Well you need to read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country There are many countries that have legalized bitcoin in this world.

1. United States
2. China/UK
3. UK/China
4. Canada
5. ? ? ?

I'd like to say that spot is taken by Indonesia. so let's agree to disagree. Cool
How about other European countries such as the Netherlands? There are many bitcoin-related shops and stores there. You could also live in there with some cash and the rest, bitcoins. Netherlands could possibly be in the 5th place.

Wait, what does that ranking mean? Number of users or the development of bitcoin?
Yeah Europe is the best place in bitcoin development, I guess there are many more bitcoin-related business than other place in the world. But seems number of users are still less than those countries.

US and it varies by area highly.  It tends to be big cities that have a few bitcoin things.

For most part though US really does not have much BTC ATM's, or business that accept btc.  We can hope this changes in a few years, as word spreads.

No,  Bitcoin is not so much developed in India.
I think that the people don't take interest in this and because in my country the Internet services are poor and costly so who will download a 40gb block chain. Lol

http://www.coindesk.com/european-court-of-justice-official-proposes-bitcoin-vat-exemption/

this is a really good news, for euro, they are embracing bitcoin apparently

Yup i think so that china is number 1 bitcoin volume and there are more than 80% of bitcoin transactions take place in Chinese yuan

I don't think so. http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/volumepie/ <-- see that. USD still dominates all. of course it doesn't mean that the Americans are solely responsible for that. I'm sure at least 15% of those are from users around the world that can't use their national currency to buy bitcoin.

Bitcoin in my country i think is well popular, it is becoming more and more interesting for people/ they are falling in love with it

In my country too its gaining popularity and it is getting more and more attractive for the people who have just heard about it. And I believe in the coming years the users of bitcoins will grow significantly in my country as most of them knows the benefits associated with bitcoins. At present they are trading with stocks but in future they would switch to bitcoins for sure.

Netherlands is your best bet on the 5th spot if those are the criteria. There are many places in there wherein you can spend those bitcoins. It's like "the bitcoin haven" if you'd ask me.

I actually didn't consider Netherlands while searching for that list. just russia, japan, korea, spain, plus the one listed.
now that you mention it, looks like there's quite a lot of bitcoin ATMs and shops that accepts bitcoin in there.

Are you still in 2012 or do you mean something else when you say legalized?

BTC is not forbidden in all countries except few, and most of them have laws of legal statements about BTC and BTC usage

both, actually. I felt it would be unfair to judge them just based on the number of users. I mean some countries are just just huge.

That is true that many memebers from India here but at the same time those who are not here are completely not aware about the bitcoins. And they should be made aware of the bitcoins by the members present here. As India's population is very huge, the users of bitcoins can be to the extreme level if they are made aware of the bitcoins.

Not all great economy country will developing bitcoin easily, like Japan and many great country in Europe. You can read here https://bitcoinmagazine.com/17508/bitcoin-regulation-in-japan/ By the way, Mt. Gox was based in Tokyo.
ahh ok but bitcoin are legal in japan but not already developed. and i think indonesia are better than japan by means of adopting and usage of bitcoin.
Yeah Japan has legalized bitcoin there, but it seems not many people yet be interested with bitcoin. Maybe some japanese users here will tell us about bitcoin development in their country.
