I recently made some money through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, and I'm considering using it to purchase some Bitcoin. Only a tiny sum, roughly $800, is involved. What do you suggest doing right now? Purchase some Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency with a promising future.

What replacement coins would you recommend?
If you are good at speculations then altcoins could earn you the desired profits in a short time, but for a long time investment, Bitcoin is the best decision concerning that and this is why we need to separate our portfolio into various stages, so for sure we can't accurately say which among Bitcoin and altcoin is the best investment choice since we have different preference for difference people.
But left for me, bitcoin is the best choice since you will have some level of stability in your investment and less risk.

No matter how anyone will look at it, Bitcoin remains the asset with the greatest potential for a future positive outcome of events, and if you are looking for an investment that will guarantee peace of mind and stability, Bitcoin happens to be the best option for that, and since we have seen a lot of new coins that pause themselves as projects with good potentials, it important to note the risk side of altcoin compared to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is best for long-term goals since its investment requires time to mature and while you are at that, you can take time to build more knowledge on other aspects of Bitcoin that will be of help to your financial life and how to analyse the market properly.
couldn't agree more with this statement but somehow altcoin despite the fact that it has all the fluctuation which may varies one from the other altcoin, it could give significant amount of profit and even thousand time return with relatively small capital, it quite literally starts from near zero until it reaches its peak, so each have their own advantage.

altcoins even itself has so many categories honestly, there are altcoin with utilities, there are altcoins with quite literally zero utilities and only being used as a tool of manipulation, i'd say even in investing altcoin one should classify that, but the thing is bitcoin is just a lot more safer because many institutional funds are actually getting in there, so the liquidity is good for exiting, you don't need to be worry about your investment affecting the overall market and causing your current value gets decreased when you decide to cash out your money.
prominently, it's always bitcoin and altcoin with real utilities, more frequently smart contract based that actually being invested nowadays.

I see everybody saying Bitcoin yet if you're to check their portfolios you'll see they're made up of all altcoins or a majority of their investment are in altcoins. I'm not against Bitcoin but altcoins are also good investment.

Whether he Bitcoin or Altcoin they are both good differences, it's just that so far Altcoin dependence is very close to Bitcoin because maybe in terms of risk Bitcoin is much safer, as well as Altcoins because not all of them have a high risk, it needs thoroughness in researching something Altcoin when you want to choose it to invest, but return to the perspective of each person.

I will advise you to invest the money on Ethereum or binance, because the price of all those coins are very low and it will allow you to use the $800 to purchase huge amount of Ethereum and binance and hold for the price to pump higher before you can sell to smile. Now that the price of Bitcoin has increased to $30,000, I think it will be difficult for you to win something big from your investment, because the price is too high in this period for you to buy Bitcoin than to wait for the price to decrease back to $16,437 before you can buy and hold for future purpose.
Do not forget that bitcoin will soon have a halving and now is the best time to increase its reserves, as many assume that the growth will be very significant in price. But I also agree with the opinion that alts from the first top 10 will also respond well to the event. So far I am betting more on bitcoin, alts in my portfolio are no more than 30%

if asked to choose Bitcoin or Altcoin of course I prefer to invest in Altcoins,
especially now is the bearish season where many potential altcoins are experiencing severe dumps,
for example Verasity or VRA, Vsystem or Vsys, and Nervos or CKB,
yes these three coins are potential altcoin in my opinion, try to find out and you will understand how I chose it.
I don't think that all of those altcoins that you've mentioned I'll get one. Most of them, I'll pass. And if that's your choice to choose more with altcoins than bitcoin.

You probably might have taken lots of profits with altcoins and that's why you're saying that you prefer it than the king of cryptos.

I've heard of Verasity and it's ATH was 10x from its current price.
if you look at the fundamentals, I think Verasity can also be considered even though the price of verasity is already 10x because the fundamentals of verasity are very good,
especially about the POV or Proof of View which is very useful for users and makes VRA probably even exceed the ATH price in 2021
Honestly, I haven't done depth research about it but if you did that and you think that they really are that based on what you're saying.

It's up to you whether you think that they'll be one of the kind in the near future since the altcoins' season is about to get in here before bitcoin shoots up.

2021 was the time of bull run and no doubt that verasity gets on that peak but we'll see if it's going to be broken when the next bull comes.

It is no problem to invest in altcoins but you need to be careful to choose proper altcoins. You shouldn't choose shitcoins or weak altcoins. Some altcoins you stated above aren't altcoins that have quite strong fundamentals, you must be more selective in choosing altcoins. I am not familiar with VRA, Vsys, or CKB. If I were you, I will prefer to choose top altcoins such as ETH, BNB, MATIC, ADA, SOL, DOT, TRX, AVAX, UNI, or LINK. These are some altcoins that can be alternative coins for the long term.

everyone can be different in determining what is best and all that is because the situation of each individual is clearly different in how it is presented, as long as it remains profitable it can clearly be accommodated. so if you think that altcoins are very good, of course it's because you already have or have indeed analyzed it as well as possible, if I'm actually happy with bitcoin and don't need a lot of coin choices that might be wrong, but the problem is bitcoin has a high value and requires funds that are not little compared to altcoins.
once again it all just depends on each one making his choice as long as it's true in the analysis of course it's fine.

I recently made some money through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, and I'm considering using it to purchase some Bitcoin. Only a tiny sum, roughly $800, is involved. What do you suggest doing right now? Purchase some Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency with a promising future.

What replacement coins would you recommend?

there is no debate, Bitcoin is the best and safest choice to invest in cryptocurrency and now is the right time for you to invest in Bitcoin, because the price is still below from its ATH price, so if the price returns to ATH again or even create a new ATH price, then of course you can get a lot of profit from investing in Bitcoin, so don't miss the opportunity at this time.
For now, I suggest that you should choose an altcoin for investment,
because indeed there are still many altcoins that are undervalued and the potential for achieving more profits is very open,
so don't waste this opportunity to accumulate the altcoins that you like.

Bitcoin investment is of course the most important investment. If you have a little capital to invest, it would be better if half of your capital is invested in Bitcoin, and the other half you just choose altcoins. Because there has been no history of an altcoin bull run without being based on Bitcoin.

honestly I'd say bitcoin if you are finding for investment that have low volatility so you're not worried about the roller coaster of the price changing, but honestly nowadays, the volatility rate of ethereum and bitcoin is more or less the same, both are just following each other, but ethereum does indeed lean towards following bitcoin more, so I guess if it's these two coin it's the same, so you can allocate equal investment, but if it's some new altcoin then always consider their volatility which usually huge.

If I wanted to increase my money I'll invest in altcoins as they can give the best returns in the next bull market but when I want to secure my profits I'll invest in Bitcoin as that's the only project that can be reliable in the market.
You can just pretty much invest on Ethereum or BNB and just wait for that. If you don't want a hassle of checking every single altcoins out there then you should check that out. It's difficult to choose one depends on how well the traders could see the potential of each altcoin out there, easier to said than done. I'd do both by grabbing BTC and ETH/BNB in my bag for my future.

It's up to you to do one or both, no one forces you. But, more profit is better, right?

I think Bitcoin is a good and promising choice, because Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrencies and is in top 1 on coinmarketcap, so of course the price will definitely increase and give you profit, even though maybe the profit you get can't be as big as you invest in altcoin, but at least it's safer for you to invest in Bitcoin than altcoin (less risk of losing your money).
Without a doubt, bitcoin is the top notch on this market. There will be other investors and influencers that will say some reasons that it's too expensive for one to buy but ignore that.
Because that expensiveness is due to its demand and feature that everyone is going to like, aside from that, you can buy in fractions and that's why even if there will be discouragements saying that it's expensive to buy, you can buy it actually in small amounts.
And as you wait for bull run, you'll notice the significance why people are telling to buy bitcoin. Not much pain to buy some alts and that's your choice but bitcoin is like you're at the right choice.
