David Benavidez vs David Lemieux result:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBcfFcgN8Oo

Benavidez destroys Lemieux in 3 rounds, this dude has serious power at 168. Not sure if Canelo is willing to give him a try but Benavidez is calling out the rest of the 168 lbs including Charlo and Caleb Plant.

I haven't seen a whole lot of speculation on these boards recently about who McGregor will be fighting next.  From the looks of his body, he's been focusing a lot of his training on getting a massive upper body while recovering from his horrific leg injury.  I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get a UFC title shot like he wants and maybe has to resort to going for another payday style boxing match like he did with Mayweather.  That seems to be popular these days.  I'm not sure who he would face...  I don't think he wants to go the Jake Paul route, but maybe Canelo in a boxing match?

After his failure to capture the presidency of the Philippines, rumors have it that Manny Pacquiao is contemplating on a boxing return so I would not be surprised if it will be against McGregor. At an age of 42, I think Manny still can give McGregor a competitive fight in boxing and this is not very hard to promote and money will be flowing on this promotion I think.

As most fans that support Pacquaio has predicted, Manny will lose the Presidency in Philippines.

But if he wanted to make a comeback and generate huge money, then yeah, McGregor could be beneficial for him and it's going to be a win-win for both. Manny can still make fans buy his ticket even if it is an exhibition match and I think that he can still fight despite his age, the power might diminished, but the motivation and the hunger could still be there for him.

Yup, that fight is surely possible if indeed it is true that Manny Pacquiao will step again into the ring soon doing exhibition matches. I also heard some rumors that he and Mayweather will have a fight soon, but all of these are entirely speculations for now. This will be only answered by Manny Pacquiao himself or someone in his camp who would say that he's coming back to the industry.

Manny Pacquiao's comeback could happen he needs money because of the failure in the election bid, he is not yet washed out but his level of boxing is not as high as four years ago, so exhibition matches like what Mayweather is doing, are possible and a match against Mcgregor is possible but I like it to come from Pacquiao's camp that he wants to get back in boxing not from speculative writers.

Now that Canelo loses, I wonder who's the next opponent for GGG in September. Will he still push for a trilogy with Canelo or will change a target.

The Canelo - GGG fight is still worth having and GGG should still consider Canelo, this guy beat him and it reflects on his record and legacy that Canelo beat him, he is in the twilight of his career, so it's better to have one last fight that will redeem that loss,
Even if the money is not that huge, he should consider giving it to the community because that's what the boxing community ask and it's been a long time.

If this planned Canelo-GGG trilogy pushes through, I think Canelo would beat GGG badly. Basing my prediction on their last performances, GGG though he won but that is not very convincing for me and I have observed that he is not anymore the young GGG that almost beat Canelo while Canelo has still that sharp uppercut and those body punches that could hurt GGG.

This trilogy would just be a retirement fee of some sort for GGG as we all know that father time is catching upon him.

Money will be huge if the trilogy would happen, in fact, Canelo would make more money than a rematch with Bivol, but he is a warrior, he choose to have that rematch to prove that he really wins the fight, so let's hope he losses again so this trilogy will happen soon, otherwise, we might see a trilogy of Canelo vs Bivol if Canelo wins the rematch.

I don't think people even in Mexico believe that Canelo won this match, I was even surprised that Canelo raised his hand, for what because he survived the fight or he still believes that its a close fight and he gets the win,

There's no issue regarding raising hands after the fight. It's common to see at the end of a match even a boxer is aware that the result won't be favored.

I believed too that if Canelo was able to show a close fight even Bivol is a clear winner, judges might turn the scorecard in favor of Canelo. There's a big money waiting for the anticipated Canelo vs GGG III that's why to put hype on that fight, Canelo needs to win.

What a disappointment! The big WBC eliminator between Kingry Garcia and Pitbull Cruz is now officially off. Both fighters have different fight contracts accordingly that made the WBC to just rescind it. In the first place, this is already a difficult fight to stage. Ryan Garcia is with Golden Boy Promotions which is aligned with DAZN while Isaac Cruz I believe is still with Manny Pacquiao Promotions and televised by a rival network PBC/Showtime.

Fight fans once again deprived of what could have been another great fight. And the winner of this fight should have been the mandatory of the winner between undefeated champions George Kambosos and Devin Haney.

This is now the problem of modern-day boxing, there are too many promotions and boxing organizations that failed to agree on the path of their boxers, that is why the best boxers are having hard times negotiating with each other to complete a deal.

We have a lot of great boxers now but the boxing community can only hope that they complete a deal and agreed to fight they are all just talking and blaming each other when there is no deal made, we all missed the old boxing great when boxers want to establish their legacy by fighting the best out there.

Kingry Garcia may have been annoyed, with his preparations. His mentality and maturity had to be postponed due to internal matters surrounding the match. I am waiting for the broadcast, friends, even for every WBc path. George Kambosos and Devin Haney despite how many years apart they are but it's very strong. I predict Haney will be better than his opponent, but that's just an option. we'll see what happens

If we take an honest fight score, the result will be much more discouraging than 115 - 113. I saw that independent experts put the result of this fight as 117-111 and the BoxingScene.com edition gave a score of 118-110. This is a complete declassing, and it is obvious that with such a result, revenge is meaningless. I think now even GGG has no desire to fight Canello - he has lost the halo of a great champion.

There's even an article I encountered that if only Canelo make the fight close, the judges might favor him as it was easy to manipulate the scorecard if Canelo shows a close fight with Bivol. We should remember that the arena they fought was the same arena where Canelo beat GGG leaving questions on the boxing fans. But it's clear that Bivol dominates Canelo at most rounds that's why manipulation can't be done or else it will be a big controversy.

After the loss of Canelo, never heard GGG having a hint about it.

This is a common situation where the reigning champion gets the win even with a "slightly" lost fight (unless there was a knockout). The challenger must show that he is much stronger than the champion to take the title. Bivol was able to do it, but still the judges' assessments were too "indulgent" for Canello, as he was simply destroyed in the ring.

He baits Canelo to come forward and hit him so he can launch his counter punches, Bivol did a very great job, I don't want to see a rematch here although Canelo can bring a different fight next time, I want the GGG fight to happen because for a long time this is what the fans wants and I still believe it's the fight to make for both guys.

Canelo has not experienced a loss for a while, so he was thinking if would be the same result as his previous fight. And yes, I agree with you, it's very obvious that Canelo lost the fight because Bivol has been controlling the fight, it was a unanimous win by Bivol and no one should protest that.

Well, Canelo is given an opportunity for a rematch, then maybe he can win by making sure to KO Bivol so it will not anymore go to the judges' scorecards.

The truth is that if I would like to see a rematch of these two, Bivol should accept the rematch,

Dmitry Bivol is always ready and prepared for a rematch but Canelo's advisors or even boxing analyst says that it's not a good idea to have a rematch with Bivol. We can't even see Canelo having a talk about this then it means he might understand the risks once he goes against Bivol again. I'm with the idea that Canelo's next match won't be either a rematch with Bivol or a trilogy with Canelo.

The way Canelo performed against Bivol, the result will just be repeated. We didn't see the fierce Canelo in that match because Bivol did a great job destroying the rhythm of Canelo. With that Bivol's strategy, Canelo become disappointed and didn't able to focus seriously on the fight. GGG might not be interested anymore with Canelo and will pick another good match before retiring.

Absolutely, that was such a huge loss for Canelo. We can even see on his face and his demeanor during the fight he's upset and frustrated all the time coz his movements became limited because of Bivol's defensive and offensive strategy plus the size. So, yeah I think a rematch will only have the same outcome.
Now, GGG might also not going to pursue their trilogy after this huge loss.

Well I'm thinking otherwise, take out GGG first and then later chase Bivol if he wanted to avenge his lost.

Fans are still waiting for the trilogy with GGG despite Canelo being defeated by Bivol. I mean the table is still there in the table and I believed it is still very big that Canelo can't refused it. Was just a bad stylistic match up for him fighting the bigger champion in Light Heavy weight.
