Though the price of bitcoin is fluctuating since this month of January but it is going to still take the lead this 2018. Not just 2018, bitcoin will continue to dominate for several years to come because it well known and acceptable almost every where in the whole world. This is the right time to invest more, because the price will go up any moment after this first quarter of the this year.

I personally believe that 2018 will be the year of Ethereum. We are waiting for the big rocket, and I think will be 1 ETH=1 BTC. IMHO

ethereum currently has a high price movement and is very fast. but bitcoin becomes one of the coins in cryptocurrency which has the most expensive price. I think both eth and btc coins have good potential in 2018.

I agree. I think this is the reply of a person who is not only greedy but considers the bigger picture.  Grin Having said, I also do agree that both have their own strengths, followings and distinct technologies that work for their favor. I think that BTC, being the pioneer, always has that king of the hill title that couldn't be snatched by any other coin in the market. It help bitcoin in such a different standard because the experience and power it has under its belt is just different with other coins. The price point is also one factor why it gains so much support. On the other hand, Eth is one of those strong altcoins that has been in the tail of bitcoin for quite while, it always shows promising gains, and the reliability it developed over the years is something that you can't discount as well.

Both BTC and ETH are important. We don't need to compare them because they are both widely used and their price are both increasing. Also they have different markets so this two will always be use. I prefer this 2 cryptos compared to other cryptos. I am sure that both will have a higher value this 2018. So excited when this 2 reach their Ath.

both these coins, eth and bitcoin are coins that have a high value and have their respective markets so both will surely remain in 2018 even the price is predicted to go up

If you asked this a month ago I would have said Ethereum. However Bitcoin has become pretty cheap and if they manage to rollout the Lightning Network successfully then Bitcoin might just out perform. Both will be much higher by the end of the year so I would recommend putting money in both.

I think Bitcoin is the best coin to hold for long run because of possible 100 k $ target in the end of the year 2018 beside that i am storing small amount of eth (about 10 %)

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
Just my opinion dont need any justification for it but i think most crypto-users are comfortable to ethereum because its faster in terms  of confirming a tx and fees a way cheaper and prices are stable to...eth will rule.

Ethereum being  a decentralized blockchain based platform for smart contracts where you can create your own software, applications, startups, or even a huge company. Ethereum has become one of the top blockchain platform. Millions of people are investing in Ethereum everyday, So  Ethereum is breaking all records of bitcoin. and will probably outclassed bitcoin.

Definitely both coins are actually good for investment and they have their respective unique characteristics and potential. Although, between the two, i would still choose bitcoin. Eth have definitely progressed however, i would still go for bitcoin since it has more potential than that of eth and it will continue to rule 2018 despite the dip it experienced over the last few weeks. Fortunately, it is recovering little by little.

I think that the ethereum will not overtake the bitcoin in 2018
Many people are still believe in bitcoin even there's a big dumping in its value because they know it will rise again. While in ethereum this past year it increase mostly that much, so many people conclude that it has potential to grow more this year. Maybe it will be rise of its value this year in much higher both ethereum and bitcoin. Its depend to you which coin you will hold because both of them are good coins.

I'll give my vote for the ETH, he has a great potential for growth, although recently he always repeats for bitcoin, but I do not think this connection will be in 2018 and I'm waiting for ETH to be high

Between Bitcoin and Ethereum, I prefer to invest in ethereum. I think ethereum is more stable than bitcoin and the price is much cheaper thank bitcoin. Therefor if I invest in ethereum and the price is fly high, then my money will multiply much more.

I think this two coins are good both to hold because this to are rising its value especially in bitcoin, even there are advantages and disvantages there are still many people are get interested to this two coins. Also when you compared it to each other or choose one of them you will never regret which coins you pick because there are both good and both have potential to increase much more its value in this 2018.

Both BTC and ETH seem promising.
Lightening framework can improve it adoption, and corporates and big business can invest billions in BTC this yr.
However, with POS and Raiden network changes scheduled soon,  ETH has the potential to grow enormously.
However, there are other Alts which want to emulate it as well.
Overall, in terms of appreciation, personally my guess is BTC 5x -10x, and ETH 5x-15x.
Best is to split your portfolio - say in the ratio 40:60 :: BTC:ETH.
Thanks.

As of now, I only know is bitcoin so? I prefer to use bitcoin because I dont want to make things hard. Im still studying on ETH if the day will comes that I already know ETH I prefer to use both.
