Quite worthy of each other rivals, I hope Teofimo will not lose his speed by moving to a heavier weight category and will be able to perform a dance and do his flip after a successful fight, the most important thing is not to forget that Campa is also dangerous at close range.
I more concern about the power though, Teofimo at 135 lbs is known to be a puncher, not a fast boxer. But as he moves to a heavier weight, we will see if he can bring that power to 140 lbs.

Yes, Campa might be dangerous, but I think Lopez will win here. Probably it will be by knock out, if if Campa is really tough he might gave Lopez all he can handle but still squeaking a tight unanimous decision from the judges.

Yes, he is still a dangerous fighter that's why Lopez has to work hard to win here. Tampa had only 1 loss in his career (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/578516), but has not fought a boxer like Teofimo Lopez, so this is a good match up and I like to see a KO here.

Lopez really has to work his stamina out though we all know that he's too consistent during his previous fights.
Tampa is aggressive and seems to be ready for every match. I guess this is a perfect match and this fight will be another remarkable match this year. I still put my hope for Lopez though.
Of course, if he didn't train that hard Campa might pull upset again on Teo Lopez and he doesn't want that to happen. So he knows that a lot is at stake at this match and we could say that if Lopez losses this one, if might be hard for him to come back and bring they hype that once he has. So he needs to win this one and I believed he can pull it off and bring his name to the attention of this weight class.

Just like Ryan Garcia, he had some tune-up fight before the big fight, so this is probably the same because, in order for Lopez to challenge the champion, he should achieve a good ranking to be a mandatory challenger. I believe he will not be having a hard time achieving it, it only take a little time.

For a long time, weak opponents were selected for Garcia in order to raise him in the rankings, I'm still interested in seeing him fight with a worthy opponent.
If you read this topic, you get the impression that two equal opponents will fight, but if you even look at the odds of the bookmakers, it becomes clear that Campa just has no chance against Lopez. It's clear that Lopez needs to first adapt to the new category and try his hand at weaker opponents before fighting with champion.

And Ryan Garcia has successfully delivered a KO victory to his fans against Javier Fortuna who clearly didn't expected the kid's speed and power and while he's been interviewed by Chris Mannix of DAZN, we can really see how happy Oscar De La Hoya with the result and he was even happier when Garcia made a statement and called Tank Davis for a fight because that would really mean more money for Oscar.

Anyway back to this fight, the same motive. This match has the aim of preparing Lopez for a much heavier name or champion-caliber that will be his opponent soon in the industry, the only difference is that Pedro Campa is not the kind of boxer like Tagoe that Ryan Garcia has faced.

Of course, Lopez is still a great fighter now already an undefeated fighter.

Campa is a good challenge for Lopez, and if he wins this fight impressively, this should put him in line as the challenger of the champion. In this new division, he cannot just challenge the champion because it's unfair, he needs to improve his rank first so he will be number 1 on the list of challengers.

Not sure if after this he would be given a chance challenging the champion, but I hope he keeps winning until that time will come.

So Teo Lopez is back, after the humiliating lost against George Kambosos, he is making his comeback, but this time he has move up in weight. He will be fighting a dangerous and experience boxer in Campa next month.
Teofimo lost that fight because he was fighting like crazy, but the Teofimo who fought with Loma and previous rivals, would have clearly beaten Kambosos. Another reason was his health challenge. According to reports, he had air around his heart that made it difficult for him to breathe properly. The doctors confirmed it. López will make history again in the 140. Canpa doesn't even stand a chance.

That's why part of boxing is the mind game, and obviously we've seen Lopez losing that in the beginning, specially the barbs that they are throwing each other. And that time Kambosos is really very sharp, not just in the mental game.

But since he move forward to 140 lbs already, another different ball game for him. But we will see if he can properly adjusted at this weight specially if the power can carry over to his division for Teo.

I don't think that he has problems with his stamina, he fought Loma and Kambosos into the distance. The problem with him is that he rely so much with his power. And if that didn't work then he is in trouble just like in the Kambosos fight.

So if that is the case against Campa, then this might go into the distance. But if Lopez can execute his power then he could win by a knockout early and the fight not going over 10.5 rounds.

Canpa doesn't even stand a chance.

Good thing we will see him soon taking another challenge to prove himself once again because when boxers suffer some serious injuries, they sideline and they will not be the same as they were before especially when it comes to dominating their opponents. Let's just hope he really will dominate Campa in the early rounds until he knocks him out because taking the fight to the last round will be risky for him since he is just getting back to fight after he hid first lost.

It's nice if he will win via KO so promoters will be interested in getting him a big fight. Just like what Ryan Garcia did, he knockout his opponent so I'm pretty sure that promoters now are happy on giving him the fight he was asking, and that is against Davis.
I have no doubt about that, Lopez is a rising superstar and he is still young, so I expect him to be aggressive like he always does. Campa is a huge underdog for a reason, so I wouldn't be surprise if Lopez will have a very impressive win since he is in a new division where he believe he would fit very well.

Pedro Campa is very dangerous opponent for him besides he was adjusting on the weight, His opponent has a lot of experience and has a good previous record prior to this upcoming match. This is indeed a good fight because they are both a good hitter type boxer but I’m just concern to Lopez career after this match if he lose again to another dangerous boxer. He just suffer a terrible lose and this will be bad to his career once he lose once again.
I'm sure Lopez has prepared for it, but i think he's still be the underdog this time as majority of the audience will likely to end in favor with Campa. Lopez has endured losses prior to this fights, and if he will not improve his skills in the ring especially that Campa is not just an ordinary opponent, then he will end up with another loss which will create more destructions on his career. Well, will find out soon when August 13 comes, if Lopez can be the new light-welterweight champion.

Lopez needs to work more after that last loss, else, he will lose his career and it will be harder to him to come back, though like what you just mentioned it's not an easy opponent for him as Campa can also stand up and dominate him, it's more on how the fighter prepared from this upcoming fight and how they will performed on their upcoming fight.

Let's wait if how the bookies will treat both fighters, then how the fans will support their respective fighters.

Another interesting fight to bet with your spare coin. Best of luck to every eye that waiting for this fight!

While this is obviously a fight made for Lopez, it might be worth considering making a little bet for Campa. He will surely be the big underdog in this fight even if Teofimo had just been defeated in his last fight against Kambosos, and even if Campa has only a single loss that happened years ago. There's a possibility that Teofimo Lopez will not be the same Teofimo Lopez in this fight. His recent loss seemed a very big deal for him. It might have affected him too much.

Lopez indeed, need to step up here as his opponent is not just a regular boxer so to say. let's wait for the odds to come out. to redeem himself, lopez would want to win on this upcoming fight. campa may be a slight favourite here once bookies posted their odds.

For sure, I'm seeing Lopez as a clear favorite in the betting odds although this might be his first trip in this division. Campa is not well known in the boxing community, I mean he is just a regular and b level that Lopez can beat with his power.

As for the his lost against Kambosos, he might have under estimate George very early and he thinks he can just work him down when his power. But George is a different fighter that time and on a mission to really upset Lopez.

This is a Campa come back fight for being inactive for a long time and Lopez needs someone who looks tough on records since this is his first fight in the division, lesser opponent make sense for Lopez. Because as soon as he beings to fight a considerably good opponent like Kamobosos, he'd lose again so he better just be with Campa.  If this ends to be an upset, Arum will put him to rest.
