Does a foreign coach have more knowledge to pass on to the team and the ability to win a championship?

I think it can bring other views of the game and approach, especially European coaches, as they theoretically see themselves as "better".
On the other hand, it also has more challenges, as they are unaware of the Brazilian championship, they have to adapt well so that they can combine the knowledge they have with the Brazilian championship.

In the case of the Portuguese, they are the 4 excellent coaches and they all coached the biggest clubs in Portugal and beyond.

Going back to talking about the performance of foreign coaches in Brazilian teams...

Yesterday, Luís Castro was confirmed at Botafogo. With that, Brazilian Championship breaks a new record of foreign coaches: 9 in total.
Three of them are Portuguese... Abel Ferreira who has been at Palmeiras since 2020, in addition to Paulo Sousa at Flamengo, Vítor Pereira at Corinthians and Luís Castro at Botafogo who were hired in 2022.

The full list of foreign technicians is:
. António Mohamed (Atlético-MG)
. Luís Castro (Botafogo)
. Gustavo Morínigo (Coritiba)
. Vítor Pereira (Corinthians)
. Paulo Sousa (Flamengo)
. Juan Vojvoda (Fortaleza)
. Alexander Medina (Inter)
. Abel Ferreira (Palmeiras)
. Fábian Bustos (Santos)

Does a foreign coach have more knowledge to pass on to the team and the ability to win a championship?

Now in this competition, there are games that are much more interesting and competitive than in European football (sorry, but that's my opinion lol)

There are different styles of games, so I find it difficult to make a direct comparison.

It is one thing to say that European football, globally, is superior to the rest of the world. That's true.
Now, looking at the details, there is no doubt that in Brazil or in other championships, there can be games that are much more interesting and competitive than in Europe, without a doubt.

Even I've seen very good MLS games, and it's considered in the eyes of Europeans to be a more frank championship. Although it's been leveling up in recent years.
Yes, I understand what you are saying, but there is a peculiarity that Brazilian teams have and it is that they do not seem to get tired when they play, for them exhaustion does not exist, for most Brazilians defensive football does not apply, as in most of teams in the Italian league, whose greatest strength is defense, however when we compare European football it is usually superior, but it is because it has the combination of players from other styles of play from South American and African football, among others, but particularly Brazil's best defense always is and has been their attack.

Nice win from Sao Paulo yesterday against Sao Bernardo by 4x1. Sao Bernardo started scoring, but Sao Paulo was able to tie the game pretty fast, and from 21 minutes on the game totally changed in favour of Sao Paulo, because Sao Bernardo had one player sent off with a red card.

For this reason it's hard to measure how strong Sao Paulo is, since the game becomes much easier when you play with 11 against 10.

Anyway, good luck for Sao Paulo now on the semi-finals of Campeonato Paulista.

I think I'll try a triple bet here, with Palmeiras, Corinthians and Bragantino, I'll post here later

Seems like a good bet.
But I don't know Bragantino. It's not a big enough club to be known across the Atlantic. Now Palmeiras and Corinthians should win easily.

Speaking of Palmeiras, do you think the coach will continue?

I don't think so, FTX has betting on elections, they just change the name to call it in a fancier way: Prediction markets
and when they implemented it it was quite succesfull, a futures market for outcomes of an event
the exact same thing could be applied in this case, but with results of a soccer game instead of an election.

FTX is something else  Cheesy
I don't know how they put this "prediction" market, but FTX afaik, do everything legal and avoids to make something to risk their company.
Legally, I don't know the difference between this prediction vs sport bets legally speaking.

I happened to be unaware of this "service", let's call it that, from FTX.
But then legally, how will FTX rank? With bookmaker or as an exchange? I think this makes it difficult to grow within exchanges, sports betting.

Is there any game going on today that stands out?
Here in Europe competitions are on pause, for the national teams to play.

Like I said above to Lucasgabd, it's hard to us know the legal effects of both. Both if you look at FTX right now, there's 2 preditions markets, for Trump 2024 and Bolsonaro 2022
But this is not a regular bet where you put money and the company will pays you, it looks like a commom market like Bitcoin for example, where you have buy and sell orders, take a look guys: https://ftx.com/trade/TRUMP2024

And don't forget, there are some exchanges who blocks cryptos from gambling websites.

Sao Paulo won yesterday, 4x1  Shocked

Now we have left with 3 games:

I think I'll try a triple bet here, with Palmeiras, Corinthians and Bragantino, I'll post here later

what is this website?
are there websites to bet on soccer games using crypto?

I wonder why we don't see this kind of thing on exchanges more often...
maybe they'll implement it in the future

Exchanges will never implement this type of activity - betting.
Despite being an excellent source of income, it could be dangerous for your reputation and make you deviate from the focus that is exchanging coins.

easy money, so should have to place a bet on this match.
If you look at the last 5 matches for both teams, São Paulo and São Bernardo. you can see that Sao Paulo has a really big chance of winning because they have won four of their last five matches and playing really good football and on the other hand Sao Bernardo has lost out of their last five matches, they are not in form at all. and I think you understand why the odds are like that, Going to be an easy win for Sao Paulo.

I didn't risk this time.  Cheesy
I'm watching the match right now and it's 0x0, Sao Paulo is playing better, but Sao Bernardo is holding, and if the match ends with a draw, it's penalty shoot-out, there's no extra time.
I prefer to bet on Corinthians with 1.36 of odds to win against Guarani, the match will be on March 24

Today is the first match of quarter-finals

I will not make any bet on this match, the odds are not good enough to take the risk against São Paulo. São Bernardo doesn't have a team to compete, São Paulo will win this match for sure

This match will not be available live on youtube, only on TNT Sports and HBO MAX (I'm watching the games on HBO)

And to all Santos fans here, I'm sorry, but Santos was almost demoted to B series instead of classifying, I told you guys, Santos doesn't have a strong team this year to compete at the same level with top teams.
On Brasileirão, the team will probably be playing to stay at top 8 to participate on Libertadores 2023.
12 matches until now and only 3 victories, (38,9% points earned)

lol ok @Swordsofffreedom don't worry. As I said in a previous post, the purpose of this forum is to encourage discussion and debate various subjects.
You want to compare European soccer (La Liga/Premier League) against brazillian soccer is cowardice lol

Wow!  thanks for the info. Actually, I didn't have much idea about it. From what I have seen by far I think the best team is Palmeiras right now and based on the points the second-best team seems to be Barcelona.

Actually, Barcelona should be on the same points as Palmeiras but they have one less win which was a draw. I understand that's why they are are two points behind.

But São Paulo should easily win this game. Now with such a high probability of winning, the profit margin really shouldn't be that much.

Yes, you made an interesting point that I didn't comment on.
Each case is different, in general they are different types of games, some may have more technique, others more speed, rivalry among other attributes.

In Copa Libertadores, there are several games that players play as if there is no tomorrow, they have a lot of courage and determination and that's what motivates me to enjoy this championship. Oh, by the way, especially in the rivalry between Brazilian vs Argentinian teams lol

In the Brazilian championship (Brasileirão) it is also similar, if at the end of the championship/end of the year the first teams in the table are with few points of difference, this makes the championship more competitive, because everything can be decided in the last games!

The Serie A 2022 is almost here now with just less than one month to start.Last year was won by Atletico MG which had a whole lot of years without winning the Serie A in Brazil and the other teams couldn't keep up with them.I think that also in the upcoming 2022 season they should be one of the favorites along the usual ones here in the Serie A.I am somewhat disappointed by seeing Sao Paulo so far in the standings from quite some years now but I think they will come back. They are missing to win the Serie A since the year 2008 now.
Sao Paulo is showing solid results these days. They aren't the favorite to win, but they have a decent performance in Campeonato Paulista and Copa do Brasil, including a winning against Santos by 3x0 and against Corinthians by 1x0. I believe the main difficult for Sao Paulo is the lack of financial resources to invest on the team, but they still can expect something from the newbies coming from the club's training center futurely.

Also, Sao Paulo has the argentinian striker Jonathan Calleri, who is helping the club a lot, with 5 scores in 10 matches, including the goal which guaranteed the victory against Corinthians on the Campeonato Paulista.

I've been checking and it's limited in some countries. At least in Portugal it is not possible to access the live link.
It is possible to watch the best moments, and even the complete games, but not live.

But it's an excellent link for everyone to watch. Even because it's nothing that a good VPN can't solve.  Roll Eyes

Oh, I'm sorry Joker, I thought Youtube wouldn't block the live broadcast to another countries, but it's always about rights, and maybe Youtube only bought the rights to broadcast here in Brazil and can't do live streaming for another country.

I was going to say that these youtube links are unreliable, because at any moment someone reports it and yutube take's down, leaving the fans the biggest anger  Tongue

But I can check, and it's the official profile of Paulistão who will broadcast the game on youtube, that's doesn't seem to have anything illegal.
Great!!!

For those who live in Brazil, watching on television is still the best option because of the delay, but from other countries of the world, youtube is an excellent option in this case.

Don't worry @alegotardo, it's the official channel of campeonato paulista on Youtube, they bought the rights to broadcast some matches and it's completely legal to watch in Brazil
It's a good alternative, and it's free.
It was good to post here, even in our country, people are confused where to watch

Let's hope they will bought some matches of Brasileirão too, will be awesome to watch for free with quality. I'll try to find some information

You're right, Atletico MG, Palmeiras and Flamengo are the three strongest teams nowadays to compete for first places
I'll try to elaborate a rank before Brasileirao starts

To be honest I don't follow Brazilian football like I follow La Liga or the English Premier League. Because to me, those are a lot more interesting than Brazilian football. So, Be soft to me, if I provided any wrong information. It was not my intention to do so. I generally look at the scores from time to time. Smiley

They are right, GFlamengo is not one of the best teams in Brazil, but we cannot leave Santos aside, for me it is also one of the best, many famous players have passed through, and they are all of impressive quality, yes for now the Brazilian League is at a high level, I think that with Flamengo they have or have improved much more in recent years, in the participation of the Copa Libertadores the Brazilian teams have been a total example for everyone, they are the ones that have always mostly dominate this tournament, for me particularly both Flamengo and Santos is where the best players come out.

Well, each case is a case and each game is a game.
This is not a rule, but we cannot underestimate certain teams, because if in a certain championship the team does badly, in another it can do much better, so several variables need to be analyzed.

For example, this season Flamengo could do poorly in the Rio de Janeiro championship (state championship in Rio de Janeiro), but it could be among the 3 placed in the Brasileirão, but it could reach the Libertadores final.
(this was just a mere example that I cited to clarify what I said above).

Only time can tell us the answer
