Don't say that joker, my team, Corinthians, won twice  Cool

Corinthians is the last South America champion, after 2012 only European teams won the cup

You're right. I realized this later, after writing the post. But it was already said, there was nothing I could do. (It wasn't worth editing).  Roll Eyes

But it really was 10 years ago that a non-European club won the competition. This makes it difficult to draw attention to other championships outside Europe.

Even so, it is good to see that in recent years, more Brazilian clubs are starting to reach the final. Despite being difficult to beat European clubs, they already show interesting potential.

And yeap, I don't like Palmeiras, let alone Corinthians, @rdluffy, Cheesy

I currently don't have any favorites. What arguments do you present for me to choose one?   Cool

That's good to know, it will be interesting to see how the main championship goes.

And today, do you think Palmeiras will be able to beat Chelsea, and become club world champions?
If I'm not mistaken, I don't think any Brazilian club has yet won this award.

I know it's easy to say this after the game has already happened, but if I had seen your post before I would have said NO.

As good as Palmeiras are, it was very unlikely that he would beat Chelsea, I can't believe how he managed to take the game to overtime, maybe were hoping to win with a little luck!? I don't know.

How are the player signings?
Are some stars coming? Or are they just reinforcing some positions?

And the opponents, this year are strengthening well, or not?

Yes, Internacional is reformulating the team a lot.
Counting on the hiring of Uruguayan coach Alexander "El Cacique" Medina, there is also the loan of Wesley Moraes from Aston Villa for a season, the great D'Alessandro who already wanted to retire but will return to the team for a period of 4 months, midfielder Liziero on loan from São Paulo for a year and striker David from Fortaleza.
These are names that aren't very recognized internationally, but that in the scenario of a national championship can make some difference.
At the moment, efforts are still focused on the state championships, let's wait for the main championship to start to see what to expect from Internacional at the Brasileirão 2022.

But... for this year they are promising big changes, starting with the "locker room".

Big difference in qualification between the year 2020 and 2021.

What was the reason why Internacional last year was in the middle of the league table? Mismanagement, loss of key players, injustices?

2021 was a bad year for the international, he lacked technique, lacked game, nobody wronged Internacional... he really played the championship very badly.
The arrival of coach Diego Aguirre helped Internacional to not to be relegated, but it was not enough. The worst thing is that it wasn't only in this championship, but also in others that he did poorly.
To give you an idea... it's already the fifth year that Internacional hasn't lifted a cup Embarrassed

But.....
Last year Internacional finished the Brazilian Championship in 12th place, with 48 points, and in 2020 they were runners-up with just one point behind champion Flamengo (who unfairly won, CBF and its referees stole the game against Internacional).

Then, I do believe that Internacional has a chance to win this year.

And how is the International? Did you make good hires? Do you think you have a chance to play at the same level against Altetico-MG?

What was your bet for Internacional? As a club of the heart is victory.  Roll Eyes
But realistically, what position would it be for?

So, Internacional is one of the Brazilian "elite" clubs, but statistically the numbers aren't in their favor.
To give you an idea, he is a three-time Brazilian champion, but the last title he won in this championship was 43 years ago. In 1979 he won the championship undefeated, seriously, he is the only club to achieve this feat in Brazil.

It might interest you if you are Brazilian. but if you are looking for the most competitive league in the world then the English Premier League is by far the most interesting and entertaining and also to bet on because there are so many teams competing for the title, and the top four champions league seats.
and I've watched the Brazilian championship series A but it's not as interesting as other leagues, especially the English league, and another problem is the game clock that makes watching lazy.

I think that the Premier League is the most viewed and there is no point in discussing it because everybody agrees to it.The IFFHS awarding the most point to Brazil Serie A is I think because usually here at this league a lot of spectacular goals are scored and I think in terms of goals scored and how beautiful they are there is no doubt that this league at least in my humble opinion is the best at it.
I think this has influenced the results of such evaluation from IFFHS.

They are different game styles. It is true that in Brazil there will be more goals than in England, but that should not be the only criterion.
The question now will be to know which criterion are used by the IFFHS to make this classification.

By any chance, does anyone know or know, what are the criterion?

Well, the Premier League is undoubtedly the most watched, but I think the Brazilian League is not very relevant because it perhaps lacks much more publicity and this is something that has a lot to do with the enthusiasm that can be unleashed in people, itself , the Brazilian style is unique, it is what we all know as the "JOGO BONITO" it has the best South American style with an exquisite technique, therefore the goals are spectacular, it is a very showy football, the European teams have another style, it is more linear, rougher and with its classic European technique, that is why Brazilian soccer attracts many, and for a reason they are the ones with the most world cups.

finally i'm seeing a thread about brasileirao, i've been following brasileirao for some time, i made some bets but after jorge jesus left flamengo i stopped watching brasileirao games and i'm going to resume now buying games and placing bets. many youtube channels that i follow flam about brazileirao so it will be easy to get data to start analyzing games and placing bets

The news has been indicating that Jorge Jesus may return to Brazilian football, this time to Corinthians.
Flamengo fans won't like it very much. They are very fierce and it will be tough for Jorge Jesus when he faces Flamengo.
But it's still not certain, we'll see if it will happen or not.

Yesterday, CBF released the table of games of the Championship in the 38 rounds, and I was encouraged by the fact that the current champion (Atlético-MG) will debut the championship playing against the team of my heart, Internacional.

The criteria must be more sinister than those used by FIFA to elect the best player of the the world, better not worry too much about it and go back to the subject of the OP...

I don't know if I've said it already, but this year the championship will be played from April 9 to November 13, ending earlier due to the World Cup.

Despite being Brazilian, I am not convinced about this news.
I know I should value this national achievement, but it's hard to believe there isn't some power influence behind it.
Will be?

I congratulate the Brazilian league! The IFFHS has never been involved in controversy, at least as far as I'm concerned. And here in Europe, if that were the case, we would know for sure.  Roll Eyes

Now, I agree that it's weird, especially when I was looking at the article and reading: "England's PREMIER LEAGUE took the second place (the fourth time in the last 5 years)"

I wonder how PREMIER LEAGUE has only come second in recent years. All over Europe, fans recognize that English football is the most interesting to watch and very balanced. That's why this classification is strange.

Considering the fact that Premier League is the most viewed and anticipated and the most interesting League in football, this news seems quite weird to me.  Undecided
I mean there has to be something by which this is influenced. But the problem is no one has any proof to back this up so we have to agree with this even though maybe we don't want to.

Do you have a link to that information?
It's just that I've been looking at the official website and still no results appear. In the research I did, I read media saying that Italy or Spain were the best. That is, I think this information is still very much on the basis of supposition.

But I could be wrong.

My opinion, there is no better league than the English one. I'm not for competitiveness, but for the quality of play that all teams have.

From here: https://www.iffhs.com/posts/1607

I wonder what that list is based on. I do believe that there are quite a few talents in this competition. But a competition like in the English Premier League can't possibly be beaten, can it? I see this Brazilian competition more as a kind of breeding ground, where talented and good players can prove themselves and in that way be scouted for a top Eropean competition.

ya.ya.yo!

I also don't understand these IFFHS criteria, in fact I haven't even found anything related about it, if anyone knows please let me know.
