Now considering someone who is a gambling addict, is there any possibility of him/her becoming better if they are relocated to another environment or society where people around are not involved in gambling?
I think yes. It is better to relocate addicts to a new environment that has no gamblers. It will support him to recover faster because it will be easy to forget gambling in an environment free of gamblers. The perspective and way of life of the residents in a new environment can be an inspiration for addicts to stop gambling. They must open their eyes that life without gambling is possible. Or they finally can realize that there are too many people who live without dependence on gambling.

Transferring an addict to another place without his own will is actually quite risky in my opinion unless he really has the will to do it.
Addicts, in this case, need support from those closest to them and when they move to a new environment without close people like their family or partners, it becomes quite difficult because I think there is an impression that they feel like they have been removed.
Even though his intentions are good, this must be based on the will of the addict as well.

Gambling is at its core a social activity. This is how it was created, but with all the flashy designs of the online casinos this might not be the case anymore. People still feel the adrenaline shot even if they are betting on a computer and having other people cheering them on.

Yes, the adrenaline and the hope of making a lot of money releases dopamine. As the user plays more he will be more and more addicted, no matter if the people around them gamble or not. Of course that the social pressure will affect his desire to play, but an addicted person might also find refuge in gambling from social situations where he is seen as an addicted gambler.

You will agree with me that society and the environment can have a great influence on the lifestyle of every individual, you often can find yourself doing, or being involved in that activity that almost everyone is involved with in that your locale as a result of influence. Now considering someone who is a gambling addict, is there any possibility of him/her becoming better if they are relocated to another environment or society where people around are not involved in gambling?

Can someone still develop the habit of gambling and become an addict even though no one around gambles?

If you are not yet gambling no it cannot develop, gambling is associated with the stimulus, feeling, and emotion if there is no one around you that will introduce or a place where you have a chance to play you will not be stimulated to play, you don't wake up and find yourself that you want to gamble, you have to start somewhere or you find a place where you get stimulated to gamble.
I guess it is not gambling which have an effect on person. IT is the mood of person - or anxiety or depression which gets better with the change of environment.
I feel good when I leave my place for some time for the mood change or to overcome depression or anxiety. Surly it does have an impact.

Changes in behavior depending on the environment, it seems true. I feel I will be very religious if I continue to be in a religious environment or only make friends with religious people. It can also happen to gamblers, they will be easily influenced to gamble if they live in a gambler's environment.

Once when I was 19 years old, I made friends with those who smoked marijuana. I see them every day and they are always smoking marijuana, and once for some reason I really wanted to try what marijuana looks like even though I've basically never tried it. It is an experience, so it may have something to do with how a person may experience changes in their behavior towards their environment.

That is the importance of choosing a good environment, because sometimes we do not realize that we are easily influenced by the environment.
Indeed there are people who have strong principles in their lives, so the environment around them does not change them, but the number of such
people is very few. The reality that I found in my life, most people will indeed be affected by the environment in which they live. That's why I limit
myself when I meet people whose behavior I think is negative, because I don't want to be influenced by them. Likewise when we don't want to be
addicted to gambling, we must avoid an environment where many people gamble, otherwise we will be affected and can gamble excessively.

Although it depends on a person. I believe our environment somehow affects our personal decisions. I am a disciplined gambler but put me in a gambling community and I might gamble a little more.

Just last year I transferred into another house. I am now in a silent community. So I only gambled online now. Unlike in my old place where I had my bets online and at the same time I also gambled against some people there.

when a gambling addict only has the desire to quit gambling without any lessons such as losing all valuables and running out of money in gambling, he cant quit gambling.
If a gambler has not lost in gambling, he is not a gambling addict, the bad quality of an addict is that they gamble always until they have no more money to gambling with. So it is not possible for an addict to have never lost before, he would have lost several times and gambling would have become a problem for him, that is what is called an addict.

because like me as a gambling addict it is very difficult to stop gambling. when i have no money i will quit gambling, but when i have more money, i will return to gambling to betting my money again.
There are different types of gambling addicts, there are some that will not have money and will not gambling until they have money, but there are even worse ones that do not have money but can borrow because of gambling, if such people have property, they can even sell it.

so the environmental factor is only 30% to stop gambling and 70% of the main factor is themselves with a strong desire to stop gambling so that their life becomes even better.
To be honest environmental is just 5% while your own desire/belief are 95% since environmental doesn't have any strong effect to control your habit. Take an example if you're a smoker and no one is smoking expect you, you wouldn't stop smoking since the caffeine already affect your brain and every time you want to stop, you can't. Any advice of how smoke will make a bad health for you is just a non sense for you, until you sick, you will learn about it. In gambling, after you broke, you will learn.

what you said is true.
when a gambling addict only has the desire to quit gambling without any lessons such as losing all valuables and running out of money in gambling, he cant quit gambling. but when he is able to stop and stay away from everything that has to do with gambling when he has more money, he will definitely return to gambling.

I am sure that a change of environment, perhaps even a change of residence, can have a positive effect on any addiction. If it is a gambling addiction, it is better to stop associating with those who play casinos or bet on sports. Anything that makes you think about gambling should be avoided. Without a change of environment, it will not be realistic to get rid of the addiction.
Things like this can indeed be done but when avoiding things like this it obviously takes extra effort, especially when we are in a certain scope, sometimes this makes it difficult.
I personally feel that the environment is one of the factors that make a person a gambler.
But letting go of the environment and wanting to be free directly is very difficult, especially sometimes the people around who do gambling can be close people or indeed relatives.

It actually depends on what kind of surroundings the person is having.
If the person is having a surrounding where people are not involved in gambling but at the same time they are not motivating others to quite gambling then there's still a chance that the person might not quite gambling.
If the person is having a surrounding where people are not involved in gambling and motivates others to quit gambling then there are good chances that the person might quit gambling because of the influence.
And last but not the least it also depends on the individual's will power to control himself.
There are people who have a surrounding of gambling addicts yet they quit gambling.
At least to me everything depends on the will of the person, many people once they realize that a loved one is addicted to gambling do their best to produce an environment which will allow their loved one to heal and drop the addiction.

But it is the gambler that refuses to listen and keeps gambling anyway despite having everything on their favor to stop their addiction, so as we can see for a person to drop any addiction the motivation needs to come from within, and once that motivation is there then they will be able to overcome their gambling issues even in the most adverse of the circumstances they may find themselves in.

If this environment accompanies a person from the very beginning of his life, then of course it will have a decisive effect on his behavior. But if this environment appeared when a person is already an adult, then in my opinion this influence will be much less, since an adequate adult person will rely more on his own opinion than on the behavior of others.

as in all addictions, the same applies with gambling addiction. changing the environment and getting out of everyday life can only help. for example, people addicted to "hard drugs" are hospitalized for a couple of years in a recovery community and once they are out they are advised not to hang out with old friends and avoid the places they normally frequented

But to sum up, I believe change is a personal decision and not the measures used to make an individual to change. Gambling is an habit and habit is formed either gradually effortlessly or by personal conviction and that is also how it can be managed.

Changes is a personal goal that can be achieved if the person itself are really eager to fulfil it, but on the top of your statement those influenced are also considerable in helping an addicted person, changing place and be accompanied by people who have a different view about the kind of addiction also have a good weight for the person to change his way.

The mindset inside will slowly be change if he doesn't have any access to his addicted activities. It's a process where your own mindset
will develop other activities that will attract your interest.

I have heard that for real drug addicts who have ended their addiction with the help of specialists/clinics, the main problem is returning to the former environment - this dramatically increases the likelihood that they will again get addicted to drugs. I think with gambling is a similar picture. But the environment is not the most important factor that can outweigh all the others, so even if your environment is completely healthy, you can still become a gambling addict.
Yes, the environment can influence and tempt a person who is trying to change his ways. Despite being medically treated, if a person would have all the temptation of going back to the old habits in his environment, he will surely go back to what caused his addiction. An unhealthy environment will cause unhealthy living.
