[..] I am a multiglot and do speak a lot of languages (more than 10) but mostly Indo-European ones (they are in the same linguistic family) and some ancient ones (Latin, Greek).[...]

Nice mind i also helping myself to learn many different languages to use for job application soon im now practicing french by memorizing some words each day but there still no good, would you mind to help me? Rizal was a polyglot im thinking that might help me if i can do what he had done

Thank you, but I cannot really help you there; I was born from parents from different backgrounds in a country that was not "ours". So I was born and raised on several languages. Further more I was simply born with the intelligence to be able to go to the Dutch "Gymnasium" High schools, which means you get to learn Dutch, English, French, German, Latin and Greek for starters. I got interested in Spain during my studies (and later on in live bought property there), so I got that language too...

But you have already gotten a lot of help here and all I can tell you it takes practice (use it, or lose it). Reading al the different fora (languages) on a regular basis helps...  Grin

That is what actually im doing, but dont have much time, thanks for advice

Try to visit embassies like Indonesia, Russia or Malaysia. I have a team mate who received a free lessons for learning the Russian language, same with  Bahasa Indonesia and free lessons are done on a week ends so no problem if you work on a week day.

Just saw that our thread was finally been moved out from the other language section and for that we really thank the staffs for granting our request. It's been quite some time and there has been a lot of delimma but I guess it's jst a matter of time to get what we hae been wanting for a long timw. We can guarantee you theymos along with the other moderators that we will do our best to help the bitcoin community in our country. Again really thanks. This will be a big start again for us and finall we can organize our topic thus a more clear understanding between our people can be made.

Congratulations to all filipinos for this  Smiley just noticed it when I saw a topic in the new section when seeing the unread posts since last visit.
Good job  Wink
(i am not from Philippines but I like what just happened here)

But surely there is one person in here not happy as you, what may he thinks of it now.

Nope, no kidding... I am a multiglot and do speak a lot of languages (more than 10) but mostly Indo-European ones (they are in the same linguistic family) and some ancient ones (Latin, Greek). I really started this thread because I started noticing the other languages/locations topic being updated all the time by Philippinos. Once I noticed the amounts I decided to go for it. I am really happy you got your own section. Yes, mainly because you don't bother me any more  Tongue but I certainly am happy for you (all Philippinos) too. I hope you make good use of this opportunity. Good luck and have fun!!!

OP thanks! Smiley

And finally the other languages/locations section isn't constantly updated by Philippinos...  Grin

LOL Cheesy

You're very welcome! This really was the main (only) reason I started this thread... I have no interest in the Philippines whatsoever, I do read a lot of the other languages in that section though...  Lips sealed

Do you understand our language? I almost forgot to that you for starting this thread and supporting us with this and so every effort as been paid off and now a new subforum just for us. I hope we can make a more better place for our community. Grin

I am surprised that the Philippines subforum (well, sub-thread) is that huge. To be honest it's the first time I've ever looked at the "Other languages" section and i've been in here for years now. It was a pleasant surprise. With that amount of posts, I think they deserve a subforum.. if a country will benefit from Bitcoin, those are countries like Philippines.

Yes hundreds of pages of post

Almost 20 unique users

That's the issue.

~BCX~

And that's still a LOT more unique POSTERS than a lot of the other dedicated language sections (like: Dutch, Croatian, Hebrew to name a few...).

A local exchange offered me a job when we have our own board or sub-section. So, there's that, for me.

That sure is a good opportunity.

A lot of us (Pinoys) might just open a shopify store with the bitcoin option, I myself have plans to create a free delivery gadget store just within my area, I've already applied as a reseller on facebook supplier. Smiley
A sub forum can definitely help as a marketing channel.

That's interesting and I'd love to use such services if ever someone will launch one. I will look forward to that. BTW where is your area? Is it somewhere in metro Manila?

What ever happened?

Are you guys going to get your own board?

Looks like you are the one interested for Philippines to have it's own sub-section. You just bumped a thread that has been idle for 42 days

If it is that big it probably should, i can tell you that, for example, the spanish section is pretty much abandoned and theres only a few people talking there so i really dont see any reason not to make that one, in any case delete the spanish one

It's strange what you say about spanish. It is the third most spoken language and the second one most learned. I would await that this language is more widely used because of that. I mean bitcoiners live everywhere. I don't see a reason why spanish speaking people should use bitcoin less more.

I guess the countries that speak Spanish, Bitcoin is not developed in yet. Most people that use Bitcoin speak English compared to other languages.
Also, not everyone that uses Bitcoin is on this forum. Only a very small percentage are on this forum.
I see quite some people that speak Spanish on this forum. It is probably the second most spoken language on this forum, after English.
