignored the signs,

Well, comparing the Paul Brothers DK Yoo doesn't have many subscribers, I think if Manny Pacquiao would create his youtube account I believe he can bust that Subscriber of DK Yoo with just ease because he is that famous, that is why DK Yoo is loving how Manny Pacquiao accepted this offer because he is a walking pile of money even though that might expose DK Yoo for not being a true fighter, or his technique is not meant for Boxing, because Martial Arts kung-fu has more movement than boxing, but this is a great opportunity for DK Yoo if he learns something from his first exhibition match, against Bradley Scott,

Right! I forgot that Stevenson have already climbed to the lightweight division because he missed the weight needed last time versus Robson, well, thanks for sharing mate. This is interesting because the lightweight are now packed with interesting boxers who wants to have their shot on the title and face Devin Haney in the end.

This is good for Shakur because he will be fighting a decent boxer in his debut in this division and I'm expecting that he wouldn't have any struggles with Pitbull because Shakur have the most advantages compared to the latter.

Yes, everyone is anticipating Shakur moving up to light weight division because there are a lot elite fighters in that division. And I would say that it is the hottest division right now, more that the welterweight division (which historically is the premier division in boxing).

But all roads to Devin Haney as he is the undisputed.

And so we have Garcia vs Davis, wanted to fight, with Davis paper weight.

And then Loma vs Haney for all the belts.

And then Shakur entering the picture against Cruz (if the fight pushes through next year).

Another exhibition fight for Manny Pacquiao is brewing.  As the former UFC featherweight world champion Frankie Edgar is ready to call it quits from mixed martial arts after he takes on Chris Gutierrez at UFC 281 on November 13 at the Madison Square Garden. He left his door open for an exhibition match and would take the opportunity to face Manny Pacquiao in an exhibition match.[1]

“This is my last UFC fight, MMA fight for sure. I’m most likely, one hundred percent, it’s my last fight,” Edgard told MMA Junkie.

“But if there’s some boxing, maybe [Manny] Pacquiao wants to do an exhibition, I know he’s doing exhibitions now. I can be open to something crazy like that, but it would really, really have to be a good one,” Edgar told.

This might have a chance and his declaration will surely reach Pacquiao's camp in no time, so let's see it soon if Manny will give some of his thoughts about facing Frankie in an exhibition fight. For now, the legend himself is quite busy preparing for his return in the ring against DK Yoo in an exhibition bout and that means that Frankie will have to wait if ever there's a chance because after DK Yoo, Pacquiao has another exhibition fight with his former sparring partner in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this coming February of 2023.

And that is the legendary Manny Pacquiao, even on exhibitions matches, he is being called by many ex-UFC and wanted to give a taste on how it's like to face Manny in the ring. But we will have to wait, he has to face the Korean face and see how it goes.

Speaking of the WBC convention,

Quote
As the WBC convention continues to move forward, a slew of bouts was recently ordered. Amongst them, a WBC title eliminator between Stevenson and Isaac Cruz was officially penciled in.

Wow! Manny Pacquiao is pretty much busy right now but if I have correctly remembered his 1st exhibition match was agaisnt Jesus Salud a 3-round bout on Aug 20, 2002, and Pacman won it, next was on Oct 23, 2022, (Haha)Ha Dong-hoon and Kim Jong-kook a Non-scored bout 2 against 1 but I think this is just for entertainment value and this coming Dec 11, 2022, he will have a Catchweight bout against Martial Artist Youtuber DK Yoo, And after DK Yoo, Manny Pacquiao will be having another bout against former sparring partner Jaber Zayani, It will be on the middle east but no given date yet, and now this I am really shocked seeing this news, that Frankie Edgar wants an exhibition match against Manny Pacquiao, which I think will be great and Frankie Edgar will be badly needing this and want a big play for him to have a big cut,

Sorry to be the bearer of a bad news, I know that we are all excited and inclined that whoever wins in Beterbiev-Yarde fight will face Dmitry Bivol next for the undisputed title fight.

But, it seems that a unification fight in the light-heavyweight division won't happen anytime sooner because the WBC do have another plan to whoever will win in Beterbiev-Yarde fight.

Quote
At the WBC’s 60th annual convention in Acapulco, Mexico, on Tuesday, they announced that the winner of Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde would be ordered to fight number one contender, Callum Smith.
https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/1241376/wbc-winner-artur-beterbiev-vs-anthony-yarde-ordered-fight-callum-smith/

But here's an another twist! Before Anthony Yarde will get his title shot against Artur Beterbiev next year, he should first face another contender named Stefani Koykov on a 10-round bout this coming November 19, this year. Surely, I didn't expected that!

That is a bummer of news, but all we have to do is wait eagerly for it to happen for me Dmitry Bivol VS Artur Beterbiev is one big fight many fans are eagerly waiting and they should not let that slip, this is going to be one big fight many will surely watch and a big income to take when both fighter clash, both undefeated and both have a style that could surely win over the other, but who is the more technical and more superior inside the ring, there are many questions that are why it should be answered inside the ring,

Yes, all we can do now is to wait for that unification, maybe 3rd quarter next year because Beterbiev is scheduled to fight Yarde January 2023. That said, Bivol will be vacated for quite some time, so he might have his own title defense again while waiting for the winner of Beterbiev-Yarde fight. And I just want to reiterate that Beterbiev is not on his prime anymore and will be turning 38 this coming January, so I dearly hope that we will see a unification fight much sooner without any delay.

And that injury could be a sign that he might be slipping already, as his body is not taking that beating at least.

But let's see, I think it will favor Yarde even more if he has like a tune up fight first before taking on Beterviev. He just have to win that fight that's it and then set up the biggest paycheck of his career.

However, the fight that we all have been waiting is Bivol vs Beterviev, but it might not happen as usual because of boxing politics.

Could be, but still Beterbiev is not the kind of man that you can underestimate because that will be your end for sure, it's still best for Yarde to finish his fight with this Koykov first and then make sure he will be ready for fighting a monstrous man. Beterbiev is already near his 40's but the man can still knock his opponent down.

Anyway, about this unification of Bivol and Beterbiev or Yarde, I hope that it will still happen even if there's a huge stumbling block. If ever Beterbiev will win, there might be some problems tho because Bob won't surely want Hearn's company to be touching anything. Bob already said that, the fight will only happen on ESPN alone if incase they want a discussion to make the fight happen.
