Try changing 1,2 and 3 that seemed to work for me.

it is 1,2,3,4.... on the cgminer under chains but in the miner status, it shows chains 6,7,8

with the latest firmware, chains frequency is not working.
can only see chains 6,7 and 8 on the miner page.
changing the frequency under the cgminer page is not affecting anything.

anyone?
thanks!

After upgrade to Cobalt, I have several S9's now showing 1 fan? So they won't hash. Anyone else seeing this issue?

having issues with the frequency.
When setting the frequency in cgminer, it shows differently in the status page.

670 showing 675
660 showing 662
....

prefer the previous firmware, was working super fine.

The R4 is not supported, why did you do this? If you think the problem is the fan, just disconnect the 4th wire  (I think its blue): gently take it out of the plastic plug by using a small flat screwdriver to let it lose; then the fan will be at 100%.

According to the Braiins page, the R4 is supported. Their support has confirmed this and added that they have tested it on multiple R4’s. I will have to try removing the 4th wire, thank you for the tip! Can it be reinserted without damage?

CLEAN non GPL infringing code made in Rust lang
I've installed this via the web portal on one of my R4's and am having problems getting it to hash. It will submit 3-4 shares before stopping. It appears to be linked to fan speed as when the fans drop from start up, around 3k rpm, the miner stops hashing. For some reason the fans drop as low as 800 rpm (never seen them that low) and my guess is thats causing a failure mode to kick in like it does on the s9's when people disconnect the fans to try and oil cool. As there is no way to control fan speeds through BOS at the moment, I can't test this theory. I'm in contact with Braiins support and will keep the thread update with how this issue gets resolved.

I'm currently running the latest firmware on my S9j. I ran the previous firmware as well and am having the same fan issue with both versions. The fans will spin up randomly like the unit is restarting but it's been running for days. It gets really annoying, anyone else having these fan issues /have a fix?
Thanks

Dear braiins, just a few times Bac were asked to record a video of a set installation for a visual deconstruction.
Did he try to do this ?? Forgive you to explain everything one by one to write down the video?

'opkg update; opkg install firmware' did not work well

miner stuck 'cannot connect to cgminer' .. went back to previous firmware, now chain config is gone.

NEW RELEASE: Braiins OS Cobalt is here!

Thanks guys! Appreciate your continued work, great update.

As a side note, I tried to update through the web interface, I could update the package lists but could not find any option to upgrade.

Upgrading via SSH was no problem.

So, what free open source monitoring software can be used with this version?

None AFAIK, but I'd be happy to add support to my project if they're willing to work with me Smiley

Hi everyone,

we recommend to read through the documentation on this website. There is a step-by-step manual how to flash bOS to the mining device. Hopefully it will be helpful.

Trying out the software for the first time. My other machines everything is good. I have one that the fans are at full RPM's and not temp readings... It is hashing just fine according to slush pool and awesomeminer....

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks in advance.
