I will choose ETH. Based on my research and opinion ETH is a smart contract chain and more business will deploy their business on the ETH and they will gas to power those contracts. So it will make ETH to grow in value. BTC is good but it only server as a store of value.
Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
It is probably Ethereum. Bitcoin has been not profitable this last few months and I am starting to worry. On the other hand, ethereum's price is much stable than bitcoin.
ETH has potential this year.
I am all in ETH; it has resisted the recent drop very well I also think NEO is getting there too. It is a going to be the year for Altcoins to shine.
I think both work together and will grow. Personally, I think this year would be NEO and ETH year and I think both are safe investment for long term, I'll add BTC if lighting solves all the issues facing BTC at the moment. 
I think they are both good for investing in 2018. But Ethereum will recover faster and may be will double or triple its price. I think Bitcoin may reach back levels around 20000$, but will not go to 30000$.
So my choice at the moment will be Ethereum.

BTC for sure, with lightning coming up, there is no doubt
btc being one of the best coins because I believe even though btc is currently experiencing a significant decline it is only temporary and will not last long. btc will be one of the coins that has good price and strongest in cryptocurrency at this time. so choosing btc is currently a good choice.
I prefer ETH in 2018 because I see the price of ETH is stronger than the price of Bitcoin

I like ethereum because of it's very low price and fast transactions it has all what bitcoin is lacking but Bitcoin is still the original but unless the core team do not do anything about the fee and transactions fee people will shift to a better coin. 
i choose both of them why because these two can be a good long term coins that you can invest and wait for the next year to get the profits and also these two has a lot of potential and on the summer it can pump
Both of them will raise their value in this year. But Ethereum seems to be better this year. It's safer and more resistant.

Both options look promising, but I prefer to give the air to bitcoin while it's expensive for me, and the etherium looks like the most profitable investment in my opinion

these two cryptoes have good prospects this year. yes although the current market is down but not close the possibility in a few months bitcoin and ethereum will be pumped. yes I'm sure it is, now is the best time to buy both crypto.

I invest equally both coins but I always support Litecoin too, which I think is undervalued these days and will move fast this year.

If you have to choose only one, sure I will invest in ETH... Bitcoin has the "name" and is the first coin...but it has many problems that Ethereum doesn't have..
it's really hard to decide but I believe I should wait a long time for the bitcoin I say etherium
In order for this choice to be easy, you need to invest in both coins. I am sure that these coins have a great potential and will be able to multiply your capital by the end of the year.
