I think that both of these coins should grow in 2018, because both bitcoin and ethereum have announced large-scale improvements. But in my opinion, the growth rate of ethereum should outpace the growth rates of bitcoin. The release of new ICOs should support the strengthening of ethereum.
The ether looks a little overvalued relative to Bitcoin. Therefore, if you choose exclusively between these currencies, then at the moment I would choose Ether. It should be noted that Bitcoin, although it is the oldest and technologically weak currency, but much is being done to develop technologies
I think Bittwin will still rule in 2018. There is a great possibility of Ethermom, in 2018, Bitcoin or Ethram will be a nice year. 
For me of course bitcoin because ,its already recorded in history as Mode of payment like buying stuff online.Even restaurant in my country here in philippines are now accepting btc for payment .Its globally recognized but still a lot of people want to pull down the btc but they cant.The price now is just a correction in will go to moon very soon and am pretty sure btc will reach 10k$ .But ethereum is great also.Nice platform its the prince of bitcoin.The second crypto that will follow btc not in value but its progress or success road.

I would choose both if possible. But only one, I choose Bitcoin, I believe in 2018 Bitcoin will continue to grow strongly. Although it's experiencing strong fluctuations, its value is constantly decreasing but in the future, its development is still very good and its potential is also great. I also enjoy Ethereum, it is showing great growth in recent times but I will put my trust in Bitcoin.
My friends said that ETH will be the top this year. So, IMO, why not choose both? I think both are worth it, perhaps you can divide is as 50-50 to invest it or etc
I go for Ethereum, somehow I have a feeling that futures of Bitcoin , broke it a bit.

I am also confident that bitcoin will remain the king of the crypto currency. But Ether can show good growth. So I invest in both coins.

for me is ill go for bitcoin because its still the highest price and maybe it will grow more than the other year and etherium will go higher too and maybe it will grow bigger like the bitcoin.
I would prefer both, but I'll give the big share to Ethereum.
Preferring both but getting bigger amount with ETH, in my part its opposite. I have more than in bitcoin because I know that bitcoin will remain as the king and last year was both productive for ETH and bitcoin. And there's no question that they have been great for the same year but still bitcoin will reach new ATH for the next months to come and I saw it happened from the past and will not regret putting more money on it.

Bitcoin will still rule 2018 because all altcoins depends on the price of bitcoin for example if bitcoin will rise then altcoins does it too and if bitcoin falls then altcoins will do the same. And bitcoin these passed weeks have lost so much and I can tell that bitcoin will rise again in the next months
i vote for ethereum in this year, most of a good project in this year was lead by coins based on ERC-20 which is especially ethereum is on its way.
those good project will eventually make this Ethereum price keep on stable or even more highly jump maybe at Q3 of 2018
