Yeah I wish for a blockchain that works properly. I've mined 36 bit bars at ispace.co.uk pool and still haven't received any of them even after 4 days waiting. Got in touch with them, but no reply. It's shit 😠

Where can I find a working wallet?
Bitbar.coBoth Cryptsy and BTER's BTB wallets are offline going on for awhile now and they are the only 2 exchanges that trade BTB afaik. So mine it knowing you might have done it for nothing. I'm guessing, depending on which fork the network takes on as the correct one will determine if you actually have official coins.
Where can I find a working wallet?
That, in my opinion sucks and needs to be changed in the code. Why would you set it to round up or down instead of being accurate..? How much BTB do you need for the stakes to be worth anything?

I think not everyone Know the 5% RoI on PoS.
That makes PoS difficulty is very low.
Low diff is why even small transactions can make PoS blocks after very small amount of time, and the reward is minimal.
rounding is up to 2 decimals, rounddown. Super small rewards ale below rounding are not paid.
ex:
reward of 3.432353 is rounded to 3.43
reward of 3.439865 is rounded to 3.43
reward of 0.009234 is rounded to 0.00
POS reward is rounded down - or - the I look at it, everything after the second 0 after the decimal point (.00xxx) is dropped.
This should help explain all the 0.00 stake rewards.
My bitbar daemon complains about not being 0.4.1. It's compiled straight from https://github.com/aLQ/bitbar. Where can I get the source for this elusive 0.4.1?

I made it 3 days before the chain forked. - you may want to wait a while until this fork gets resolved.

Cryptsy is really busy - not just the wallets and web site changes, but thier main effort is with all the verification stuff.
My wallet has staked about 60 times ( around 12 times a day) all with 0.00 - at least we aren't loosing BTB.
As far as the check points, I'm starting to think it was just a passing phase, nobody seems to put much stock into it, from what I've been reading.
I've been looking for Jim Blasko on Cryptsys to see if he would be interested in being the dev for Bitbar, or could point me in the right direction. So far no luck - he must have heard I was looking

I have plenty of bandwidth, I just don't know what to do. I'm not finding anything very helpful on the Google either. If the server could run off a Pi, I could do that. I don't know if my computer can handle it, I keep 12 staking wallets running on it 24/7 and the cpu stays around 70% already, plus I do everything thing else imaginable with it also.

how do you get a checkpoint server running?
That's a good question I've been asking myself. I just haven't had time to look into it yet.My concerns are band width.
How many connections, are they constant connections, could my current network configuration handle it, how important is it ??
I've been running servers for over 15 years, and will probably continue until the day I die, so whats one more service ??
I've been planning on looking into that when I get back from NY.

Check points are severely outdated.
There is no check point server running anywhere, and the developer 'moved on to other things'.
We are currently looking for a new developer.
As for your coin supply and inflation questions, I'm hoping someone else can jump in and help with that because I simply do not know.

But inflation matters, so the question remains: how many coins will be minted over the next 10 years?
I don't know about inflation.
It's my understanding that 500,000 BTB will be mined. I don't know the current hash rate.
Keep in mind that the difficulty and block reward can adjust with each block.
Then there is the POS reward (I think it is %5) - hard to figure if you don't know who is holding.
I suppose you could study the block chain for a while and guess.....
inflation mattes, about POS it's really difficult to estimate, you're right, that's why I ask the community/devs.

I had sent Mullick a PM several days ago (1/18/2015) asking if he could put me/us in contact with a reputable developer. I explained free would be awesome - but we as a group could probably scrape some funds together if need be.
I also asked him what would be an acceptable amount for a bounty.
I submitted a ticket to cryptsy on Oct 13th asking for a connection list from their BTB wallet. (how hard can it be - putty/ssh in to the wallet server and type bitbard getpeerinfo and email it to me)
I wanted to start a new wallet on the other fork so I could make a zip file of it to put on the Bitbar.co web site - if it turns out we are on the wrong chain.
I am waiting on replies from both.

As of 10/20/15 Bitbar wallet is still in maintenance mode at cryptsy. I opened a support ticket, and haven't heard back from them as of yet. I sent Mullick a PM here describing the situation as well, and for some possible input/insight but have not gotten a response.
Crypto coin Explorer block Explorer is still connected to at least 9 peers, and still processing blocks. It may be that they are on a correct chain, if in fact cryptsy isn't on a rouge chain as we may suspect. For now, Dreamwatcher will continue to monitor the current chain being monitored at CCExplorer, until definite word/ conclusion can be ascertained from cryptsy.
I also set up an account with Mintsy, which offers dedicated mining contracts. I I am uncertain if they offer mining support for Bitbar, but have contacted their support to see if that is a possibility. I was entertaining the idea of perhaps a Mining contract in order to have dedicated hash power on the chain, to help prevent situations that we may be encountering at the moment. this may be accomplished through crowdfunding, if we can garner the support.
