For Flamengo, the game was not worth much, the team is already qualified for the Libertadores and has no chance of anything in the Brazilian championship. And speaking of Flamengo, rumors have already started here that Flamengo will hire Neymar Junior to replace Gabigol who is going to Cruzeiro, Neymar has plans for the 2026 World Cup and no longer has a market in big European teams...

I bet Neymar will come to Santos to end his career, or at least play some seasons and maybe, just maybe, end in USA
I can't see another future for Neymar at the moment

At least here in Brazil he'll be able to play any day he wants, he'll be able to attend all the parties he wants, he'll be able to stop training because at Santos he has a lot of morals
Now I have some doubts about whether or not he'll play in the 2026 World Cup, we're almost at the end of 2024 and he's still constantly getting injured

He earned tons of money in South Arabia to play a few matches  Tongue

I heard some rumors that he was going to make an offer to buy the Santos team, like what Ronaldo Nazario did at Cruzeiro, just imagine?

Now, in terms of sports, he himself has already said that one day he would play for Flamengo, and some time ago he bought a piece of land in Rio de Janeiro. His current team probably won't renew his contract and he'll probably be free in January... Gabigol leaving, Flamengo didn't even care, a reduction in the payroll to cover Neymar's salary... the signs are there... what do you think about that?

There's no need to be upset
have you considered betting in other sports too? because even if there's no soccer game there'll still me american football, basketball or other championships going on
there's always an option for the gamblers to bet

and european championships too as you mentioned, sometimes there are some quite obvious games that will pay less but still good ones to bet on

Good to see you here l3pox  Cheesy
I'm not so good at other more popular sports
I have a good knowledge of soccer, especially Brazilian soccer, surfing (which has almost no betting) and just a little bit of basketball
Do you usually bet on the Brazilian championship too?

A sad time at the end of the year when the championships come to an end, perhaps all that remains is transfer speculation, but soon the state championships arrive and with it the bets and discussions return with full force. All we can do is bet on the tiger game lol  Cheesy Cheesy, jokes aside, I don't know where to go either, maybe start following the European championships with more dedication.

Just a reminder that the state championships start in Brazil on January 15th hehehe
These have great matches to bet (good odds)

haha thanks! I'm always around the gambling tab so it felt natural to come here and chat about brazilian football championships, gambling, betting and the meaning of life...

surfing is cool, I should probably get to learn it at some point... never thought it would have ways to bet on but silly me, we find ways to bet on everything:
eggs or toast for breakfast? put it in a bet!
are you marrying or buying a bike? time for a new parlay!

well you don't always need to go somewhere
maybe after this one its time to take a deep breath and rest a little bit... isn't it a good idea?

taking a break from bets is not a bad idea
specially now that the crypto markets are going up like crazy
That's what I usually do. I haven't felt like betting on any team in the last few weeks, although I've been having some luck.

All I can do is root for my club to become brazilian champions for the third time in a row. However, the 4-point difference bothers me a lot, especially in this final stretch of the championship!

Flamengo rewarded a bad season with a trophy and the team is in good spirits. I think their goal now is to finish in the top 4 and directly qualify for the Libertadores. Atletico Mineiro, on the other hand, have lost a lot of points recently. Now they will want to break this bad streak and finish in a good position in the league. Flamengo are in great form and will want to win this game at home and move on. Atletico Mineiro will be looking for a rematch of the matches they played against Flamengo. However, in my opinion Flamengo is the favorite in this match.

I expected even more from this last match between the two teams. I thought there would be some kind of revenge or something along those lines, but it was such a dull game, with no goals, that I felt both teams were apathetic. But they are certainly saving players for the next matches.

The champion of Copa do Brasil is already qualified directly for next year's Libertadores, so Flamengo is already qualified to 2025
This opens up an interesting possibility:

The top 4 teams in the Campeonato Brasileiro qualify for the Libertadores group stage
5th and 6th place qualify for the Libertadores knockout stage

If Flamengo finish in the top 6, which could happen, the 7th placed team could win a spot in the knockout phase

So now there's another fight for the spot directly in the Brasileirão, probably between Cruzeiro and Bahia

Little by little the big championships are coming to an end, when everything is over or there is nothing interesting where do you usually go? I'm thinking about what to do now because I'm going to take a break from some bets.

The Brasileirao will end on December 8th
Libertadores on November 30th, Sulamericana on November 23rd

These are the last games for Brazilian teams, then only in 2025

However, as I'm betting a lot on the Portuguese league, it will continue as normal since it will be practically in the middle of the season
So I recommend the European leagues, they'll be halfway through
There's also the Champions League, which is VERY good for betting on

True, the Portuguese championship will have already progressed quite a bit by then. It will be a good opportunity to improve my statistical skills. I remember getting one or two games right, and I hope that by the time the championship is more defined, my bets will be more accurate.

Thanks to everyone for the clarifications and ideas!

Something funny about the Brazilian league: Brazilian league don't need to worry about injuries when have the international break because many Brazilian players are not called up to play for the Brazilian national team. I don't know if the foreign players who play in the Brazilian league are called up to play for their countries during the international break. But there's no doubt that the Brazilian league isn't too affected by the international break, unlike the main European leagues where every time there's an international break, we see news of injured players. Maybe on the 27th of this month, the game Palmeiras vs Botafogo will decide the champion
Of course, because most of the native Brazil players who join the Brazil League club are many who are not included in the main squad of the Brazil national team so there is no influence whatsoever regarding the international break which could potentially cause injury to the players, moreover most of the main players of the Brazil national team play in Europe.

And in the Palmeiras vs Botafogo match at the end of this month it will indeed determine who the champion is this season, if Botafogo win then they are sure to come out as champions but this is an away match for Botafogo.

It's hard to me to think in this prize, 100million reais and there's some clubs who prefer to focus in only one competition  Tongue

If I'm not mistaken, the Copa do Brasil is the tournament with the biggest prize in Brazil and the coolest thing is that there is a chance to take home the prize for both small and big teams, since the Copa do Brasil is the tournament with the largest number of participants and from the most diverse divisions, with a total of 92 teams competing in the tournament...

The prize for the winner is BRL 70,000,000 (plus the prizes for reaching the final) but the total prizes distributed is almost BRL 500,000,000... that's a lot of money.

I thought about going for Atlético or a draw. I believed that the match would end in a 0-0 or 1-1 draw. But I didn't imagine that Flamengo would be decisive enough to win outright. But congratulations to them, it was a well-deserved title and both teams are good, but one was more decisive than the other.

No questions, Flamengo really deserved the title, they played better than Atlético in both matches, but Atlético did a great job, nothing to be ashamed, a final in Copa do Brazil, and 30 millions reais in money it's really good

The tradition factor helps a lot, especially because during preparation, players are bombarded with videos and photos from the past to get into the mood of the club's importance, while the less important teams are the famous underdogs who don't care whether they win or lose since the players from these clubs (in my point of view) are much more interested in getting a transfer to a bigger club with good contracts, so they don't think so much about the title, but rather about playing well individually. So the answer is yes, I take that into consideration.

I also believe in tradition. The best example for me is Real Madrid and Champions League
Another example outside Brazil is Boca Juniors, no matter the phase of the club, it's always hard to play against them in Libertadores

I'll say another example, in a final of Botafogo vs Flamengo, even with Botafogo playing better and in a better shape, I'll probably put my money in Flamengo due to tradition in winning titles

...The most incredible thing about this edition of the Copa do Brasil was the prize money, Flamengo took home a prize of almost BRL 100.000.000.

Botafogo only depends on itself to be Brazilian champion, I think it is very difficult for the club to lose this championship, Botafogo today has the right to lose a match and continue being leader, if Palmeiras loses one and Botafogo does not lose anything, the chance of the title increases even more... today this probability is 75%, even with the draw in the last game.
