I am again kinda late with this overview, but better late than never. All charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Nigerian, Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards.
Post activity per local board during January 2022During January 2022 19539 posts were made, which is a bit lower than December 2021 during which 20817 posts were written. No big change at the top: Russian board by far the most active one as usual, while both German and Turkish board kept their positions, being 2nd and the 3rd most active board.
Not many boards experienced increase in post count, with basically only Indonesian board having decent growth compared to December ( from 937 to 1211 which is approximately 30% increase). When it comes to boards that experienced decrease, only Bangladesh sticks out with almost 60% decrease. Few others with a noticeable loss are Italian that had ~20% loss compared to previous month (from 985 to 755), and eventually Russian board with ~13% decrease while other boards were mostly below 10% decrease.
Once again kudos to Nigerian and Pakistan communities for keeping a respectable activity despite not having own local board. Bangladesh is still decently active but their numbers went down a lot compared to previous months and it might affect their chances of getting local board.
Merit shared per local board during January 2022When it comes to merit shared in the above mentioned period, there was an increase: from 6633 in December to 7070 during January 2022 which is not bad at all considering that January was less active, post wise.
No changes at the top compared to December 2022: Russian is far ahead the others as usual (which is not a surprise given their post count), followed by German, Turkish and Italian while this time Indonesian board finished at the 5th spot.
When it comes to biggest gainers, Dutch board really sticks out as during December 2021 they didn't have any merits shared while in the last month that number went up to 52. Another board with big increase is Indonesian as they had only 243 merits shared, while during last month that number went up to 598 which is more than a double. Few other boards went significantly up: Arabic, from 113 to 199 which is more in line with their usual numbers while Portuguese wasn't bad either, with close to 40% increase. Considering their activity I think that they have a lot of room for increase.
When it comes to decrease, Pilipinas board sticks out with ~35% decrease (from 29 to 19, followed by Spanish board that had ~30% less merit shared compared to previous period while no other decently active board didn't have any significant loss in the amount of merit shared. I really have no idea what's happening with Pilipinas board as considering their activity their merit numbers should be much higher and somehow I doubt that post quality there is so low.
Merit senders and receivers per local board during January 2022Straightforward chart that pretty much follows the amount of merit shared, with few odd cases like previously mentioned Pilipinas board.
Merit/Post ratio per local board for January 2022Dutch board is kinda messing this chart with 4.3 merit/post ratio, due 52 merits shared while having only 12 posts written but thanks to 12 month average we can see that their real numbers are way more normal. These kind of anomalies can happen with boards that are not too active as all you need is a couple of good posts to affect the ratio drastically. As we can see, blue color still dominates meaning we are still feeling the effect of the increased amount of merit sources.
The most active members per local board during January 2022And in the end, lost of those responsible for keeping their boards alive. joker_josue is once again the most active member across all local boards with 279 posts, beating last month's top poster willi9974 who has 240 posts. Keep it up guys!
