A lot of negative news for bitcoin is connected with the Chinese New Year. But let's hope that this is still not true, although there are statistics that it is on the Chinese New Year, bitcoin loses its positions, but still the hope remains.

Many people believe that after the Chinese New Year, bitcoin will begin to grow. I also want to hope for it because I'm tired of seeing the red market. I hope that in a week there will be a good growth.

Chinese new year does affect to crypto world, but not totaly. we assume that when chinese new year, chinese people will withdraw their investments for the new year's needs. but you should to remember, crypto world does not belong to china country. all countries are free to play crpto. so.. don't worry too much.

I don't believe that there will be another crash because there is already a big crash lately, if it deeps, it will not go  down so much and not all Chinese are cashing out every Chinese new year.

I think the Chinese New Year will not significantly affect Bitcoin prices, yes it is anticipated that Chinese will cash-out some of their Bitcoin to fund their festivities but I am dealing with Chinese people in the last 5 years and I know that they are one of the most conservative with their money.

Well it's in 3 days now. So it's interesting to see if it will fall again, I'm planning to buy if so.

Anyone planning on selling beforehand?
I don't plan on selling until I see it back at $15,000. There's no harm in waiting so I'll let the Chinese New Year pass and see what's about to happen after the celebration is done. There are too many beliefs that Chinese people needs to do that's connected on how to become wealthier and prosperous throughout the entire year. And they will buy more bitcoin as they have a belief that the more you'll have for the entire time, you will become wealthy until the end of the year and this will be done on repetition.

I am totally with you pal, I too do not plan on selling anytime soon. At least not until I reach the realistic desired profit I have set and have been expecting for this year. Although I am completely on a loss right now, I am still buying whenever I get the chance to do so and if my financial state lets me to. I have been looking at the past years of the cryptos and I think I saw a pattern. Although I am not assuring I am right, but if I am right, I sure am on the way to hitting the jackpot. Lol. Anyways, hope that we both are making the right decisions and succeed. Smiley

I don't think Chinese New Year will have any major impact on cryptocurrency.
China is no longer the country with huge trading volumes.

In my opinion To celebrate the new year, Chinese people can also sell their hold bitcoin according to market price. That reflects a further price decline, so maybe this is the best time to turn your money around. After China's new year, prices will start to increase again. So use both options to shine in trading

What are your thoughts on the whole Chinese New Year speculation?

A lot of people think there's gonna be another crash during that time. Did you buy during this initial crash or are you waiting for mid Februar.? I'm leaning towards the latter.

There is no movement, either deposit or withdrawal, in my portfolio right now. My Bitcoins are intact. Back then, I seldom park my Bitcoins and altcoins to USDT or Tether but I have heard a lot of issues and suppose risks involved in Tether. Since that time, I already started to avoid using Tether. I just let my Bitcoins ride in the very rough roller-coaster experience. No problem for me. We all agree that Bitcoin will generally be moving upward.

I think the price of bitcoin will not totally affected by this Chinese New Year celebration, as we know that China has banned the use of cryptocurrency in their country and block the access to all domestics and foreign exchanges. And it was resulted to massive downfall of bitcoin few weeks ago at $6kUSD. China has done the damage already and not this time again. We had now stabilized at $8K ~ $9K and i don't think that this will go lower than $7.5KUSD due to this Chinese New Year.

The eve of the Chinese New year is a period of significant expenses, during which people book all kinds of travel and recreation, not to mention the purchase of gifts. Just as in Europe and America spend money before Christmas, so in the far Eastern countries in January are preparing for the new year. Therefore, the January fall is completely predictable and connects it with the new year on the lunar calendar and the significance of this holiday for the Chinese.

every year there is a crash during this month of the year because of it, many chinese would like to spend lots of money for this event, it is a good oppurtunity to buy during this event.

I am clearly convinced that everybody in Asia are buying 10BTC+ worth of presents for the loved ones for holidays. /sarcasm

It's all speculation. The Chinese are the biggest buyers, owners and producers (sellers) of Bitcoin.
It would make more sense that the mining operations sell some assets to stay safe (have money for the bills) in case of big price fluctuations in the couple of days they will celebrate, that could affect the price, but not the sales of individuals. However, I believe that lately the price is in the hands of the speculators, so the holidays don't matter that much in the equation.

I'm still waiting, but still, I'm happy either the deflation or inflation happens for me it was a win-win situation if bitcoin crashed then I will buy more low price good profit if bitcoin increase then I will wait till it reaches my goal price then cash out and buy again after the crash. On this kind of investment, you only need a great patience time is a huge part of this kind of investment.

To wait remains a little. So let's see how it really will be. On the market, crypto currency is solid manipulation. And all manipulations are usually adjusted to events. And the Chinese New Year is no exception.

currently the red market, I do not really know why the market is so unstable this week. may be true, the Chinese New Year will have an effect on the development of crypto. I am currently just trying to research the state of the market and trying to find profit opportunities in every altcoin

Why does everyone think that all the Chinese are selling the Crypto currency in the New Year, would you do it yourself? If you need cash for holidays, what kind of purchases will you bring out money for the week, who needs them on New Year's Eve?
