When I was new in this crypto world I preferred to invest in altcoins, but the longer and when i was more experience i prefer to invest in bitcoin because I felt happier with smaller returns on safer coins.

I agree with you that Bitcoin has a low profit rate but is considered the safest and most reliable crypto currency in the market, but for small investors there is no significant profit to be seen here.

In my opinion, if someone has more capital, they should also invest some part of their investment in altcoins. While it is very important for small investors to invest in low value coins but make the right choice based on their knowledge and experience, because the risks are higher in altcoins, but can give you huge profits at any time, and you can reduce the risks by making good choices.

Choose an altcoin that has real potential and can be done by doing research first,
with $ 800 you have to be smart in managing it and it can generate big profits,
investment for the long term obviously Bitcoin is the choice and for the short term choose altcoins.
I saw investors that have made money from investing in Bitcoin, they're okay to invest that amount and even more for altcoins that could make them a lot of money.
It's more of a gamble than of investing because it's just a short-term thing. Some really make huge money but mostly don't, those that are making with these altcoins know the risk and it shouldn't be associated with emotion or else, they're just wasting their resources and money from these coins.

I prefer to buy altcoins than Bitcoin because in terms of price we need large capital if we want 1 Bitcoin,
That's always the common thought of many that you're all required to buy 1 bitcoin but in reality, you can DCA and buy mbtcs or bits of it depending on how much is your goal.

Bitcoin or Altcoin is a very good question when the market is bearish,
I prefer to buy altcoins than Bitcoin because in terms of price we need large capital if we want 1 Bitcoin,
but in altcoins we can look for altcoins with a low market cap with a pump potential of 1000x and yes I choose altcoins.

Investing in cryptocurrencies based on one coin does not earn good profits. $800 is a very good amount to invest. I think with this amount you can invest quite a few coins.Although Bitcoin investment is above all, Bitcoin is best for earning good profit.  But I would say keep some altcoins in your wallet too, which can give you 100x to 200x returns. While huge profits can be made from altcoins, as well as altcoins are high in risk.  Of course, be careful when investing in altcoins, as there is a huge element of pump and dump.
My views with altcoins are also varied, usually as I observe it is often difficult to achieve large profits if the investment position is not large. Let's say it's the case that investing $800 in some altcoin (altcoins were researched according to personal search data) then I can imagine it will bring great returns once you have built a strategy long-term and have money backing up in many other assets and just consider the money invested in altcoins as a small investment or not much attention. Or in the case of some of the larger altcoins, we can also lose a lot of time or get some unexpected pump from the hype on social media, and the risk is also something to watch when saying. about bitcoin and altcoins. Over time if the asset grows bigger then I believe many people will always choose bitcoin for its safety in this market.

I recently made some money through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, and I'm considering using it to purchase some Bitcoin. Only a tiny sum, roughly $800, is involved. What do you suggest doing right now? Purchase some Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency with a promising future.

What replacement coins would you recommend?
No doubt you can earn a lot of profit from AltCoins but risk of losing money is very high as because there are huge element of pump and dump, while it's history that mostly some new Altscoin has appeared some year and ruled top of the list for few years and then got disappeared from top of the list which caused a huge loss for investor, So there is not a guarantee that now top of the list altcoins will hold his position on a top after few years,
While on the other hand Bitcoin has a history to regain his previous ATH and make a new one, also Bitcoin has a lot of price stability compared to Alt and history proved that Bitcoin was on the top and is on the top and will be on the top
So now it's up to you choose the best....

BTC and ETH will outperform most of the market, apart from a handful of project that will stay relevant in the longterm, if you're confident enough to pick those out, then go for it but most people will end up losing money. So better stick with the big one which is BTC.

Of you take bitcoin first then follow by Ethereum, i don't see any risk in doing that because they are well recognized cryptocurrency, i will not advise putting your entire money into them because anything can happen, try to maintain being safe, take low risk and maximize your winnings potential by making diversification with your investment, try to target the bullrun and hodl the investment on your personal crypto wallet.

Can't you go for both? I mean you can list btc and altcoin together in your portfolio. I think that will be best combination. Cause if you can go for btc,  then you have less possibility to multiple your fund within short time, while that's quite easy with altcoins. Although i would only recommended altcoins with top ten except usdt, usdc. Those are stable coin IMHO.  But my recommendation is, already invest in btc with more than 60% of your total fund. That would never make you disappointed

Yeah we dominate that thing, you should do both, because Altcoins and Bitcoin are both good things, maybe Bitcoin is a place where you hold assets for a very long term, put a few percent into Altcoins and you will try to rotate well in the long term long or short depending on the Altcoin. to be honest, if you try both of these it doesn't make us disappointed for this action.

Agreed, going with both here!

The crypto ecosystem isn't about bitcoin only, having to own or use altcoins compliments what bitcoin can not do and its success rides on these altcoins flourishing as well.
Besides with crypto its not all about the currencies aspect only, we could use other services such as the utility aspect of some of the alts there or simply go for the coins with much cheap transaction fees if we choose to save a few dollars.

just invest in altcoin it seems $800 is just doesn't cut it to invest in bitcoin, heck even if bitcoin rise 50% you just get small amount of increase, I think in this case investing in altcoin makes more sense.

Totally agree with you that if $800 is invested in Bitcoin, there is no benefit to that one investment, because the price of Bitcoin is very high compared to other coins in the market. If the same $800 is invested in other coins whose price is less than 1 dollar or close to 1 dollar, good profit can be expected from here in bull run.

Because $800 can buy even a small part of Bitcoin, while on the other hand, $800 you can get a large number of other small coins in the market. Even if the price of Bitcoin doubles, there will not be that much profit, but if the prices of smaller coins rise even by 20 to 25 percent, they can get a good profit from there.

Once i joined crypto, i sure as hell wanted moonshots so i chased alts.
After a while, i realized crypto is already too volatile so i just stick with the big 2 and call it a day.
Regret is not something i enjoying living with.
That's right and good for you that you've come to realize that this market isn't all about how diversified you are and how many you're holding. But, what's the most stable crypto that you're holding. Stable in terms of volatility and the market that it has got to show you.
At the end of the day, we're all investing in what we think is going to make us profitable. Some are thinking way beyond that and all they want is to become rich in an instant so they're trying their luck games to the meme coins and pump and dump coins. They know the risk but it's just that, they know that if luck hits them, they'd be rich on it but that's like a guessing game that's hard to understand.

And the most important thing you need to remember is just invest money you can afford to lose.
We tell this all the time and no wonder that many are learning already to invest only with certain amounts.

Investing in both Bitcoin and altcoins are very good idea. But before investing we have to aware about the best altcoins , which is good and long lasting. Because some coins are disable quickly after some time. There is no risk in investing bitcoin, because it a larger and well established cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is more safer and stable investment than altcoins. Before you invest in altcoins you have to check whether it is best coin to invest because some altcoins gives high profit returns but with higher risk. So choose best altcoins before invest.
The best altcoins in my opinion are ETH and BNB of course they have maintained their position at the top and these altcoins have a real use while for ETH it is wider in the ecosystem and BNB is having a big exchange right now.
If you compare, of course bitcoin is better, but you have to wait patiently to invest in bitcoin and it will not be easy to produce if it only takes a moment and it takes years.

If you think about cryptocurrency as a matter of fact, bitcoi should be your number one priority investment, then if you want also think that you're able to take so level of risk to an extent then you can go for some few altcoins and start by checking on the best ratings each has after bitcoin ranking, we have some that could be as well reliable, conduct a research on them and buy them when they are dip, once you earn little more on them then you sell out.

Both Bitcoin and altcoins?
What are the altcoins that you suggest, the top tens? As you've said there are too many of them in the market and there are also stable coins. There's nothing wrong with stable coins as it can also be your choice when you take profits and keep them there.

Although i would only recommended altcoins with top ten except usdt, usdc. Those are stable coin IMHO.  But my recommendation is, already invest in btc with more than 60% of your total fund. That would never make you disappointed
I do agree with your recommendation of having more allocation to Bitcoin than any altcoin. And that should be the priority of someone who knows what's coming to the market, soon.

I agree that investing in both Bitcoin and altcoins is the best way to optimize the chance for bigger profits. But be careful to choose the altcoins, there are many altcoins that have bad fundamentals and may disappear in the future. Just focus on buying top altcoins if we want to have more secure altcoins assets. Anyway, if we buy Bitcoin and altcoins this time, we seem to target selling them in the next bullish season (2024-2025). So, not sure to target short-term holding for altcoins, most of use probably try to hold until the altcoins season. Yes, 60% for Bitcoin and 40% for top altcoins are a good idea, there are many people who use this way.
