Now the profits dropped 50% on that pool and you want $70 for #7..... gpu mining is now over...thx

Are you reading the numbers Bensam?

Mining lyra2v2 on zpool is 50.43% more profitable than nicehash.

Yeah, but not compared to mining the coins direct... Which you can figure out with Whattomine. There is always overhead, where bots try to push Nicehash prices down and keep a buffer between actual coin prices and what they make.

I'm still here.

The only way to make profit now is to use my private kernals. Here is scryptr's config with sp-mod #7 on 3 low profile 750ti's (38w tdp each)

Zpool.ca is currenly paying 70% more than the nicehashminer, and 2 of the 4 best paying algos are not minable on nicehash.com

sp-mod #7 comes with fresh and optimized skein and x17 kernals.. (3 weeks old)

only 0.1BTC ppl..

Stop being a stick in the mud and pretending you aren't then -_-

Looks as though Zpool has equalized with Lyra/Eth across Nicehash. Nicehash mines on Zpool, Zpool autoswitchers switch to non-Nicehash algos, those get brought down and equalize with Nicehash. Not really anything there out of the ordinary. Lyra2v2 stuff is pretty common knowledge, Mona/Vert.

Could someone with a gigabyte 970gtx g1 please tell me their core clock frequently at no oc'ing while mining.  thx
Mine says 1413 core no oc'ing while mining when it should be 1117 ghz.
1400-1411 ( I have 3 of them )...

I DID NOT BUY A CARD SHRINK WRAPPED IN A CHEAP PLASTIC SHELL--

You did.  I bought a card with a cooling system that acts as I described.   If you can not understand it, you were the one who bought a cheap plastic card that you don't like.  You bought a swamp box in a cheap plastic shell that might melt. Tough!

--scryptr

It's not plastic. Swamp cooler is a type of cooling unit, you would've figured that out if you googled it... Just like randomly coming up with boyle's law after googling condensing and fluid dynamics. Actually that didn't even bring up boyle's law, not sure how you came up with that one as it doesn't even relate to what we're talking about besides loosely trying to tie it in.

While I don't have a doctorate or a degree in mechanical engineering, I do in other areas and I can smell BS a mile away. That and I actually own the card we're talking about and it does nothing like what you're talking about (including being 10c warmer then other cards from other manufacturers) while running at 100% fan speed.

there is no more talk of ccminer optimisation here for long now.
we should move to a generic nvidia mining thread, if there is one.
otherwise we can create it.

Yeah, after SP disappeared it kinda died out. There really isn't a better place though. The original CGminer thread? Could just leave it where it is. It doesn't matter if SP is around or not. Right now I'm monitoring a couple threads for a couple different distributions, Nanashi's/Genoil/Epsolyn, no one is currently really doing anything though besides Nanashi, but the thread isn't managed by him so I don't know what he's actually doing. That and he doesn't seem to be very good at fixing bugs or problems with his miner.

Other then that, no one is really making pub miners. Epsolyn makes hobby projects and doesn't really adhere to whatever is profitable, so he's out of the picture, although he finally merged the faster Lyra. Genoil I guess is waiting on the new WDDM patch/drivers for Windows sometime this month and not really working on a dual miner or speed improvements.

In other news, the shortage of 1070/1080s is 100% being caused by miners. If you look at the revenue per coin, it's been on a pretty regular downhill slop since the launch, even though BTC has actually increased in value as have a lot of the cryptos. Expect income to equalize with 970 revenue from a month ago in another month (August). IE you'll make with a 1070 what you made with a 970 a month ago in a month. And this is even before Ethereum explodes with PoS.

Happy mining -_-

sp-mod private #7 for the 750ti was released 09-jun-2016 (less than one month ago)

Still some juice left to release.

I see some easy pickings in x11evo,sib and lyra2. Could be included in the sp-mod private #8 over the summer...

YESCRYPT--

I am not able to launch the Yescrypt algo; it is listed in the Help file for your Private Miner.  Is it not a finished work?   Or, does it require special parameters?      --scryptr

HE IS ALIVE!!! --

You bring good news, too.  Thanks!, and thanks again for your correction on my configuration file for MinerControl.  It has been corrected on the Zpool forum: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15464974       --scryptr

He is alive but doing private only.
There are already a lot of private developers.
We need someone to keep up the opensource miner.

you are the only one and epsylon3, but he is not interested in pascal it seems

we have also djm34, but dunno if he is active, i see him connected some times

yeah sp is mia, he said he don't want to continue this, you should make your own thread Pallas, from what i understood you are a coder also, or maybe you have one already

No, I don't have a thread for "ccminer", even though I worked on it for more than a year now.
I've submitted some improvements and made some private work.
I may fork sp's ccminer and continue from there BUT:

- the code base is outdated, we should start from latest tpruvot's; but then it would make more sense to submit to his own fork directly (I did that too).
- sp_ said he might eventually post his optimisations on a newer codebase so I didn't want to do a duplicate work.
- applying all sp_'s optimisations to tpruvot's is no easy nor quick task; it might take months.
- some of the optimisations are on dead or almost dead algos; it might be better to restart from scratch... don't know.

last time i checked some tpruvot algo were not running at the same optimized hash of sp last version(not talking about private) like qubit and akin

i think it's better to fork from sp(so you get all the boost already), but if he will do it later at some point, then maybe we can just wait, but not sure his last message leave much to be desired...

Hell no. I ported pool management from trupvot's in my private fork. And that wasn't an easy job.
From the other side: no matter what you will choose as main codebase, this will take a lot of time in both cases. Just in my opinion: port from sp to trupvot's will be easier.
