And what did you think of Vasco's performance? Was it enough or do they need to convince more to be among the top teams in the table? I see them in a positive light and they are doing what they can with what they have but it is difficult to get out of the middle of the table.

Vasco is in full evolution, before the club had rats, now there are alligators invading the field.

Typical Vasco stuff, the biggest joke in Rio de Janeiro. Relegated 5 times. Sorry if there are Vasco fans here, but you know how it is... I love to see Vasco... lose lol

Not even Philippe Coutinho can fix this team. A never-ending crisis...

Yesterday was the day for Botafogo to shine its lonely star against Penãrol in Libertadores da America with a score of 5x0. After a frustrating and tedious first half, Botafogo managed to break the defenses of Penãrol in the first 5 minutes of second half with Jefferson Savarino, starting a streak of 5 goals which came one after the other.

Even Alexander Barboza, who had a goal annulled in the previous match against Criciúma, finally made his first goal wearing Botafogo's uniform. It was a very special moment for him. Then Savarino scored once again, with Luiz Henrique and Igor Jesus scoring as well.

Now it's time for another round. This time in Uruguay, playing against Penãrol at home.

I don't think even the biggest Botafogo fan of all time would have imagined this 5-0 score happening. The performance that Botafogo is delivering is truly impressive... I was one of those who didn't imagine that this team would get this far. But it was totally deserved. The possibility of being Brazilian champion and Libertadores champion is real.

Corinthians still depends only on itself to escape possible relegation. It beat a direct opponent (Atletico Paranaense) and still has games against Cuiabá and Vitória, these are the famous "6-point games", I still believe that Corinthians will not be relegated this year (unfortunately  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy)

Botafogo, who would have thought... it seems like they're really going to be champions... I never believed it would be possible.
Yes, these are crazy times we live in, but if they are champions they will be well deserved, after all they haven't won a title in years.

A sad end for a team of this size. But that's life, the consequences of their choices. If they had managed things better or at least done all this before, they would have gotten out of the mess and would be calm today.
Of course, as if that weren't enough, the situation is so critical that they are even having problems with club members.

Corinthians' relegation seems inevitable. With only 7 wins, 11 draws and 12 losses throughout the championship, they remain in the relegation zone. How many games are left? 8 rounds if I'm right. Corinthians should win at least 5-6 of these games and everything should work together to avoid relegation, such as losing to their opponents and occupying the relegation zone.

It will be an interesting chapter in Corinthians' phase to watch.

it's like they sing
"corinthians minha vida, corinthians minha história, corinthians meu amor"

if there's one thing better than bitcoin it is corinthians
the one and only club that can take it to the next level and have one bazillion wins in a row

keep going

We will have two state classics in the next round of the Brazilian championship: Flamengo x Fluminese and Gremio x Internacional. I wouldn't bet on either of these games, because in classics anything can happen. Perhaps an interesting match to bet on is Juventude x Palmeiras and Vasco x São Paulo, of which I would bet on Palmeiras and São Paulo to win.

Most matches feature most teams occupying roughly the same place in the league table, making betting a little more complicated.
You say something that makes sense, in classics the teams become much more competitive, there are fights between players, many violent fouls and occasionally wars between fans, that's why I say, Brazilian football is not for amateurs.

It's no wonder that the Brasileirão attracts so much attention even internationally. We are the most competitive (and also barbaric) in the world heheh  Cheesy

You're right, I hadn't seen São Paulo x Vasco (which is a relatively easy team to beat) on the list.

yes, some games are much harder than other ones
what about playing at home or away, do you really think it makes a difference?
part of me believes it should but the other is skeptical about it
I don't know

I'm skeptical about this, I don't see much difference in the fans. If one team is good and the other is bad, the fans shouting as loud as possible won't change anything on the field. The bad team will continue to be bad and the good team will only score goals.

do you know what would be nice? checking the data, these gambling websites that have sports betting probably have some about it and I remember there are some websites that track games too
I think it may affect it a little bit but as a minor thing, not a huge one, and maybe it affects more on teams that are simmilar levels
or on really important games

It may be, but only under very specific conditions. I think it is valid for this to occur, but only under these conditions, as it is not something that commonly occurs in confrontations, which is why I remain skeptical. But I believe that in extraordinary situations this may occur.

I found an article comparing a question we didn't even think about
https://sites.northwestern.edu/nusportsanalytics/2020/12/13/home-field-advantage-what-difference-do-fans-make/

maybe even how many fans there are on the stadium could affect win rate
for this I'm more skeptical since the divergence could be only normal statistical variance and nothing significative
any thoughts on this too?

It's an interesting fact and confirms what I already thought. It doesn't affect it that much, the correlation is very small. And if you think that he used American football to measure the data, it gets more complicated. I believe that fans change from sport to sport, but it's still pretty close.

Anyway, I still think the same thing: fans don't change much. They haven't even entered the field to play yet.

Fluminense won a very critical three points after they solved the game against Flamengo in the derby last week. In this period when they are feeling the fear of relegation, this win can have a big impact on both morale and motivation. Paranaense, on the other hand, have had their worst performance in years and have fallen to the relegation zone after poor results. They are at rock bottom in terms of morale and are in serious chaos as the league finale approaches. Only 3 points from their last 10 league games summarizes their situation. This abysmal performance has made them a relegation candidate.

Both teams are in danger of relegation. But the hosts Fluminense are in a better position than their opponents. Paranaense, even in such a bad situation, is a team that always scores. They will try to react again in this match. We could see goals against each other in this match.

I don't think fluminense will win, I mean, they have 3 colors on their t-shirt and teams who win usually have only 2 colors.

think about it
may sound absurd at first
but most wins are by teams with 2 colors on their tees

I should probably open a betting service with tips.

Atletico Paranaense is in a very difficult situation, having lost the last 4 games, including losing to a direct opponent in the fight to escape relegation: Corinthians... and who would have thought that Fluminense has apparently played a good sequence of games and seems to be moving away from the possibility of being relegated... And speaking of Corinthians, the team will have Cuiabá as an opponent, if they win it will be a good chance of escaping relegation... although the difference in points between the first club in the relegation zone and the 11th placed team is only 4 points... in this final stretch of the championship anything can happen...

... I hope that in today's game between Corinthians and Flamengo, we don't see fights between fans. These types of fights are unnecessary and only ruin the image of the sport.

No fights today, but Flamengo is classified to the finals of Copa do Brasil
Unfortunately, with 1 more player Corinthians didn't manage to score a single goal

At least I got my bet (Under 2,5 goals paying 1.37), but Corinthians had the most important chance to save the year with Copa do Brasil
Now they have to get back to Brasileirao and hope to stay away of relegation zone

When Flamengo scored a goal, I thought they could win the game, but I saw that the referee said it was offside. Since I wasn't watching the game, but I was listening to the commentator, it was hard for me to check if it was really offside or not. The most annoying thing is that the commentators wouldn't stop talking. I even kept asking myself: is the game really that competitive or are these commentators exaggerating and the game ended in a draw. Today I watched the highlights of the game and I confess that I didn't see Flamengo creating many opportunities to score goals. This Flamengo team with a new coach isn't doing well in terms of playing well. Maybe the red card that Bruno Henrique received negatively affected Flamengo's performance.

Now, something that I need to highlight that really caught my attention in this game was the following:

In the last game, the Corinthians coach used this formation and these players in the photo, but it's strange that in the game against Flamengo he made changes, I confess that I don't understand why he made changes when he was performing well.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't see any competitiveness in these championships. With a lucky day, the teams will be champions here. And regarding Flamengo, there was very little created, by both teams actually. And that refereeing in the game, I don't know.

Quite the game right ? Funny how Corinthians can score 2 goals against important teams in Serie A but cannot score with 1 more players on the pitch against a team of Flamengo who had a terrible day when it comes to football. Yea , the odds were a big bait on my opinion and with current financial status of Corinthians , I won't touch this team this season when it comes to betting.

I honestly thought that Flamengo could still lose this match, because lately it seems that things have only been going wrong. Now Corinthians has to fight hard to escape the relegation zone... the year is literally over for the club, that's all that's left... I personally hope that they stay in Serie A, I really want Fluminense to be relegated.

To be honest it was a good match, but Corinthians lost the best opportunity this year:
Flamengo had Bruno Henrique red carded at 27' and Corinthians played more than 60 minutes with 1 more player and still drew the game, without a single goal, this is not a match of of team looking to be champion
Now Corinthians is again on relegation zone in Brasileirao  Tongue

At least Flamengo vs Atlético MG will be a great final in my opinion

Yes, it will be a great game. Do you already have your favorite to be the champion of the Copa do Brasil? I would bet on Flamengo for obvious reasons, but a final is always something totally unpredictable.

Corinthians at least guaranteed a good prize for reaching the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil, almost 2 million dollars.

I agree, they could do a lot more. They would only need one goal to have a better chance of winning, but it seems that when Flamengo was down one goal, Corinthians didn't feel any difference and continued doing the same things.
