..... it's his comeback fight, he understands that he needs to make a noise for him to have a big fight next.
Definitely he will do that, but it seemed like it's just a cherry-picked fight for him since obviously as we can see on the betting odds, Lomachenko is heavily favored.

Loma vs Ortiz oddsMore betting options will be available soon I believe, but getting 1.06 only of your bet, does not look attractive, so there's no choice but to wait for a little time.
Yes, as per that odds, it doesn't really attractive for us bettors, but as least we have a gauge on what the odds for the ML is. And so we will have to be patience and wait till other betting odds are going to be listed by our favorite sports books.
I would also tend to agree that this is a cherry pick, although in paper, Ortiz is a live dog with 0 losses. But Loma will be to much for the young fighter. But in the end it will be a great experience for Ortiz to have a fight with one of the best technical and complete boxer we have right now.
More on the side that viewers and fans will check on Ortiz stats and it will allow Loma to hype his name high if he will beat him with a KO. Though we still can't say that Ortiz will let his opportunities pass, I might say that he will also bring everything inside the ring, it will give him the chance of bringing more fans if he will manage to upset the heavy favorite.
You don't need to ask that for him because we know Loma, he is a great boxer and he is always an entertaining boxer to watch. In fact, I'm more interested on his next fight as this fight is just probably his warm up before a big fight which could happen this year.
Loma has been an entertaining boxer all these years and for him to fight Ortiz in his comeback is the best decision for his team because he really needs warm up if he wants to get ready for a big fish next fight. Let's just hope he will gonna finish this quick in the early rounds without getting injured or something like that, in order for him to get a quick fight in the first quarter of next year. Who might be his next potential opponent when he is done with this one?
Yes, there's no doubt about that but that is already a history as we don't know yet if he is indeed back in his old form. I'm not saying that I don't have much faith with him but I think it is much better not to underestimate Jamaine Ortiz because we don't know, Loma might end up defeated just like what happened to him against Teo Lopez. Again, I might be wrong.
Following your statement and it's indeed possible as upset in this sport can take place. Don't quote me on this but remember how Pacquiao have a higher expectation when he faced Ugas same with Alvarez when he had been defeated by Bivol though on that note both Ugas and Bivol do have decent stats comparing with Ortiz, but same with your sentiment, we never know if Loma is already on his best form after being absent for quite a while.
All will be decided when the fight start and the fighters start showing their skills, both have good reason to win, Loma for possibilities of a title fight while for Ortiz to hype his career since he's fighting against a very well-known great fighter.
There's only a big difference compared to the two fighters you've mentioned, and that is the betting odds because Vasiliy Lomachenko is heavily favored by bookies compared to Ugas and Bivol who were only a slight underdog during their fight. So if there's an upset here, bettors will definitely have a big smile on their faces as they will get a huge return of their bets with the current odds of Jamaine Ortiz.
I do agree! And besides both Bivol and Ugas are also one of those good contender Ugas replace the current title holder because he is next in line while Bivol is the title holder from the division Alvarez choose to go up. With Ortiz, I'm so bias but it's reality that if he upset Loma, the money in-line is too heavy.
