I think it is Bitcoin. Because BTC is king of crypto,with large dominate in market. In addition, BTC not belong to anyone, so nothing can be control it.
I like ethereum better. But I keep Bitcoin
bitcoin because ethereum is now decreasing and bitcoin is now again rising in price but this is in my opinion because bitcoin is much interested
I think both coins will be leaders in the crypto market because there are many people holding them and the demands by people is higher than other coins. Thus, I think you can buy both and hold it for a long period.
I'm sure more than 80% of people here, will definitely recommend ETH to be worth investing this year. I think ETH will reach its highest value this year. I'd go for ETH, IMO it's still hasn't reached it's supposed all time high, so if it's breakout year we're talking about, I'd say ETH would take this year.

according to the last researches it is Ethereum but I think both it and Bitcoin are on the same level right now - they both have their fan army Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
Well, I think the price for eth will grow faster than on btc. And I advise you to invest better in eth. The price for eth every day grows by 3-5%. And on btc 1-3%. 
i think ethereum is the most promising currency in 2018 many developers still work on it and tries to scale it take a look at cosmos for example good luck 
I feel like ethereum is going to do better this year. I mean it will be multiplied in price. Bitcoin will wait around 20 to 35k dollars but ethereum can easily reach 7-8k dollar in no time. Vitalik is working hard.

Bitcoin and ETH do have a high potential for development in the future. After all, they surpassed other coins at a price, remain market leaders and an explicit trendsetter.

Both are very good. Now they are showing a good value increase. All depends on the money you have, if able to buy bitcoin (can buy in fractional satoshi). Basically, both are very good in 2018.
On this moment I can say that ethereum is more stable than bitcoin, but as we know bitcoin has the highest price on the market. Both of them has a good potential for 2018, I think ethereum will go over 2k and bitcoin over 15k this year.
