I have added a poll for you guys to vote on this fight.

I'm the first voter and I voted Lopez to win by TKO/KO he needs to be impressive because he is coming from an embarrassing loss and he is in a much higher weight category, this fight although looks like a cherry-picked is still a dangerous fight for Teofimo

Quote

Although this is not as huge as Lopez's other fight, this is going to be an intriguing match because as you guys have said, this is Lopez's first test in this new weight division. And he could give a impressive showing here, then give it as a signal that he is back and then will go to "Takeover" this division.

He is still the takeover that we all know, its just mismanagement and out of focus, and because of his medical condition, now that he is healthier and he got his old trainer back, he will be back in business after this fight, Lopes will take over this match I just hope its as impressive just like all his other wins.

And for those who are not aware of his condition in the George Kambosos fight:

Quote
According to Lopez's medical records, the 24-year-old former undisputed champion was diagnosed with "pneumomediastinum" with "extensive air in the retropharyngeal space" by emergency room doctors during his postfight visit to Bellevue Hospital.

"The air was surrounding his chest wall and his heart and his neck -- places where air is not supposed to be," said Dahl, who worked as a ringside physician for the New York State Athletic Commission. "If he was hit in the neck or the chest -- a certain way, in a certain place -- he could have developed a pneumothorax [collapsed lung]. ... He would have instantly been down and unable to breathe and needing a chest tube."

So I concur that this is a must win for him and even call out Taylor after the fight

Well, he needs to be careful, one step at a time, win here in an impressive way and he will eventually get a chance to fight the champion. Taylor vs Lopez should be a great fight, though Taylor is the champion but Lopez skills could beat the champ so I might back him to win if that would happen.
There are still a lot of fighters in this division that are not champion, former champion and then there are tank and contender. Of course the main target is Taylor but I doubt that if ever he wins here, he will go direct straight to him. He will have to fight lots of boxer first to be able to get a crack. And maybe that's the time he will get a shot, however, Taylor might not be the champion in the next year or two.

Well, if that's the case then he needs to beat them all. Taylor should be the main target if Lopez wants to be a champion again. His future depends on this fight, if he wins impressively, the fans would believe that Lopez is a real deal and that he can be a great champion, eventually his time will come and he will face Taylor.

This is the start for Lopez at this division, so yeah a perfect opportunity for him to show his class and his arrival as those champions are going to take notice of what Lopez is capable of doing in their division. It could be a win-win for them, because admit it or not, we don't like his arrogance and his brandish style. But this is what the fans wanted, so this division will be in the magnifying glass because of Lopez. So the champions should be prepared that he is coming for them.

We are going to find out if he really is capable of becoming a champion in this division. He made an excuse when he lose to Kambosos, does not want a rematch, and decided to move because he think he is better in a heavier division, so the outcome of this fight will prove if he is right or wrong.

By the way, since he is heavily favored, I hope he would really work hard to win because the fans are expecting him to win so this division will have a big threat to the present belts holder.

Oh for sure, he will be careful, but at the same time, I'm thinking that Lopez will exploit everything on Campa. Probably read him in the first two rounds, and then uses his jab. In my opinion, Lopez could still have the power even if he moves to this division. So we might see that in this fight. And again, assuming he will win, Taylor for him or any other champion that is fighting right now for Taylor's other belt that he has given up.

He didn't do that to Kambosos, he could have won if he played smart, but this is another fight, not a championship fight but Lopez has a better skill compared to Campa. Being smart in the ring is necessary for Lopez if he wants to challenge the champion of this division, so it's a must-win for him.

If we look at the betting odds, Lopez is the clear favorite, so it's clear that bookies and bettors known that Lopez will be the winner here.

But if you think that Lopez will lose, then you should bet on Campa, he is a huge underdog mate, you can make a lot of money on him, just my opinion.

I'll just go with the higher reward  Grin and it isn't bad as a bet since Campa has a good record even though someone is saying he only fights B-grade boxers but an upset win is real  Grin.  I think this odds will readjust so better put a bet while it is up.

Same here, high reward that could go up to 10+ boosting your odds, I think Campa could pull an upset. Lopez coming from a loss, maybe that would still affect him in this fight and he might struggle again. Watching his fight highlights (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYpUKfIY0hA), this guy could really box and he is very aggressive.
That's really enticing. If you can spare a decent amount of your money to Campa and things went in your favor, that's really a big win. Though Lopez is on his mission to come back and be noticed again from this sport, we can say that bookies really seeing that the possible outcome will be favoring Lopez.

We don't know what will happen after. The chance is still equal to boxing, always accompanied by upset and surprise results.

It's your own take, risky gamblers will love this one, a big time profit when underdog upset the heavy favorite.

I cannot really take away the fact the Lopez's side has some motive on why they choose Campa on this fight, yes this will be a tune up for Lopez to get his performance in track again but surely they don't want to see their boxer in the losing side if things doesn't move the way they planned it and I assume that this will be a win-win situation for Lopez's because adding another loss in their boxer's record will definitely harm his career.

Of course, losing to lopez would not be a good thing, that's why I believe he will win this fight, it may not be an easy fight for him, but he will win
You mean, Lopez losing to Pedro Campa? Yes, that will indeed damage Lopez's career more and he really needed to win this fight to redeem his name and to make a noise in the new division he got into.
Frankly there is a reason why Lopez and his camp decides to climb the next division, and I'm quite interested to see what's the reason for it.

Right, this is going to be a concern if Lopez loses this fight. He can't go back to 135 lbs anymore but then again losing at his first fight in the 140 lbs with a name like Campa doesn't go well with his name. So for me this is like a must-win for Teo and his father. Otherwise, they can't brag anymore and that Josh Taylor fight is not going to happen in the future as he can't even beat a non contender fighter. What more with hard hitters like Zepeda and Ramirez.

Big names that possibly he will be meeting once he accomplished this upcoming fight against Campa, it's a must win indeed since he already move up and now trying to create his statue from this division, he need to beat Campa in an interesting way to hype his name and find another interesting fight to bring more money from this new division that he's now involve.

Let see if how he will manage to beat Campa, and what is the new strategy that he may show to gather interest from his fans and followers.

As said in the users above, there's got to be a reason why they choose Pedro Campa as Teo's first opponent in this division and I'm sure that one of those reasons is to gather the hype again to surround Teo's name because his name was pretty much dried up when he got his first loss against Kambosos.
But yes, whatever it is, this is a must-win fight because losing against the likes of Campa won't get him anywhere, and pretty much sure he won't get big fights with the big names to produce big figures. A decision result will be good enough but a stoppage or KO will be much better as a start in this new division.

Right, and it is a good pick for Lopez to be his first opponent in this division. It will make Lopez looks tough facing a boxer like Campa. And just like what he did previously in 135 lbs, he will definitely look for the champion sooner to get a belt to become a 2 belt champion. So I concur that this is a must win for him and even call out Taylor after the fight

Aside from that, I totally believe that Teo Lopez's capabilities and he can really defeat Campa without a doubt and frankly, he could've defeat Kambosos and avoid his first loss in his professional career but I know that everything has a reason why that happened to him. Maybe his greatness will be seen in this division and Campa will be his first step in the ladder towards the championship belts in the said division.

Yep it's a must-win fight for Lopez to stay else his boxing career is over like his first and last fight in this division. It's easy to hype Lopez though, anyone matched to him will still sell even if its not Campa. Lopez just needs to act like Adriene Broner just as he did in the past.

But yep seem so sure already that he would win for he is now calling the person to fight.

I did try to look for Campa's highlights, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYpUKfIY0hA

Could be a good match as both is brawler, however, this is the fight that Lopez excel, maybe except for the Kambosos fight as obviously, he already lost this one. So if they brawl in this fight, I think Lopez will still come up and maybe score a big KO win. Just a couple of weeks from know and we will see how Lopez is, if he adjusted to this division and didn't lose any of his power going up in weight.

Lopez is well motivated and dedicated as we have seen on his previous match with Kambosos. I hope Kambosos would stop asking for a rematch becase obviously, Lopez really beat him down. Campa is also aggressive in the ring so this will be an exciting match but my bet still goes so Lopez. I'm more convinced that Lopez could possibly win by KO.
Lopez to win by KO against Campa is indeed possible considering his KO ratio is pretty impressive, and actually it's smart to bet Lopez by KO rather than the decision bet because the odds in decision is pretty low compared to win by KO.

Honestly, I'm not that convinced that he was defeated comfortably by Kambosos last time. If these two will have a rematch soon, I'll go for Lopez for sure but before that, let's watch this interesting fight first.

Is Kambasos asking for a rematch with Lopez? Wow! I thought he won on their last fight, but why he is the one asking for a rematch? I don't understand really. Lopez has to be motivated, otherwise, he will be out of the list of popular boxers if he will again messes up on this supposed to be an easy fight.
It's an old news before he was losing against Haney, after he's lose any and doesn't have any belts, of course there's no reason a rematch between Kambosos vs Lopez will happen in the future. Now, there's a rumor Kambosos and Haney would have a rematch in this year. I don't think Kambosos will ask Lopez to fight him since Lopez already move to the next weight and focus on his current weight.

Yes, Teo is now on the superlight division and will fight soon versus Pedro Campa. There's no news surfacing about Teo and Kambosos anymore because both of them are facing other opponents as the latter is looking forward to having a rematch against Devin Haney, who beat down Kambosos comfortably. Honestly, I don't think that Kambosos can make a difference this time against Haney, it's more like watching again a replay of their first encounter last March.

We do have different speculation in regard to a possible outcome of this upcoming fight, but following you with your opinion, it will really harmed Lopez career if he lose this fight, he and his camp needs to be prepared and make sure that they are all ready in 2 weeks they will be meeting inside the ring and Campa will also try his best to win and shine high.

Another fight to watch out, either a disappointment or another chance for Lopez to move forward and be back on track in his career.
