But let's see first what the first fight will bring, maybe it could be just one sided and end in less than 10 rounds and someone getting his ass knock out for good that he doesn't want to have a rematch.

In that case then there's no trilogy anymore, maybe a rematch but I'm sure it will have the same outcome since the first fight was already obvious it's just a one-sided fight. If they'll make a controversial decision in the first fight like what happened to Wilder vs Fury fight where the first fight was declared as a draw, then there are still 2 fights where Fury has dominated the KO artist.

That would be the nearest scenario for them to make the trilogy into a reality, that is if there will be a draw in their first bout but that's highly unlikely considering that both of them is a knockout artist and neither one of them is also willing to make the fight draw or take a defeat, by the looks of it, Ryan Garcia especially Tank Davis wanted a one-sided fight so that they can move-on towards other boxers.

Both wanted a one side beating, so that it will be over and the winner gets the respect and the bragging rights. But who knows, if they move to 140 lbs maybe they will have to fight again in the future. They are still very young and maybe 5+ years still in their career so a lot of things can happen.

And with that youth on their side, I agree that we might not need a rematch after all. They will go at it, and try to score a knock out win. With that, majority of us knows that this might not last 12 rounds.

A rematch could happen if the fight is close, yes draw could be the best outcome for a rematch. Or even a close score in the card of the judges. And then the public sees otherwise, not agreeing with how the judges see the fight.

That's why I said that we will have to see first the outcome because the rematch close might say that it can only be activated by the loser if the result is very close or something to that effect.

The money is really going to flow in this fight and could be one of the biggest for the year.

That's expected because it's an anticipated fight, I mean, fans are waiting for a fight that are both champions and are almost equal in skills. So this fight is one of those, although Davis is a slight favorite but that does not change the fact that we have divided fans here, which means the fight is really exciting to watch.

Just a correction though, neither holds any belt at 135 lbs as it was being held by Devin Haney who will have a fight with Loma.

So this is just for all the glory and respect and the money for both boxers. They have been calling each other out because they know that this fight is going to be huge, money wise.

A trilogy would be fine though as long it will always result to a close fight.

Yes, even a rematch though, not necessarily a trilogy, this fight should be close enough to declare that a second fight is needed.

Ticket sales on this fight is guaranteed as they are champions and both are popular. We don't see big fight like this all the time, that's why fans are surely willing to spend money just to watch this fight whether in the venue or through PPV. They can continue throwing words against each other now as it will continue increase the value of this fight and that would help to sold out the tickets and PPV subscription.

This fight is three years in the making but for one reason to another it never happen, but now that the two fighters show eagerness
that they want to clash this year, and both promoters agreed to make this fight happen, it could not happen if Gervonta did not get out of Mayweather's promotion, because Mayweather clearly stated that they want all his fighters to fight in the house or under the same promotion, so they can protect his cash cow and make money.
Everything on Mayweather promotions are all about making money not for legacy.

For sure, I reckon that the PPV tickets could be in the $79.99 range and then the live gates, ohh, could be well in the thousands if you want to get a better look at the fight. Nevertheless, even if we are in the worst economy, for sure boxing fans are going to shell out huge money for this fight, just to witness to young lions in the ring with so much hate against each other.

And probably either is guaranteed a purse of 8 digit figures minimum + PPV sales and live gates.

The actual amount of possible profits might go that high, as like what you said, these two ell-known fighters will be inside the ring
and will showcase their individual skills to beat one another.

Fans are surely be excited watching them throwing not just words but solid combinations to KO one another.

It will be tough for both ends to prove who's better. It will going to depend on how prepared the fighter will be.

Yes, preparation will be the key, Davis has his tune up fight, but Ryan Garcia decided to forgo of his own tune up against Gesta. So we will have to see who make the better strategy and preparation, the one with the tune up fight or the one who didn't.

And the only way to prove who's better is to face each other in the ring, that's it.

The money is really going to flow in this fight and could be one of the biggest for the year.

It appears that Oscar dela Hoya is showing his real agenda for this fight. It is not money, he wants a trilogy of fights between Tank and King Ry to collect the most money hehehe. This is something similar to Dan Larimer's ICO for EOS where the ICO was collecting money from the community for 1 year and became the largest ICO to have a token sale with $4 billion collected hehehehe.

“This is the best fighting the best, and I strongly feel that when you have a performance where you shine, where you look good, and you fight with passion, fight hard, there is no loser, there’s no loss.

“I see this fight as an even fight. Obviously, my boy Ryan Garcia is going to win, but I can see a trilogy taking place. It’s that type of fight because both guys are undefeated, both guys are young, and both guys are passionate about what they do. Both guys have a huge fan base. This is a trilogy.

I guess it's no secret though that he is after for the money with his current cash cow and that's why he is hurt when Canelo separate with him. And he even says that he wanted to fight Canelo, for what? yeah, it's all for the money.

Let's see though if a trilogy is needed, the fight should be close in the first one before we says that a rematch should take place. Otherwise it might not sit well with boxing fans if they will just have a rematch, also what is the story line in the rematch?

With the quality of fighters they are, I think it's alright to give them a trilogy, but that would not happen if one boxer beat the other 2 times in a row. Anyway, if this will be a close fight and no knock down, it would be easy to manipulate the result to give them a 1-1 to make that trilogy happen.

However, there are only 2 ways for this to be made possible. The first one is Ryan Garcia should get a victory on Tank Davis and the second one is if Ryan Garcia can make the fight very competitive even if he will lose and where he can make it end with a decision. But if the fight ends with a knockout and we witness King Ry being carried on a stretcher out of the ring, we can be quite certain that there will be no immediate rematch hehehehe.

That might happen or not really, but first let's talk about their first bout as talking about a trilogy is quite premature as of this time because I really doubt that both of them will just agree with Oscar Dela Hoya and imprint their first defeat towards each other so that a trilogy will indeed happen in the future. Let alone Tank Davis who already got a wide vision towards his goal and not intending to give his first defeat over Ryan Garcia where he got most of the advantage.

Boxing and most sports today are all about business than an actual sport. So, things like trilogy or even 4  matches against 2 boxers may always have a good possibility to happen, most especially when they are generating good income from it. These two are a perfect candidate for it. They both are a good fighter, so either one of them will never become more offensive than being defensive all throughout their match.
Nevertheless, let's all hope that they will give us an entertaining fight .

Yes, and as long as the fight is entertaining, maybe they will have to go for a trilogy. But it should be like very close, like 1-1 and then each fight can go either way, like in the Barrera vs Morales fight in recent years or the Rafael Marquez vs Israel Vasquez which I think went into 4 fights. Or even the Pacquiao vs JMM.

But let's see first what the first fight will bring, maybe it could be just one sided and end in less than 10 rounds and someone getting his ass knock out for good that he doesn't want to have a rematch.

Seems nobody from both camps did reveal and share some information regarding their contract if there's indeed a clause written on it, but anyway, I'm sure both camps will always cater the fan's needs especially if the outcome of the fight is somewhat controversial and a rematch is the only way to settle their rivalry. Just love to see these two dancing in the ring and showing their prowess rather than being defensive most of the time because they are both knockout artist.

I'm 100 percent sure that a rematch clause will be stipulated in the contract to avoid the mistake that was made by Team Loma when they fought Teofimo Lopez.

I never heard as well if there is a rematch with that fight or who insists that there should be none in the first place.

I don't know if there are negotiations going on after Golden Boy Promotions received the contract that was said to be from the camp of Tank Davis because if they are dead serious about making this fight, they should have continued to make a buzz on social media because that would help them also on the promotional side but they are mum even Ryan Garcia who is so vocal on his social media account hasn't said anything after receiving the contract.

There have been dates and Oscar confirmed it already right? But we still have to wait because there is a court hearing for Tank next month. Maybe that's why they remain silence, (this could have been in the contract as well). So once this is done and they know that the fight has no stumbling block, then maybe both sides will go into the public again thru their social media about the contracts and rematch clause, if there is.

Yeah, they already have a date in mind for this fight should this pushes through but a fight won't be made official unless there is already a signed contract but it's been more than a week already but people organizing this fight are mum, maybe you are right that they will wait for the court hearing or the result of it before declaring Tank Davis vs Garcia a go since preparations will be rendered useless when Davis will be jailed.

I thought that there were already date set for this fight. If that is the case then yeah, probably waiting for the court because it's beyond their control. But sometimes court are lenient and could give way for Davis to make the fight before maybe giving him the jail sentence.

Hopefully that will be the case, so that all the preparations are not going to be useless for both parties.

And then we can talk about the rematch then if it warranted or not.

I just hope you're right about that mate because their discussion and deal will become futile if Davis won't be granted some favor and have some leniency to make the fight happen first before some final judgement regarding Davis's case. Well, I guess they are already working on that because both camps are somehow influential enough to make some slight demands.

Yes, just to be safe because it will be hard to chase a camp if they are no longer interested in a rematch even if the fans are calling for it, so it's indeed best to include a clause in the contract. And mainly one of the reasons why both camps are busy and silent is because they are already on the prepping phase as the schedule is now running. Sooner, they will try to become relevant again if their fight is already near, no doubt.

Ryan Garcia once fall when he was fight with Luke Campbell, so it's proving if Garcia doesn't have a tough chin. Tank just need to play like this to beat Ryan Garcia, fast and unpredictable, it will shock Ryan Garcia.

I agree. We all know that both of them are vicious strikers on their own accord and can be explosive and unpredictable at the same time. The only edge that one can have over the other is who can take more power punches without feeling the hit, or at least carry the pain far longer and power through the bout. Tank Davis' chin is built like steel, and he can take direct hits and shrug it off pretty easily. Whereas Ryan Garcia is quick to his feet and can deliver punches, but is not known to take hits like a champ.

More than likely, Garcia knew this weakness, he should know what strategy he needs to play when their match happens.
But it seems that I am inclining more on Davis here to win the fight as he had a good tune-up fight before Garcia.
I won't be surprised if the odds will favor Davis on this match. Their odds may be near with each other.

Most boxing fans think Davis has the upper hand.  Experience, toughness, and skills except for reach and height advantage.  Even AI predicts that Davis has 66.6% chance of winning and the rest of Ryan Garcia.  But of course, we really never know the answer until the two fighters meet in the ring.

In my own opinion, I am also incline to think that Davis has the advantage and may knock out Ryan Garcia if Davia capitalized on the weakness exposed by Campbell.

Well, I have seen from my own experience here and in the boxing forums that I have entered and I like to read, that most of the time this is true, that is, when there are fights of this style, whenever there is more than 50% partiality on a boxer the prediction is fulfilled, I am not exaggerating, but I think that when the AI enters it is also something else, of course I am intrigued why some AI do something like this, focused on a sport that is at the same time complicated because many skills are measured here, Clearly the AI counts and calculates its calculations through its different formulas, but what AI predicts it? since the most famous that everyone talks about is ChatGPT, but this is limited.

Regis Prograis wants Ryan Garcia, Haney, Tank, Teofimo & Broner

Quote
By Allan Fox: Regis Prograis says he’s hoping to get fights against Ryan Garcia, Adrien Broner, Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez & Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis. WBC light welterweight champion Prograis (28-1, 24 KOs) wants at least one of them, if not all before his career is over, and he feels he’ll beat them all. Unfortunately, it’s questionable whether Prograis will get any of the fighters on his list, apart from the faded former four-division world champion Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs), while he’s still in his prime. Broner has already stated that he wants Prograis next after his comeback fight against Hank Lundy on February 25th.
