It's good that after Pacquiao loses the fight, he realized what thing he needs to focus on and he did that, which is focusing on his election campaign.
He's doing a lot of things and he can't just do all of those at the same time. As said, I thought that he'll be having another match after the election that he's part of.

But, I'm not expecting him to be the same with his past matches, yes he aged but there's still the power and speed that he's got.

Still, not that the same anymore where most of us were amazed back then.

Manny is no longer in his prime, what we have is just memories of those run when he was in top of the game for many years. No one can escape Father time not even the great and elite fighters. At least when he lost to Ugas, he knows when to stop and focus on other matters like the PH Presidential election in which he lost badly. And then the news of his return thru exhibition match against a South korean if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, we should just accept the fact that Manny Pacquiao was already done doing professional fights in boxing industry and those heart racing fights he did when he still at the top of his prime will be just in our memories. That is the reality because there will always be a new boxers that will replace the elites.

About his upcoming fight, I'm confused whom he will be facing because there's a news surfacing on the internet.

He tried to do what he had to do at the same time and he won at some point in time but later on Pacman realized that he is not getting any younger and should only pick one fight at a time that's why he retired after he lost to Ugas and focused on politics as he is also busy at that time for the presidential election.

Now, that he almost got all the time in the world, and just like what we've speculated, Pacman is not coming back but on an exhibition fight.

He can always have any exhibition fight after his pro boxing career is over and this guy is a truly charitable person who always wanted to help. One of his ways is becoming to get into politics to further help others in need. Anyway, his era is over and we are now living in a different era where names like Inoue, Canelo and Haney, and others are the talks in the boxing industry. next Saturday will be a huge fight that will be one of the historical fights this year can't really wait for that. Canelo vs GGG III will finally happen.

Sad to say but both Canelo Alvarez 32 years old and Gennadiy Golovkin GGG 40 years old are near Manny Pacquiao's age, especially GGG, so I think for a couple of years and they will eventually need to retire at some point because their age is catching up to their speed, power, and durability, but surely it is their own choice if they still want to fight then they can,

Well, all of those boxers will eventually fall, victims to that, getting older and past their prime, kind of thing, and next in line could be GGG or Canelo, but certainly, fans want to see more of them inside the ring but eventually, they can not escape faith,

Well, you are saying DK Yoo, the South Korean, Martial Artist, Youtuber, Bruce Lee Wannabe, and amateur Boxer Wannabe fighter that is about to take on an 8 division champion boxer Manny Pacquiao this guy is totally screwed but at least there is a ton of money involved here when the fight is finished,

I will also side with Keith Thurman if a bout against Ugas will happen soon, we cannot compare them when they faced Pacman because they both fought Pacman in different period of time and I also believe that if Ugas happens to fight Pacman before or after the Thurman fight then Ugas will be frankly defeated. As said above, when Ugas faced Pacman, the latter is not that focused in his traning and preparations anymore as he is currently a senator at that time while also preparing to run for president too.

And the age of Pacquiao back then when he fought Thurman and with the one that Ugas fought it can have a significant impact, a 40-year-old Pacquaio against Keith Thurman is faster, agile, and has more power, than the 43 years old Pacquiao and partly Manny Pacquaio doesn't have a great chin and his durability was lessen now than with the ones that Thurman fought, and add up that many disturbance on his boxing career so it is really the right call to say his retirement,

There is no scheduled fight between Keith Thurman and Yodenis Ugas yet, these discussions are just mere speculations that Keith might face Ugas next after he defeated Barrios last February in his comeback from being inactive for almost 3 years but yes, we may see this fight going to happen soon somewhere in the 1st quarter of 2023 if the organizers are feeling the hype between this two.

Yup! there is no given schedule yet, all of these are rumors or speculation but with all this hype about the fight well you will never know if promoters decided to continue this fight because they know that if they push this fight then many will surely watch it,  I think the promoters will surely think twice before getting the fight on a roll they would surely want a fight that can make big, so eventually, maybe I am just wishing but as I have said we can surely never know,

To summarize all of these, he is too much comfortable dealing with several tasks at the same time like he thinks he can handle all of them without a problem.

i may agree with you here. it seemed that he had a lot of things on his plate on his last years of his boxing career owed to being politician. so the focus in my opinion was not the same as compared to when he was in this sports during his early years. but i salute to his achievements in the world of boxing. one way or another, he touched also a lot of lives even indirectly, like giving inspiration to younger boxers and to even regular individuals who want to uplift their economic status in life. even legends retire so to speak.

Since he made it to politics successfully while doing his boxing career, and even reach one of the highest government positions which is being part of the Senate, he is confident that even though he has lots of things on his plate, he can still manage.

Unlike before when he is really giving more time to his preparations every time he has an upcoming fight, it seems that is not the case when Pacquiao-Spence's fight has finally become official.

If we watched this video of Pacquiao doing conditioning in preparation against Spence, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgm8yG7KnMU ,many got amazed that he still has that speed. But since he has lots of things on his plates, he wasn't even able to use that speed against the assigned boxer to replace Spence, Yordenis Ugas, that is not even a threat.

While on the other hand, Manny doesn't have enough time to prepare a good strategy for Ugas since Ugas came in as a replacement 11 days before the scheduled fight.  It is also one of the possible reasons Manny stated why he lost when he was interviewed. [1]

I disagree with that. If replacement is one of the possible reasons why Pacquiao lost, then it means his strategy for his supposed opponent, Spence Jr. will not work on Ugas? That does not make sense as no offense to Ugas but he's not that a big deal therefore any Pacquiao strategy should work against Ugas. He might just mention it to save his ass from losing against Ugas.

Some of the reasons why Pacquiao loses in that match against Ugas are:

- He needs to take care of the lawsuit filed by Paradigm Sports Management with his legal team.
- Before leaving the PH for his training, released an expose' that he has big information about those corrupt government officials but until today, no one is even mentioned by him.
- He did that expose' as part of building his name as he is running for the PH Presidency and even exchanged words against the administration at that time.

To summarize all of these, he is too much comfortable dealing with several tasks at the same time like he thinks he can handle all of them without a problem.

Even at over 40's years of age, Pacquiao should be still in good shape and can beat Ugas without a problem.

But since he is not fully focused on his training and conditioning like usual, he enters the ring with a lack of ammunition. If he fights Spence maybe he got even ended up being Knocked Out. I think he also claimed that he has a minor injury before the fight but stop of his excuses.

It's good that after Pacquiao loses the fight, he realized what thing he needs to focus on and he did that, which is focusing on his election campaign.

No one really likes Yordenis Ugas, well I don't know why but there is not much fan base for him, while Keith Thurman pretty much has many people backing him up, for me, Thurman got a chance against Ugas, but yes this would surely go the distance both fighters doesn't have that power punch to TKO win an opponent, with Keith Thurman explosive shots and fast combination so the volume of punches will surely let him win, while Yordenis Ugas has a tendency to counter when he caught his opponent with his defense, but Ugas also is a volume puncher, but overall this is an exciting match to see,
I tried to look up the date on when this fight will happen, but it was just said as a potential fight in 2023. I am not sure if that is right.

Regarding popularity, Ugas did float his name wider when he fought with PacMan while Thurman on the other hand is already popular to everyone because of his knockout capability and only one loss that soiled his record.
The big question, is Thurman ready? Because a lot of discussions happened if he avoided the chance for Super World Welterweight match against Ugas because of weight issues. But he fought again in February which is a pretty good sign.

Indeed it was just a potential fight.  If nothing else happens on the other possible matches of the two boxer, this even may happen.  But of course if one of the camp happen to close a deal with other boxers then this might not happen.

Ugas was out of the radar before he fight Manny, and it is to be expected that a boxer who defeated a legend would be earning hypes but it is up to the boxer to maintain them.

I think Thurman will be ready to face Ugas anytime, unless his promoter has someone in mind.  After all, it isn't the fighter who chooses their opponent, it is their manager/promoter who make deals.

Thurman have that capabilities it's just so happen that Pacquiao manage to bring him down from the early rounds of their fight but we have seen him fighting back though not enough to impress the judge and the fans, but if ever that they'll be able to push this possible fight, I agree that bookies will favor Thurman here, fan base maybe he will get that edge.

That was a very different Manny Pacquiao that is younger, faster, and has that quite devastating punch that could knock out even Ugas, but sadly because of his age, and likely having busy with political roles, all those focused on boxing could not be found in him anymore, for me if he still has those quite sharp punches he can beat Ugas but it is now Keith Thurman's turn and for me, I might take Keith Thurman winning here, he is been beloved by other fans of Pacquiao now that he also become very good friends with Pacquaio, because Manny Pacquiao is a loving fighter that be friended even his recent opponents,

I think Keith Thurman wants to fight Errol Spence he said that he wants to fight the winner of the Yordenis Ugas VS Errol Spences fight, so Spence has won the match so I think they would likely make a fight of Keith Thurman VS Errol Spence 1st before dealing with a Thurman VS Yordenis Ugas but likely fans are crying for a Ugas VS Spence fight, but surely Keith Thurman is on Hiatus now, so likely hat 2023 fight for him is more of a speculative fight or rumor,

There was talk, but Danny Garcia has move to154 lbs already, and his father says that he can't make 147 lbs. But they have been calling for a rematch because he didn't think his son lost to Thurman. But then again, it seems that Keith is on a hiatus, yes there is the pandemic, but everyone is trying to get back at boxing and Keith seems to be taking a leave of absence again in boxing. So if he is potentially going back, it might be next year and it could be against Ugas and because that is a good fight in my opinion.

If he wants to fight Keith Thurman he better go back to the 147 lbs weight cut, for the Welterweight division, because if he can not there be a rematch, and likely if Danny Garcia believes he won that fight he will do anything to get that rematch, because I have watched their fight all over and pretty much it is a solid Keith Thurman domination for sure It could be a decision win but all scores pertaining that Keith Thurman really won the fight, there is no doubt about that,

But for me if there could be a rematch between Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia I would also love to watch it, and for Keith Thurman to put a dot on that fight

Yes, it will be a great match and could be 50/50 fight. I'm seeing a Danny Garcia type fight for Thurman, which he edged when they fought by a Split decision, but it was very close that there are fans who think that Garcia won that fight.

However, that was during Thurman's time, haven't been injured and still undefeated. He did make a comeback against  a ballooned 140 lbs in Barrios and fought at 147 lbs. So Ugas might posed a different challenge if ever this two square in the ring and it could go to distance.

I could say Keith Thurman Enjoyed that fight, and that is the 1st fight that Danny Garcia has lost, but I think if these two would fight again, I think Thurman can chase those times that he is not fighting anymore, a few laps and a few rounds on the punching bag training is the only way for Keith Thurman and he will surely be back on shape in no time, for the Danny Garcia fight Thurman is in control of the fight and was dominating the shots but yeah his shots was not impactful for Garcia, and for him to win against Ugas he needs to keep on moving,

It is very possible that the fight between Thurman and Ugas will go a distance.  Ugas is somehow a defensive fighter so it would be a challenge for Thurman to crack Ugas' defense.  This will be an interesting fight between a boxer that defeated Manny and a Boxer that is defeated by Manny.

Style makes a fight when there are two fighters facing each other the outcome will always be on the style of fighting, Thurman loves to attack Ugas is more on counterpunch, the possibility of the fight going the distance between these two is very likely and knock out could go either way, with Thurman finds an opening when he attacks Ugas or Ugas caught him with a big punch upon countering, it takes two to tango to produce a knockout, and it will go down to who's style implement a good plan and of course power will play a factor on this match.
