I was able to recover the coin, but now syncing has stopped at block # 936851, no movement past that point.  If anyone has links on how to force a network sync, paste them below please.  Wondering if I need to rebuild the config file, is it just a regular batch file?  Thanks again for any help, bit frustrating   Angry

EDIT - just going through the posts, is there something I need to do to go from wallet v1 - 3?  I am wondering if I was staking against a wrong chain..?  thoughts?

second EDIT - After deleting all files in the buzzcoin folder minus the wallet backup file, I was able to sync up fully, but balance is only showing the original amount purchased (63k) on 9/15/2017 vs. what I showed in wallet v.1 (1.4 million).  Are these coins lost or no longer valid?  if I could have a developer reach out/reply that would be awesome, I hate to think I was staking into outterspace haha =o(

It sounds very much like you've been staking on the wrong chain since September, I'm afraid to say... You can check for sure by searching for your address on explorer.buzzcoin.info

Did BUZZ change anything lately, done re-branding or something?

There's a new wallet - check the updated original post for details

Looking for some syncing help w/ new wallet, I updated the config file w/ all the nodes AND downloaded the new bootstrap data.  Still just says 24 hours behind, I get active connections just no movement past block # 934757.  Thoughts?

I also tried replacing ALL files inside the folder, and only the original coins sent to the wallet from September show, and all mined amounts are grey and say "generated but not accepted mined".

Thanks in advance, hope the last 4 months of staking isn't a loss.

I can't answer why your bootstrap download doesn't appear to have worked - it's updated automatically every 6 hours, so that shouldn't be an issue. However, from experience, it DOES take time to get the blockchain up to date...

Those orphaned blocks that you mention - they will be the result of another wallet trying to stake at the same time as, or within a second or two, of yours. Four times in a row sounds like bad luck, admittedly, but your wallet ought to stake soon... Hope that helps somewhat

Can any amount of Buzz stake in their own wallet?

In theory, yes. However, as it states in the changelog document (see the post above or the original announcement), it's not guaranteed that you will stake

** How can we "tell the wallet to combine staked inputs automatically"?  I looked at the options in the new wallet and I am having trouble figuring out how to do this.

Thanks for your help!

It's in the changelog document - see the links I posted in the update. Essentially, you need to open the debug window, go to the console tab and set the 'setstakesplitthreshold' value

I need help. I upgraded to the new wallet (3.0) but my wallet is out of sync and is showing only one connection. The old wallet had like 16 connections this morning before the upgrade.

Maybe I need more addnodes?

You might need to check your buzzcoin.conf file... this is the list I have in mine and syncing isn't a problem...

No Spamming!

Apologies for this, but it has been going on long enough. It's against the forum rules and its taking away from the discussion about Buzzcoin.

Mention of spamming is clearly mentioned in the forum rules, so any more posts advertising anything, especially with referral links, will be reported to the moderators.

You can see the rules for yourself in this post. Please abide by them. And just in case you can't see the link, here's the text of the post:

The policy to not remove anything worked when the forum was small. Now that we have thousands of posts a day, we can't afford 50% of them being junk. The moderators are now instructed to be less tolerant of low-value posts.

Some guidelines:

1. Free speech - you can say anything as long as it is relevant and presented in a calm and polite manner. Swearing, SHOUTING etc. make your post more likely to be removed.
2. No zero value posts or threads, like "SELL SELL SELL"
3. No pointless or uninteresting threads.
4. No referral code spam
5. No NSFW content

Thank you

Ahhh I see it.  Thanks!

"No More Coin Control

We have disabled the need for coin control with the “setstakesplitthreshold” command in the wallet. Any stakes that are higher than 25,000,000 will be split into multiple inputs, but anything below this will remain as a single input. This can be changed with console command “setstakesplitthreshold”, which accepts an integer value from between 0 and 25,000,000."

Is the default value set to 25,000,000?  This seems implied, but I don't like to make assumptions.

Thanks!

Currently, I'm unaware if there is a default value or not and haven't tested it with my own wallet, but it's easy enough to type setstakesplitthreshold 25000000 into the debug window console! Wink That way, your stake reward would have to be over 25,000,000 before it gets split into two smaller inputs - not something that's likely to happen!

NEW WALLET RELEASE - Mandatory Update

The new wallet, v3.0, is with us! There are quite a few new features in it, which are being listed here in brief. For full details, you can see the changelog - the link is below...

The biggest change is the Staking Reward Percentage - 1200% is a massive return, but with the projects Buzz want to generate rewards for, it was simply unsustainable. Instead, Buzz is employing a dynamic staking reward percentage based on the number of coins in circulation - the formula is (1200-(1200*(Current Supply / Maximum Supply)). This means that the closer Buzz gets to its maximum coin supply, the lower the percentage.

Power Blocks 1200 isn't gone forever, though - a percentage of blocks that are staked will still attract the 1200% rate!

Minimum Stake Age - After block 940,000, the time taken for coins to mature in your wallet will increase from 8 hours to a more dynamic figure, again, based on the current coin supply. (Current Supply / 1,000,000,000) * 8 hours. However, Power Blocks will mature instantly

Maximum Stake Age - At block 935,000 a maximum stake age of 16 hours activates. This means that if any coins in your wallet haven't staked for a while, it's quite likely that you'll be able to stake at the full 1200% rate between blocks 935k and 940k. After 940k, the Maximum Stake Age will be twice the Minimum Stake Age

No More Coin Control!!! Unless your stake reward is greater than 25,000,000, you can tell the wallet to combine staked inputs automatically, negating the need to employ coin control!

Windows AV Fix - Many coins' wallets have prompted various anti-virus utilities to flag the wallets as carrying a Trojan or virus. This was due to IRC communication which has been eliminated

* * *

This is a MANDATORY UPDATE to the wallet, and any stake rewards or mining efforts that are done with the old wallet after block 940k will be invalid on the blockchain. So please, UPDATE YOUR WALLETS!!!

They can be obtained from the NEW WEBSITE - that is the ONLY place the wallet will be made available
